The 12 Best New Restaurants in Tampa | Eater Miami

"After putting his food truck in park (literally) when Covid hit, Felix “Bubba” Flores launched “Smoking out the Heights” during which he served his award-winning barbecue pulled pork sandwiches and brisket in Seminole Heights until he sold out (which was every day). It was so well-received, he opened his first brick and mortar this summer that serves up no-frills barbecue like the Tampa Two (pulled brisket and mac ‘n cheese sandwiches), jalapeño and cheddar-infused smoked sausages as well as briskets, pork, ribs and chicken by the half pound, and the just-released burnt ends on Friday until they sell out (which still tends to happen every day)."

Omg this food is so good and fresh. The food was hot and again so tasty, ate most of the bread before I realized I hadn't taken a picture. The Apple barbecue sauce is the bomb.com. They get 10 star's, this was my first order and it won't be my last 😋😋😋

Let me start by saying, I’m a big guy, so I know good food when I taste it. I’m no stranger to a hearty meal, and today’s choice did not disappoint. I went for the Tampa Two, which features pulled brisket, mac and cheese, and queso all nestled between two slices of buttery Texas toast. It was absolutely incredible! I also got the double tater tots as a side, and they were a solid 10/10. The place itself is great—super friendly staff, and it was spotless, which always makes a big impression. I’ve always said you can judge a place by the condition of its bathroom, and this one was immaculate. I’ll definitely be back for more!

Google
I just picked up from the restaurant so did not have the opportunity to eat here. However, the ordering process was flawless. I ordered through their web page. The Dirty Dog was delicious (tiny piece of bone in it but I know that happens). Smoke bomb potato was excellent. I only tried the sweet BBQ sauce. Kind of wish I got a little bit of each to try them all out. They have a really good menu here which means I will have to come back and try a few other items. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Google
Great meal and really friendly, helpful, prompt service. Pulled chicken was plentiful, tender and tasty but the collard greens stole the show for my significant other. I had pulled pork - huge serving with a unique smoke flavour I can only put down to the use (obviously) of oak in the smoker. Slaw and potato salad were up to the standard you'd expect from good southern BBQ fixins. To top it off, I forgot my shoulder bag and the waitress chased me down the street to return it, wallet and all.

I ordered delivery today for a late lunch early dinner for two people. This is one place the two of us consistently agree on and we go here at least once a month sometimes we go eat more frequently. Today I got the Dirty dog and loaded tots. The Dirty dog was put on a normal hot dog bun when it usually comes on a brioche bun, even without the stuffing inside of it, the sausage would not have fit properly in the bun. The pork was flat and bread was soggy. Usually ordering this delivery is not an issue bc the brioche bun holds up to all the queso. The entire thing looked just unappealing to the eye. My loaded tots where again the meat was flat as in no flavor depth no seasoning barely a taste, nothing. The tots barely had queso on them and were unseasoned and flat tasting. For the second person, a pulled chicken sandwich, which is normally tossed in sauce then out on bun and comes with a side container of sauce, also missing on the sandwich was jalepeno which you pay extra for. The chicken was dry and flat tasting as well. Which unfortunately was the same meat ordered on the smoke bomb potato, as well as not having enough queso. Sour cream also put in a hot food container instead of outside in the bag. Instead of a paper bag which is normally used all items were shoved into a plastic bag that was hard to open. This was a really disappointing order from somewhere we order from frequently. And a real disappointing use of my money.

Google
Sooooo good! Do yourself a favor and try their Tampa Two. It’s our most favorite thing to get whenever we’re in the mood for some BBQ. This is our go to place because the taste and quality are top notch. The sauces are fun too!! The Mac and cheese is so delicious as well.

Google
Great location. Nice folks. Inside sitting area could use some life. Outside eating area needs 3 large sunshades and string lights. Food was good but not great. The beef brisket had a great smokey flavor. Ribs tender but not smokey. Pulled pork not as good as brisket. Mac n cheese was gross. Yes, no cheesey flavor. Needs smokey paprika and cheese. Pasta is prepped and chilled. Remember that means it needs extra heat to taste fresh. Texas toast did not have the buttery flavor instead tasted like old oil. Hog feed was nothing but cornbread and creamed corn with heat. Not much rich corn flavor. Try adding cinnamon to cornbread. In our opinion Big John's was much better with a better $ value.

walter truzack

Google
I have to say food was good. Everything was spicy though I felt like they had to put heat and everything. The price of the rib sandwich which is a McRib on Cuban with real ribs was very pricey. Cheaper to get the half rack of ribs and two sides than it is for the half of rack on a sandwich.

Yelp
When I tell you I've waited a long time to enjoy some GREAT BBQ in Tampa again I am not playing around. I am proud to say that I was a member of Alex's BBQ back in the day. I worked there in high school and I'm very skeptical about great BBQ in Tampa. If you know about Alex's you know what BBQ royalties are all about. So let me say that Wicked Oak BBQ is where it's at in Tampa FL!!! AMAZING flavor and meats! Creative sauces and excellent sides! Especially the collards!!! BAM!!!! Now that's how BBQ should be prepared!!! I can't wait to order again!!! See photos! That Wicked Juice tastes like Tampas own version of Purple Jungle Juice

Yelp
Sunday 9/15/2024 My family was out getting food while I was in the crib and asked me if wanted anything from here. I looked at the menu and decided to give it a shot. I got a combo platter of ribs (+$2) & wangs (+$2) with Mac n cheese & baked beans. I also got several different bbq sauces: regular, mango, apple, & guava. - The ribs were my favorite item. They were decent and seasoned well to create a good flavor. - The wangs were alright but some of them were a little burnt. Also the wings would've been better if they were tossed in the bbq sauce but instead they came out plain with the sauce automatically going on the side. - The Mac n cheese was alright but the noodles could've been cooked a bit more. - The baked beans were very mediocre. They tasted like canned beans from a store. - The sauces were all very unique and interesting. My rankings would go regular, mango, apple, and then guava. Overall, my bbq experience here was alright but nothing really memorable or impressive to me. Although I wasn't crazy about it, the rest of my family ended up enjoying it a good amount.

Yelp
I ordered through UberEats as we wanted to try it but are a bit further and never really down in that area and I was excited to see they would deliver to us one day we were really craving barbecue. There was a lot of hype I've seen and stellar reviews so my expectations were pretty high and honestly, they were not met. All of the meats were cooked well and stood decently on their own. Specifically the pulled pork, smoked sausage and wings were pretty good. The brisket was not really as expected - my husband wasn't a fan, but I normally don't like brisket and liked this one. Some of the meats had a heavier smoky flavor, which isn't my favorite but overall the meats were pretty okay. The sauces for me were a real let down. We tried the sweet and apple bbq. The sweet had a smokiness and heartiness to it - it was fine but not anything special. The apple bbq was very thin and getting close to more of a vinaigrette which was interesting, but I really didn't find it that appealing. It worked fairly well with the pulled chicken though. As far as the sides, the hog feed was my favorite thing we ordered. It's a cornbread casserole that has a tiny kick to it - very tasty! The baked beans I had were just slightly better than canned beans from the store, so that wasn't ideal. The collards were pretty good. The Mac and cheese lacked flavor - not a fan, neither was my daughter who hardly ever turns down Mac and cheese but did today. The tots were disappointing because the inside wasn't fully cooked - still had the undercooked potato chew inside. We also tried the boiled peanuts, which my daughter devoured. The wicked purple drink - the violet lemonade - I had such high hopes for but no one in our family would get past a sip. The whipped banana pudding was good had good flavor and definitely a unique twist having the whipped texture but it worked well! Overall, it was decent but the hype around it had me expecting far better. Just due to not liking so many items including their sauces, the location being out of the way, the price being high (maybe more due to the delivery), and us having better barbecue nearby - we won't likely return.

Yelp
Flavortown BBQ! If you're craving some grilled meats this is the place in Tampa! We ordered a 1/2 lb of brisket and the Tampa style sandwich with brisket and mac. The meat was super tender along with their yummy sweet sauce. The Texas toast was so buttery and delicious. We would for sure order again and try more meats - also good portions and prices.

Yelp
Located in Seminole Heights Tampa, this barbecue spot is a must-visit for BBQ enthusiasts. Known for their wicked tots topped with pulled pork, the food here never disappoints. With a variety of barbecue sauces to choose from, including delicious sweet options, there's something for everyone's taste buds. If you're planning a midday lunch, this is the perfect spot to satisfy your cravings. Just keep in mind that parking can be a challenge due to limited space, so arriving early is recommended to secure a convenient spot. Whether you're a returning customer or a first-time visitor, the flavorful dishes and inviting atmosphere make this restaurant a standout choice for a tasty meal in Seminole Heights.

Yelp
Lemonade and tea options are plentiful and delicious, nice indoor and outdoor seating, customer service was awesome. Good portions we ate brisket, Mac and cheese with greens also came with Texas toast very cozy atmosphere
google avatar

Michael L.

Yelp
Only critique: they close really early. 7pm they are done (at least during the week) The rest is good! Portions are solid, I usually get to-go but the seating is unique and available. They have four bbqs available also to choose from.

Yelp
First time ordering from this restaurant, I enjoyed it. The chicken was delicious the peanuts had so much flavor. I will be order again from here again. :)

Marcha B.

Yelp
I ordered Wangz and boiled peanuts delivery from Uber. The Wangz were a nice size and perfectly smoked. I also like that you can either order all flats are all drums. I hadn't eaten boiled peanuts for years because I didn't like the ones I had had before. Just out of curiosity, I tried them again and absolutely loved these! I think smoking them makes all the difference and they are certainly spicy. I would certainly order both of them again.

Yelp
Service great - check Clean place - very well kept Walk up to building smells Smokey and delish - check Collard greens - best thing here Mac and cheese - average, runny and mushy mac Brisket - it was shredded not sliced, tasted eh Ribs - no good at all. Looked good but tasted bad. No taste at all. Summary - if you're looking for Stellar collar greens this is your place. The rest of it was not good at all. Not worth the bbq price tag. Bummed because the people are nice, I really wanted it to be good.

Yelp
This is my go to bbq place even though it is on the other side of town! The food is always super fresh and you get alot of food for your money. The smoked chicken wings are my favorite and I get them everytime I order. I am a huge fan of their pulled chicken sandwich as well.
google avatar

Heather V.

Yelp
Doesn't look like much on the outside but if you let your nose lead the way, you wont be disappointed. This was my first time so I really leaned on reviews and employees favorites for help on this one and I already can't wait to come back for round two. I love the open kitchen concept. Always been a fan and this is no different. You order at the counter and take a seat in their dining room or to go. We tried their wings in the wicked mango sauce per suggestion and holy spot on. They're smoked first and then fried "for a little extra somethin' somethin'". We added some baked beans and coleslaw which were great but after looking at the table's plate of tots next to us we knew where we could've done better. We did order some ribs to go to make up for it. We also tried their wicked juice which is a violet infused lemonade and refreshing as ever. I can see why they have such a stacked trophy room. They know a thing or five about good bbq. Will absolutely come back
google avatar

Francine C.

Yelp
I have dined at Wicked Oak Barbeque several times and have always enjoyed the unique flavors they offer. However, my recent experience was unfortunately disappointing. The wings were bland, the coleslaw was watery and mushy, and the beans tasted like they were straight out of a can.The meal fell short of my expectations compared to my previous visits. Despite being the only customer at the time, the service felt hurried. I have dined here over ten times, and while the experience has been good each time, it has been different on each occasion. Unfortunately, this visit will be my last, but I still highly recommend it even so!

Yelp
Did you just go to Lowery Park (that's the real name) Tampa Zoo w your kids and husband? Are they getting hAngry? By chance, we happened to be looking for a quick ice cream to calm the crazies, and found this awesome BBQ joint instead. The owner and staff were on point! Hearing the story of how the owner decided to risk it all and start this biz really makes you see that the American dream is alive and well. The food was amazing! The kids shared a Mac n cheese & brisket sandwich w an additional side of mac n cheese, because that's how much they loved it! Dad and I both had the brisket and some ribs. We sampled a bunch of the sides as well. Did I mention they have a cool selection of BBQ sauces? If you're hungry and in the area, stop in for a bite or call in for a takeout order. You won't be disappointed! (Im sorry, I totally forgot to take pics of the food) Owner even gave the kids a pep talk about hard work and a cookie to send them on their way. Woot!

Yelp
I was in the area running an errand for work and my coworker and I had wicked oak Barbeque catered so we had to come by for a late lunch! We were happily greeted by a very sweet cashier who was very knowledgeable. I ordered the combination plate with ribs, shredded chicken, Mac and cheese and baked beans. The food came out very quickly and tasted bomb!! The seasoning on EVERYTHING was to perfection. The rib meat came clean off the bone, the chicken was well seasoned and moist and the Mac and cheese was so cheesy and not dry. The baked beans really did it for me though, they had pieces of meat in them and were nice and sweet! I also got the whipped banana pudding that was absolute fire! It was great seeing all the awards and article written on the walls because they are well deserved. I also love the theming/ decor of the dining area, it was very clean and unique. I can't wait to come back!
google avatar

Eric R.

Yelp
Pulled brisket was very salty. Can only get sliced brisket on Sunday? Does that mean the pulled brisket on a Saturday is 6 days old? BBQ sauces were meh. Baked beans and cornbread casserole were both tasty.
google avatar

DeShondra B.

Yelp
Leftover Ribs and Burnt Ends!!! laser focus on eating we missed photos to show the food Mac and cheese for BBQ was good, the greens on point! Let me not forget them Wings!!!! The best ever. You must eat here burnt ends only on Fridays.

Yelp
I said Station House was my favorite BBQ in Tampa, but HNNNNGH I'm not so sure anymore! I got the combo platter with pulled brisket, jalapeno cheddar sausage, baked beans, and hog feed (cornbread casserole). Everything was amazing! The brisket was super tender and juicy, the sausage had a really unique flavor to it, and both the hog feed and texas toast were really light and fluffy. I also got two sauces, the mango and the guava. I liked how they were on the thinner side, and the mango had a nice kick to it-- definitely my favorite one. I appreciated how they wrapped up the toast inside the box as well, lots of BBQ places I feel just let the bread get all soggy. The place itself was really cool with a fun purple theme both inside and out. Tables were clean, staff was really friendly and always smiling. It was kinda chilly inside which was weird since it was almost 60 degrees outside, but that's the only quip I really have. I will definitely be back soon!
google avatar

Yelp
Man... you could miss this place but don't. You like BBQ? You are visiting Tampa Bay Area? Heck Central Florida? Or you have been living in this area for years! You owe it you taste buds to enjoy the experience that is Wicked Oak BBQ. Wicked Rib, Smoke Bomb, Wangs, Mango bbq sauce. Thank me later!
google avatar

Lyndsey P.

Yelp
Just tried this place yesterday and it was amazing. Everyone was kind and helped me pick out the best choices for my first time. Great BBQ!! Would recommend and will be back!
google avatar

Bre F.

Yelp
Tried this place based on all of the awesome reviews and sadly it didn't live up to the hype for me. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing but the sausage was dry and the pulled chicken lacked flavor (even after I soaked it in the sweet "spicy" bbq sauce). The potato salad and the bread was good.... Mac n cheese was different... not super cheesy or anything. They're a bit overpriced in my opinion (and trust me I have no problem paying for food if it's good). The service is fast, they get you in and out pretty quickly . I went on a weekday during lunch so there was no wait. I'm really surprised some people say this is the BEST bbq in tampa. To each their own I guess, just lacked seasoning for me... like I said, maybe I ordered the wrong thing, who knows.

Kristin L.

Yelp
If you are looking for brisket, this is NOT the spot for you. This is a sandwich BBQ joint, not BBQ. Nothing tasted smoked. Definitely disappointed! Also no regular BBQ sauce, just sweet syrup like options, quite odd.
google avatar

Brittany M.

Yelp
So when you find this place it is in the exact same building as king of the coop, Now since that's addressed let's talk about this BBQ!! Second time can even be better than the first and honestly it was! Boiled peanuts were the first thing to order next was on the the pulled pork sandwich and a quick dessert because I had just worked out and it was well earned! The food is phenomenal!!! Honestly it's really good I wish they were closer to where I live but I don't mind making the drive for some good BBQ.

Frank L.

Yelp
The sauce is good just thin. Service is good . I had the chicken platter with collard greens and coleslaw . Plenty of food. Collard greens were tasty. Chicken was well made. Had wicked juice a little too sweet for me. Works great with unsweetened tea! I really enjoyed eating there.

Joanne G.

Yelp
Everything was delicious. Baked beans were some of the best I have had. Would definitely return
google avatar

Quinessa H.

Yelp
Stopped in for a to go order and they were very efficient. My food took less than 10 minutes to prepare. The wicked mama was crust on the outside and warm & cheesy inside. The hog feed was good but I wish it was a bit sweeter. The mac n cheese is okay but a bit heavy on the pepper. The pork was tender and bread was nicely toasted. The bbq sauces I tried were the sweet, mango and apple. The apple was a bit too sweet for me, but I mixed the mango and sweet bbq sauce together for my sandwich and Mac to boost the flavor profile.
google avatar

Rodney R.

Yelp
Pretty good BBQ, not too many frills. Pork and brisket are worth your time. This place has a serious inventory problem though. There's not a slim chance that they're out of what you're craving. And good luck ever getting their burnt ends, apparently those sell out within minutes on Friday. Overall thumbs up, but go in expecting half of the menu to be out of stock.
google avatar

Mike L.

Yelp
After months of driving by this place, but not stopping in. They popped up on my Facebook feed. Always working in the areaI decided today was the day to give them a try for lunch. Immediately upon entering the doors I was greeted with smiling faces and welcomed. As I looked over the menu they were very helpful explaining the different things on the menu and making suggestions. I decided on the two meat combo plate with ribs and pulled pork. For my two sides it was very hard to decide because they all looked great, but I went with the baked beans and the collard greens. This is some of the best barbecue that I have had in Tampa. The ribs and the pulled pork were absolutely incredible. Just the right amount of smoke and very tender. The two sauces that I tried were the mango and the sweet barbecue sauce. Both were fantastic , if I had to pick one, I would say the mango just barely edged out the sweet. But I would certainly be happy with either one of them. The menu has a Lotta very delicious looking selections. Can't wait to try the wings and the brisket next. And if you find yourself looking for fantastic barbecue within a 25 mile radius get here immediately!
google avatar

Miguel B.

Yelp
Very much delicious and worth every penny. Most BBQ places give small portions when you order a meat platter that was not the case with wicked oak. I bough the 2 meat player with beans and collard greens. The meat was pulled pork and st Lois style ribs. EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS!!! There are sauces at the table. Guava and Manger habanero were my favorite. $21 and change. But like I said the portions are worth the money.

StephenGarcia ..

Yelp
Reviews are pretty surprising to me... it's not good bbq. Feels off in there too, idk weird vibes

Yelp
Food truck goes bricks and mortar at 6607 N Florida. . Long time Riverview food truck now shares space with King of the Coop. Got the recommend Tampa 2 (great nod to monte kiffin and the winners of Super Bowl xxxvii). This is a heavy sandwich, Mac and cheese, queseo beautiful smoked brisket all sandwiched between two thick flat iron grilled Texas toast. In retrospect I should have gotten a less busy option and focused more on the meat. They have simple pulled pork, smoked chicken and brisket sandwiches or better yet a two meat platter. There 813 wings with mango BBQ are supposed to be really good as well. With so many options and verified outstanding smoked meat, will be back soon. The only downside is the lack of seating. There is a 3-4 table patio out back and got the last table next to someone's house. It's also a bit closed in and had one annoying green bottle fly who crashed the party. Lots of people getting take out which could be an option for some but too far away for me to get it home without losing some quality.
google avatar

Jim N.

Yelp
The food is always great here! The only drawback is the parking. You will probably have to park on a side street and walk. It's worth it though, great friendly staff and great food. I'm not much of a bbq sauce guy as I enjoy the taste of the meat but I've tasted their sauce. Too sweet for my palate. Anyhow it's our third visit and I've never been disappointed! Prices are a little high but you get a lot of food. They definitely do not scrimp!
google avatar

Isaura D.

Yelp
My favorite is their version of the Cuban, the Mac and cheese and hogs feed. We always get a pan of these during the holidays.

Ethan S.

Yelp
Went here with some friends on a Friday night. The food was excellent. I got the pulled pork, cheddar jalapeño sausage, tots, and coleslaw (and also sampled the turkey and brisket my friends got). The sides were solid but the barbecue was incredible; reminiscent of KC style. Their sauces were unique but also very good; I'd recommend the guava. The service was prompt and friendly, and the owner even talked to us for a while and showed us the smoker in the back. The location itself is a bit small with somewhat limited seating, but it wasn't too crowded (seems like most customers ordered takeout). I'm looking forward to coming back to try the upcoming breakfast menu!
google avatar

Yadimar T.

Yelp
Food size was really good. I was expecting more from the meat. Not sure if it's because I went late but the brisket was alright. Chicken was a little bland. But overall the sizes taste amazing! Good customer service! Place is missing air conditioning it was pretty hot in there.

Marie C.

Yelp
Got all the way out there from South Tampa to find place closed on 4th of July at 5 pm. No sign on door , nothing!! I wasn't only disappointed potential customer - there were many of us!!!

Brenda F.

Yelp
Best barbecue ribs in Tampa. Everyone came for secondsI recommend Wicked Oaks if you want to eat great barbecue.
google avatar

Chad W.

Yelp
Friend told me that they have really good burnt ends, so I came for that. "Only on fridays" the menu said when I got there. Asked for ribs. "We're out, sorry." I tried the brisket instead, while the wife got the pork. Both were at least up to par with most bbq we've tried in the area. We were told the burnt ends were to die for, so we came back a few weeks later. "We're out of burnt ends, we run out of those immediately, you have to call us on Thursday if you want burnt ends." I mean, if you want decent bbq with some of the most haphazard of ingredient upkeep, have at it, you'll have some decent food. As I speak they're out of tater tots, combo platters, ribs and wings. Frankly I don't care enough to try to spend my time trying to get their fabled burnt-ends as if I were trying to snag Springsteen tickets. I later learned that they were a food truck originally, so the lackluster inventory management made more sense then. Nice enough staff though.
google avatar

Boon C.

Yelp
For the BBQ they are about middle of the pack in Tampa. Their combo compare to many place they are right portion not the generous portion. We got the combo package with collard greens and sweet corn as side. The main meat is the hog feed and the rib and brisket. The hog feed is the pull pork. I think the rib is better. Brisket is just good. We also got the pork sandwich. Their food is good but not to jump out the seat. Price is a bit in the expensive side. May be create something attractive to the side items will attract more business. I do like the choice of the sauce. We got the mango sauce and the guava sauce. It is interesting.

Mackenna T.

Yelp
Omg this bbq was so good. Quick and kind service and literally the bbq was to die for. Also enjoyed the Mac and cheese. The boiled peanuts were interesting and had a smoky flavor
google avatar

Nicholas S.

Yelp
The staff are phenomenal. Sausage are just the right amount of savory and spicy. The ribs don't need sauce they tastes amazing as is. Hell, none of the meat needs sauce. The greens mouthwatering. The pulled pork was boarder line wet it was so juicy. The sauces are vinegar delicious. Apple, mango, and guava. That's right Guava! Trust me just try it. The bourbon burnt ends melt, literally melt, in your mouth. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.
google avatar

Brett N.

Yelp
Why 5 stars? Because it's no wonder they're so popular. --- --- --- This building has certainly been through quite a few different restaurants over the last five years, but I think this is the best concept. Technically, the last occupant, King of the Coop, just moved into the shared space next door. I assume it's all under the same ownership since there's no physical separation between the restaurants. But King of the Coop is great too - definitely an upgrade from the previous tenants: a biscuit shop and a pizza shop. Maybe there was even something else mixed in there? Either way, there were around 15 people in here either waiting to order or waiting on their food. I didn't expect that, but now that I've eaten it, I get it. Everything we ordered ranged from good to amazing. Tater Tots. Certainly not bad - just typical. I kind of wished we'd gotten the loaded version, but the plain ones were fine: 4-stars. Hog Feed: aka Cornbread Casserole. I dug it. I'd absolutely order it again. 4.5 stars Loaded mac-n-cheese: We opted for pulled pork and very much enjoyed it. The mac itself was a bit basic, but overall this was a great dish, especially with the sweet BBQ sauce poured on top. 4.5 stars. 813 Wangs: Wings, but with one special difference: they are every so slightly fried just to give them a bit more texture. These were great and I wish more places did their wings like this. 5 stars. Tampa Two: Pulled pork, mac-n-cheese, queso and Texas Toast. All things I love and when put together, my love is amplified. Every time I order some sort of fancy grilled cheese sandwich with pulled pork, this is what I dream it will taste like. Unfortunately, it rarely lives up to my expectations. But here, it exceeded them. This was basically the perfect sandwich. Bravo to you, chef/owner! This makes me miss living in Seminole Heights, but it was certainly worth the 15-20 minute drive from Carrollwood!

Yelp
Love the BBQ ribs and greens was delicious will go back again. Service was excellent

Yelp
I have traveled all over the US and had my fair share of bbq. Wicked Oak lands in my top 3. If you like bbq this could be the best Florida has to offer.

Yelp
Busy place! Definitely a local crowd! Order inside and eat out on picnic tables out back. My husband and I shared the pick 2 combo, brisket & pulled pork and added 2 ribs, potato salad & coleslaw. The meat was the best!! So good! The potato salad was too sweet and the slaw was too salty. I will be going back! Maybe take it Togo?

Yelp
Definitely a must try if you love BBQ! The staff were all working hard and at the same time all friendly and made sure to welcome me as soon as I walked in. I ordered the wings and also bought two sides. If you know me you already know what sides I picked lol. Collard greens and Mac! Both of which were very very good. My wife got the ribs which came with two sides. She chose greens and potato salad. She loveddddd it! We will definitely be back for more! I'll leave pics below :)

Yelp
I've been riding by this place for 2 years and never noticed it. Then a new traffic light goes up at their corner and suddenly I'm thinking I discovered a new place. Wow! Soooo good! I'll be stopping by on the way home from work on Tuesdays until we've had everything on the menu and then we'll start all over again. Picked Tuesday randomly. If I could get away with eating like this every day, I would.

Yelp
Everything was great! We had pulled pork, pulled brisket, ribs, mac and cheese and tater tots. That mac and cheese was on point
