Austin Food Trucks Close Because of Rain and Thunderstorms in April | Eater Austin
"Because of the weather, I noted the Austin Food & Wine Alliance canceled its Live Fire event scheduled for April 6, calling the decision 'heart-wrenching' and saying there are no plans to reschedule; the nonprofit is asking would-be attendees to donate ticket prices to help students attend its Culinary Arts Career Conference, support its culinary grant program, change the ticket to its Wine & Wine food event in November, postpone the ticket to next year, or request a refund via an online form (deadline Friday, April 14, with refunds by Tuesday, April 18)." - Nadia Chaudhury
"I reviewed the full menu for Live Fire, a beef-centric, Mexico-inspired event from the Austin Food & Wine Alliance; the lineup includes salt-cured beef in the sun from San Antonio’s Carnitas Lonja, beef tongue wrapped in banana leaves from La Flaca, barbacoa jalapeno poppers from LeRoy & Lewis, and more beef dishes. The event takes place Thursday, April 4 from 7 to 9:30 p.m. at Camp Mabry." - Nadia Chaudhury
Willie Nelson’s Luck Reunion Dinner Includes Texas’s Leading Female Chefs | Eater Austin
"The Austin Food & Wine Alliance is co-organizing the PotLuck Dinner, and executive director Mariam Parker said they look forward to tasting the chefs' dishes and hearing their stories as the chefs show how their heritage influences their cooking." - Nadia Chaudhury
Such a wonderful organization that plans fantastic events, both fun and educational and sometimes just a good ‘ol party! They also give back to the wine and hospitality community in so many ways.

Lots of great events throughout the year. My favorite last year was the Big Reds and Bubbles around the holidays. Got to pour (and taste) the Grange! I can't wait to see what the spring time wine festival will evolve into but I sure have loved attending and volunteering for many years.

Fun, little known organization I'm happy to be a member of. Not cheap, but you get a lot of bang for your buck.

Multiple good events and wine tasting classes monthly. Plus big periodic events.
