Wings on Deck

Wings on Deck doesn’t miss. I don’t even like wings. I’d rather eat a cheap pizza than wingstop or BWW (you can really miss me with the last one.) But chef Syd (spellcheck) is incredible. The service is fantastic, Layla (also spell check) and Mrs. Kitty are super friendly and accommodating and have made wonderful recommendations each time. They really contribute to a welcoming ambiance and the murals on the wall are super dope. Will be visiting regularly

Me and my boy had been looking forward to this place for a month for our schedules finally synced up. This is the joint!! Garlic parm and Lemon pepper wet should be your two first choices for wings. Great customer service from Layla working the front. She checked on us and make sure we were satisfied, chef poked his head out to give me and my boy an update on how long our dine-in order would take. That’s pretty considerate IMO. Loved the decor which repped DC and MD well. I’m a big fan of mural art that reps the business and its interests. First bite of my wings and fries will do, I already knew I was coming back and I told them the same. The only thing I wish they had that they didn’t was found drinks, especially Fanta strawberry or A&W root beer which are my drink staples. Hit them up if you’re in the neighborhood. It is a dangerous plus that they are on a strip next to a donut shop, a peach collar factory, and a record shop. I had to exhibit, self-control, and only buy wings when I went.

After the loss of our Horace and Dickies Takoma location, and following the also recent closure of other much loved businesses such as Spicy Delight and E-Life, I and I'm sure many other Takoma residents are relieved that Wings on Deck is finally open for business! The chicken is the perfect combo of crispy and juicy. Excited to come back and try out their other side options, my girlfriend and I both got the mac and cheese and were very pleased with it!

Friendly service and great food. I love the selection of wing flavors and the quality of the wings. The french fries are great, the mac and cheese might be the best I've ever had, and the other menu items I've tried (clam strips, boneless bites, shrimp) have all been very good. Definitely recommend ordering from Wings on Deck!

Can't say enough good things about Wings on Deck! Everything on the menu is fabulous and the food is clearly made with love. What's more - all the staff, from Sid the chef onwards, are super warm and welcoming to everyone. They also recently did a special catering order for us for a private event and knocked it out of the park. They were super easy to work with and you know how sometimes large quantity catering isn't as good as regular small orders? Not at Wings on Deck. Their catering, from wings to whiting to mac and cheese, was all superb. Our guests all said they were the best wings in DC. Such a great neighborhood establishment, great people, and great food!

I had the best wings I've had in a longgg time!! I got the honey lemon pepper all flats and all I can say is BOMB! I had to go back and get some more. The wings were fresh, hot, and the service was great!

Great food addition to the neighborhood. Excellent wings (the southern fried are out of this world. Love the collards and the Mac. Everyone is so nice and warm when you arrive. A little on the pricey side, but what isn't these days. 10/10 you should Check it out

Someone was standing outside the shop today advertising and convinced me to come in and check it out. I peaked at their menu and left. I doubled back later because everything they offered looked good and I wanted to try it. Bought some of their chicken tenders & fries. They DID NOT DISAPPOINT. Flavorful well-cooked tenders with nicely seasoned fries. The staff were instantly accommodating when I asked for the tenders to be fried hard. They were all very kind. Loved the made-to-order system and overall vibe of the place. Definitely will be running it back weekly for lunch or dinner.

Best chicken wing and catfish I've had in a while! Service was fast and helpful. Pretty big spot but we took ours to go. That catfish was cooked perfectly and so flavorful, the wings! The wings were amazing nice and crunch and super saucy and the sauce was finger licking good Try them out immediately

I don't have patience for places that make it a "thing" to figure out how to get into it. Locked front door, someone inside shouting and gesticulating through the tinted window where else to walk around the building or block to get in. I'm not a hamster playing with a food ball, I'm a patron going somewhere else.

Walking to Tamoka Station from work and saw this business and wanted to try it. It was great. Five pieces tender with honey lemon pepper buffalo with fries. Couldn't even get a picture of the food it was so good. The customer service is amazing and the chef is amazing.

Such flavorful food and with such a friendly staff. We got the mac and cheese, fries, and medium wings (10). Amazing and we WILL be back!

Visited with a friend for dinner after reading about Wings on Deck on Source of the Spring. The vibe of the place was pleasant and friendly. Open space inside with a few tables, each very large four-tops. The wall art was colorful and interesting to inspect. Food was good to very good. We would happily eat here again. Tried 4 flavors of tenders, medium onion rings, and medium beans. The portions were substantial. The tenders were moist and flavorful, without being too intense. I particularly liked the depth of flavor of the "terique", a mixed teriyaki and BBQ flavor. The lemon-pepper was very subtle. My friend preferred the straight-up BBQ flavor and helped themself to a second serving of the baked beans. The staff were friendly and our order was quickly taken. Food took about 20 minutes from order-to-table. It was apparent that they had only recently opened at this location, since some of the staff had trouble visually identifying each tray of served wings' flavor.

The food was delicious and the Wings on Deck family were so welcoming & warm. I LoVe the new soul food spot in Takoma. I got the fried catfish (real catfish...not that swai stuff!) and fried shrimp with their hand cut fries. Very well seasoned! Next time I will ask for it to be fried hard...but still delicious and affordable for the neighborhood spot!

This wing place is the absolute best spot! The staff are friendly and kind. The mac and cheese is amazing, the wings are amazing, and the fries are amazing! I will be trying the tenders and the shrimp next and report back! Absolutely delicious!!!! I left the same review on google because I love it that much!
