Wings on Deck

After the loss of our Horace and Dickies Takoma location, and following the also recent closure of other much loved businesses such as Spicy Delight and E-Life, I and I'm sure many other Takoma residents are relieved that Wings on Deck is finally open for business! The chicken is the perfect combo of crispy and juicy. Excited to come back and try out their other side options, my girlfriend and I both got the mac and cheese and were very pleased with it!

Someone was standing outside the shop today advertising and convinced me to come in and check it out. I peaked at their menu and left. I doubled back later because everything they offered looked good and I wanted to try it. Bought some of their chicken tenders & fries. They DID NOT DISAPPOINT. Flavorful well-cooked tenders with nicely seasoned fries. The staff were instantly accommodating when I asked for the tenders to be fried hard. They were all very kind. Loved the made-to-order system and overall vibe of the place. Definitely will be running it back weekly for lunch or dinner.

Best wings in the area. Great customer service (Layla) and the entire staff made sure that I was taken care of. The owner Sidney came out and introduced himself to me. His whole staff made me feel like family. I will definitely be back. Great job and keep up the good work

This wing place is the absolute best spot! The staff are friendly and kind. The mac and cheese is amazing, the wings are amazing, and the fries are amazing! I will be trying the tenders and the shrimp next and report back! Absolutely delicious!!!!

My good people my good people this is the spot. I had some fried fish from there the other night…. Sweet baby Jesus is in the kitchen!!! It’s the real thing y’all.. this comment is real i don’t eat anything. I treat myself jack. I’ll be back soon as possible every time.

such a great experience the wings were bomb!! Cooked well and very flavorful. The Mac was also great. Staff is super friendly and Jacque had absolutely amazing customer service highly recommend.

Wings On Deck did an excellent job for me and my family. Sidney the owner was very professional and attentive to the needs of his customers. The food was EXCELLENT!! Visited with a friend for dinner after reading about Wings on Deck on Source of the Spring. The vibe of the place was pleasant and friendly. Open space inside with a few tables, each very large four-tops. The wall art was colorful and interesting to inspect. Food was good to very good. We would happily eat here again. Tried 4 flavors of tenders, medium onion rings, and medium beans. The portions were substantial. The tenders were moist and flavorful, without being too intense. I particularly liked the depth of flavor of the "terique", a mixed teriyaki and BBQ flavor. The lemon-pepper was very subtle. My friend preferred the straight-up BBQ flavor and helped themself to a second serving of the baked beans. The staff were friendly and our order was quickly taken. Food took about 20 minutes from order-to-table. It was apparent that they had only recently opened at this location, since some of the staff had trouble visually identifying each tray of served wings' flavor.
