"Showing up to Wolf and Deer with more than three people is a mistake, so just stick to wooing a first date here during the week. Cocktails are on the pricey side ($14 each), but they’re easy to sip — or maybe just arrive before 8 p.m. when they’re $10 each." - Patty Diez

"Wolf & Deer is a wine and cocktail bar that should be your first choice for a drink before or after a show at the Barclays Center. All the action takes place around a big u-shaped bar, which gives the place a social feel. Oysters and cheese plates are on hand should you also need sustenance." - Katherine Lewin, Matt Tervooren

"Wolf & Deer is a casual wine and cocktail bar close to the Barclays Center with a lot of exposed brick and a big U-shaped bar. They also serve a pretty large cheese and charcuterie selection, along with oysters. This place works for a casual date or Happy Hour, which goes till 8pm." - Matt Tervooren

The staff is super nice and the drinks are made well. We only went once and I think we'll head back, but for now it seems as good as any other bar. However, I see potential considering how the staff is engaging and welcoming.

Cocktails at ‘Wolf &Deer’ are delicious, unique, and whimsical (each one is named after a storybook). The staff is warm and super knowledgeable (craftsman level)!! Carlos and Anita are great hosts (give them lots of tips)!! The food is great too! It’s the “total package”! A pleasant, unpretentious, neighborhood cocktail bar with great food!! 💖👍👌

Very unique cocktail names and I love the way they make the menus out of books! I really wanted to try the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, but they were out of an ingredient. 🙁 Tried the Wonka's Fizzy Lifting Drink instead and it's perfect for hot summer days. Worth checking this place out for a great cocktail!

Great wine list (and they are happy to let you give one a try before you pick). Menu comes in an old book. Popular to pop into before a show at Barclays. Once the show starts (or on an off night) it clears out and has much chiller vibes. Deviled eggs are popular here (tbh you'll get a whiff when you walk in!). Bottom line, check the Barclays schedule before you come and you'll have an enjoyable experience.

I've been once and the bartenders treated me as if I was a regular. The draft list is small but they are quality beers. The cocktail I ordered was very well crafted, a nice twist on a last word. Nice selection of bourbons and a great happy hour. Because of the location they will get busy for Barclays' events so plan accordingly.

Nice space but can get crowded since it’s not huge! Went on a Tuesday when the drink special until 8pm was a punch for $7. The bartender customised it based on flavours you like which was really nice. The first pineapple flavoured one I got was delicious, the second where I asked for something different was more medicinal so not my jam but I guess I wasn’t specific so I can’t complain.

Love coming here for cocktails or wine and a snack during happy hour. The bartenders are top notch, very friendly, and know their stuff. Steven and Fonz are amazing and hilarious. Cute date night spot with good music/ambiance!

I love this place, I love books and their menu of drinks is inside of a hard cover book! An actual book! Also, it doesn't smell like a bar at all. The drinks are well done, the staff is friendly and professional. It is more upscale than your regular tavern! You can actually still have a conversation without having to scream over the music! Good crowd!
