Wolfgang's Steakhouse

Loved the vibe here! It's spacious and feels like a high-end food hall and the service is some of the friendliest I’ve encountered lately. The Hits: The Bolognese (huge portion!) and those crispy fries. The Misses: The Caesar salad was a letdown—way too much dressing and a pasty texture. The Grana Padano they grate over the salad is world-class. The shrimp cocktail was just "okay."

Wolfgang’s was one of the finest steakhouse meals I’ve ever had. The bacon was a standout; crispy, perfectly seasoned, and incredibly flavorful. The Porterhouse was equally impressive, succulent and juicy, with a melt-in-your-mouth texture. We enjoyed a bottle of Caymus wine, which had a rich, fruity character that paired beautifully with the steak. The service was also top-notch, with a friendly staff that elevated the experience. I highly recommend visiting for a dinner!

Extremely delicious steak! You can taste the quality. Obviously has similarities to Peter Lugers. I was very impressed with the char, softness and flavor of the steak. We had steak for six for five people. The German potatoes and creamed spinach are excellent. Can't go wrong here.

I went for the first time last night. And let me tell you that this beat all of my expectations. The ambiance is very grown and sexy, the decor is nice. But the food was phenomenal!! We ordered oysters, lobster soup, mozzarella and tomatoes, porter house steak, filet mignon, cream spinach, potatoes, and lobster Mac and cheese. For dessert we had a little bit of everything. The steak was seasoned so well, it was the best steak I have had in a long time. Everything was amazing! Alfred was our waiter and he was so attentive, and patient in answering all of our questions, we felt so comfortable with him and at home. Will definitely be coming back!

Agreed with others that service should be much more improved for a restaurant in this price range. Steak plate was served with the liquid butter spilling onto the table. We had to almost argue with the waiter for more liquid butter. The restaurant wasn't even packed during our seating time - "The restaurant had 400+ customers today and servers are tired" is not an excuse. Portions and foods were good (steak came a bit burnt despite asking for medium rare) - some servers are good; some just don't know how to do restaurant customer service.

Experience and meal certainly did not live up to the price and name. Ordered the porterhouse and while decent, could not compare to competitors’ within the price range (Empire Steakhouse etc.). Tuna and fillet mignon was decent and portions were good. Service, however, needs to be greatly improved, especially for a steakhouse at this price point. Bread was served cold and when asked, the server simply dismissed it. Plates were thrown on to the table, no explanation of the sauces/dishes were given and the server felt unhappy to serve our table in general. Automatic 20% tip was still included in the bill but we did not agree to it given the lacklustre service. Gentleman at the front of house however was cheery, helpful and welcoming.

Wolfgang delivers exactly what you expect from a classic steakhouse. The steaks were cooked perfectly, the staff was friendly and attentive throughout the meal, and the wine selection was solid. A great spot for a quality steak and a classic steakhouse experience.

Black patrons beware. Way better steakhouses in the city. I dined at Wolfgang’s this past Saturday night to celebrate my birthday. What should have been a special evening turned into one of the most disappointing dining experiences I have ever had. We were seated at 8:45 p.m., and from the very beginning, the service felt rushed and inattentive. I ordered my steak medium, yet it arrived clearly medium rare. While I understand that mistakes can happen, our waiter never once came back to the table to ask how everything was or check on our meals. There was no opportunity to even address the issue. As the night continued, the experience only worsened. When we attempted to order another round of drinks, we were instead brought the check. We clarified that we wanted another round and placed the order. I stepped away briefly to use the restroom, and when I returned, all of our drinks had been cleared from the table — the very drinks we had just ordered. At that point, our original waiter had already left, and we struggled to get anyone’s attention. We were repeatedly ignored. I eventually had to get up myself to speak with a manager. Instead of listening, he argued with me and insisted that our drinks were finished despite the fact that we had just ordered them. Only after continued back-and-forth was I given another shot — without so much as an apology. Throughout the evening, no one acknowledged that we were celebrating my birthday. The staff was dismissive and rude, and I was made to feel unwelcome. I have worked in the service industry for over 10 years, and I would never treat a guest the way we were treated that night. I cannot help but question whether the treatment we received had anything to do with the color of my skin. The way we were ignored, rushed out, and argued with left me feeling disrespected and deeply uncomfortable — especially on my birthday. This experience left me feeling embarrassed and upset. Not every space is made to make Black people feel welcome.

This place is amazing. Food is always on point and service is impeccable!! Ambiance a bit loud at times, but food and service make up for it. Highly recommend!!

WOW, WOW, WOW! That food was so good still thinking about it and it's been more than 48 hours since eating there. Our whole IT department was in town which is a rarity so boss to the time to take us out and chose this place and oh man, it did not disappoint. Besides the beautiful and elegant background plus the exceptional wait staff there who were friendly, kind and very engaging - the food hit it out the park. For starters we had the tuna tartar (not a fan of raw fish like that) which the others enjoyed. Then came out the Canadian bacon - explosion of flavor in one's mouth. Moist, soft, right amount of salt on it, beautifully seared on the outside and tender on the inside. I could've just eaten that all night. Then boss ordered porterhouses for the whole table - OMG! The chef is a wizard for how magical it tasted in my mouth. The plate came out sizzling which is always a good sign. The porterhouse was gorgeously cooked on the inside and when asked for medium, it was medium and tender and juicy. I tasted garlic and butter and something sweet that made the steak even more delicious. Even though I was getting full, I kept eating not knowing when would be the next time I'd be back. The sides were good - spinach, asparagus, German potatoes but I kept going back to the steak. Like really WOW! Although the final price was crazy but it was well worth it if done at least once or twice in a lifetime. Delicious place to go to. Highly recommended times 100.

Wolfgang's does not disappoint when you're in the mood for a thick, juicy steak. My favorite cut is the bone-in ribeye cooked medium rare. Wolfgang's has perfected the char on the ribeye, giving the steak a flavorful crispy crust and a perfectly tender center. The steak is pretty sizable and could easily be two meals worth of meat. I like to pair the steak with mashed potatoes for an incredibly delicious meal. The service is always very attentive and professional. The restaurant gives a classic white table cloth steakhouse vibe with dim lighting. A steak and a side will likely run you over $100, but you can bring half of your meal home with you to enjoy another night.

What a great time! Seriously one of my favorite steak houses in lower Manhattan. This one had so much charm old school values. Filet mignon asparagus, mash and Mac and cheese. The staff are very attentive and friendly. The wine cellar is phenomenal.

Loved the seafood appetizer plate. Oysters and shrimps were amazing. Ambiance - Wolfgang's Steakhouse in NYC boasts a classic, upscale ambiance with dark wood furnishings, soft lighting, and a warm, inviting atmosphere. Service - They were attentive and accommodating. I enjoy coming to this Wolfgang location bc it's a more ~casual~ steakhouse! People are watching the sports games, enjoying a good time. Portion sizes are smaller but is reflective in the prices not being so competitive (with more upscale steakhouses or peters!)

My boyfriend and I's favorite steakhouse: we get the ribeye with the German potatoes and mushrooms SO GOOD and we always have leftovers. Service is always fast and friendly!

Wolfgang's is consistent and delicious. When you order medium rare, guess what? It's medium rare. We ordered the bacon and wedge salad to start. The house steak sauce actually goes amazingly with the bacon. And the wedge salad comes with blue cheese on the side, which also goes quite well with the bacon. For the steak, we shared the Cajun bone-in Tomahawk. Perfectly cooked and amazingly crusted. The service was attentive without being pushy. The timing of the food was well spaced out. I would only add that the hostesses could be friendlier. Overall, I'd recommend coming to Wolfgang's if you're looking for a good steak.

First, I need to just say WOW. The absolute best steak I have ever had. Myself and 2 friends went to celebrate our July Birthdays. We started with a couple of cocktails which were great. Appetizers were one piece of thick cut bacon, 1/2 dozen oysters and fresh tomato and mozzarella. The bacon, which they cut into thirds, was incredible. Nice crisp on outside, juicy on inside with the perfect amount of fat. Oysters were super fresh and clean. The mozzarella was perfect consistency and tomato's were sweet. Porterhouse for 3 was cooked rare, as ordered. It was rare throughout with a nice char on the outside. The oil they use to cook on the plate was spectacular. We all dipped the pieces into it. Sides were creamed spinach, which was a vibrant green and delicious, German potatoes, crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside, and lobster Mac and cheese which had huge chunks of lobster. Dessert was tartufo, which I never order and it was delicious, and pecan pie. Both came with home made whipped cream, or shlag. It was super thick and cut the sweetness. The service was attentive without hovering and the room is beautiful. I can't wait for another special occasion or for me to get a job where I can afford to go every week.

Very boring unimpressive, decor, food, and service. The waiters have personalities of Yesterdays oatmeal. I had a Zinfandel by the glass that wasn't very good. I ordered the filet mignon, which was cooked perfectly with peppercorn sauce but unfortunately, not that tasty. Rather have them just cook a steak plain and request administration have sauces on the side. Even the mashed potatoes and broccoli were just average. For the money I block down the street American cut is a much better choice.

We were really looking forward to trying Wolfgang's Steakhouse given the hype and complete lack of locations in CA. We opted for this Tribeca location because it was just a short train ride and walk away from our hotel. When we arrived, there were 3 hostesses at the front of the house who made no effort to greet us. One them of them proceeded to walk us to our table when I mentioned my reservation, plopped our menus down on our table and walked off without a word. I had made a reservation very early in advance, but given how empty the establishment was at 5:30pm, a reservation was not at all necessary for early dinner seatings. Our waiter for the evening unfortunately was not a whole lot better. Extremely monotone and unenergetic, we had asked him for his recommendation and was only told that everything was good. As usual, our eyes were a lot bigger than our collective stomachs. So, when me and my petite wife asked if our order would be too much food for the both of us, as we did not want to take leftovers back to our hotel room, we were a bit dismayed when it turned out to be too much food despite the waiter's dismissive suggestion that it should be ok. For our dinner, we ordered the following: 1) Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail: At $29.95 for 4 shrimps, there's no denying that this dish is pricey. But the shrimps are HUGE, and very refreshing with their cocktail sauce. Highly recommend trying this one if you have not yet. 2) NY Sirloin Steak: This is actually pretty huge, and can be shared between two people. Do NOT make the mistake we did of each ordering one. It was actually served by a different waiter on a sizzling plate, whom had a great presentation when cutting and proportioning out the delicious slab of meat. The steak was well seared on the outside with a slight crunch, but was perfectly cooked to a medium rare on the inside, retaining all of its juicy goodness. As a side note, this same waiter came by to check on us a few times when our main waiter appeared to be taking a break, and was SO much more friendly and personable. We genuinely would have had a much better overall experience had he been our main waiter. 3) Brussel Sprouts: Good but nothing memorable. About the same quality I would expect from any other restaurant. 4) Baked Potato: This baked potato is pretty big, and I recommend sharing between two people. Comes with a side of sour cream and butter. Baked well, and pretty delicious. Given the fame and prestige of this chain, I honestly expected a higher level of service. Food was good, but I definitely will be going to a different location if I decide to try Wolfgangs Steakhouse again on my next NYC trip.

Lived right down the street so it was convenient but nothing was very impressive unfortunately. I wish it had some kind of neighborhood charm like other places in the neighborhood but it lacked personality. I'd rather walk a couple more blocks for a better steak and experience.

Came here tonight for a pharmacy dinner. The night started with bread and butter. Then they served a caesar salad with bacon. We got the porterhouse steak. And the night ended with a dessert platter. I love trying steak houses I haven't been to in nyc, brooklyn, and long island. The porterhouse came out sizzling and the entire room stopped listening to the speaker. Even the speaker stopped to comment how amazing it smelled. As far as taste goes, it was salted to perfection and cooked just right. I'm so glad I finally had the chance to try Wolfgang's!

$80 NY strip steak at midtown 54st location was like cold rubber, no flavor, couldn't cut it, couldn't chew it. Very disappointed and the place had no atmosphere, decoration, no vibe, like a bus station, which is why on a Saturday night the place was empty. waste of time and money, stay away

This location has the rudest hosts. The blond girl and the brunett girl (who worked evening shift on 2/15 in case the owners care about their yelp reviews) were the rudest hosts I have ever encountered at restaurant. My friend and I made reservation for 8pm and we proceeded to wait 30 minutes to be seated. There was another couple that came 20 minutes later than us that also had the 8pm reservation and the hosts seated them first. We asked why and the host stated that they had reservation for 8, but we told them we also did. They proceeded to argue with us that they were gonna seat us next and it's going to be the same thing why does it matter in the rudest way and kept loudly arguing with us. It made the whole dining experience terrible. Number one, they should not have seated the other couple first if we were waiting 20 minutes longer than them. We felt like this may be racism because we were Asian and the other couple was white. We were seated in the most corner table by the bar right behind the hosts with no table room nor leg room. Secondly If they made a mistake they need to apologize not argue with their guests, who trained them? Obviously there was no management here but they need to really evaluate their hosts when they are the face of the restaurant.

Came here for team dinner during a work conference. Everyone at the table got the classic porter steak and they loved it. I was impressed by the looks - but I didn't try it. We ordered the steak for 5 people but the serving size was enough to feed 6-7 people. For appetizers and side dishes we also got: 1. Crab cakes (highly recommend) 2. Bacon 3. Asparagus 4. Spinach I had the Chilean sea bass as my entree. It was a huge piece!! I could not finish and took most of it to go. The fish is so tender and juicy, probably the most sea bass I've had. Everything was delicious you really can't go wrong here. The crab cake was so good it was mostly crabs and not fillings. I also love the malbec I had here - it was the Alta Vista Estate 2020. For desserts we had: 1. Cream brûlée 2. Chocolate mousse cake 3. Cheesecake Chocolate cheese cake was the best out of all 3. The other desserts were okay, nothing spectacular. The cheesecake was actually mediocre compared to other cheesecakes I've had. Would suggest making a reservation as this place can get really crowded even during the weekday,

Regular visitor to steakhouses and we came here for dinner~ It did not fall short. The asparagus and steaks were to die for and dessert was spot on. The porterhouse was cooked perfectly~

Wolfgang o wolfgang, where art thou? This location seems to (I hope) fallen off the famous chefs priority in terms of checking consistency of service and food. A party of four on a Saturday night to celebrate my friend's birthday. My friends ordered crab cake, bacon, ceasar salad, creamed spinach, potatoes, and brussel sprouts to share. The crab cake, bacon, brussel sprouts, and German potatoes met expectations im terms of taste, portion, and value. The creamed spinach was salty. I ordered a Wolfgangs salad as my main, hoping it would be as good as a salad I had recently at Cut (by Wolfgang, a few blocks away). Unfortunately it wasn't. It had bits of lobster, bacon, marinated tomatoes (cut inconsistently in size), and strong raw onions which overwhelmed the dish. It was all served on three layers of iceberg lettuce. Small dices of red onion, and butter lettuce would have helped. Also bread and butter was cold, and my friend's lambchops were not Frenched. That was not expected for the price paid.

If I could give this place negative stars I would. My husband and I are visiting ny from LA and out of all the amazing restaurant in nyc we decided to come here as the one we enjoyed in la closed down. We came on time, checked in with the host and shared that we didn't mind waiting at the bar as the rest of the party arrived..which was only a few minutes later. The host then led us to a corner table next to the bar....our entire party felt this was really strange as every other group was led to the main dining room...I expressed to the host that we felt some type of racism towards us as we are a party of Asian diners.... Soon the manager I believe came and very rudely said I have a table in the main room but I need to know NOW if u want it....we said yes that would be great... to our dismay the table in the main dining room was a a table for four that they squeezed our party of 5 into. Rather than cause anymore issues we just stayed and wanted to enjoy the food. But that wasn't the case...I heard them rudely talking to each other about us asking to be moved, which then I assume explained the staffs bad service towards us the rest of the evening... Our meal at Wolfgang was a very negative dining experience from curt responses to our questions, rude and unprofessional behavior, and overall negative dining atmosphere caused by the host, to the waitstaff, to the manager. Do not go here. I'm sure NYC has many better steakhouses with staff who will address your dining concerns without making you feel like you just wasted hundreds of dollars while having to deal with their bad attitudes the entire night.

The lobster was the chewiest toughest most disgusting thing I've ever experienced, at $165 you'd think they'd know how to prepare a steamed lobster correctly. I'll be thinking about this meal for the rest of my life, for all the wrong reasons

A professor once told me that none of my photographs should be supplementary material; each photo should be strong enough to stand alone. I believe the same is true at a restaurant, for each dish being served. The bread was cold and stiff, and the butter was unspreadable. I find it extremely saddening when a restaurant can justify beginning guests' meals with disappointing bread. The bread should never be supplementary material, especially since it's a first impression. The steak was fine but chewy and lacking flavor. I wish I had enjoyed the meal more.

Here's what you need to know: mediocre steaks (charred crust style), sub par service, basic wine list (but reasonable markups on bottles) and of course overpriced. The German potatoes and the peppercorn sauce were excellent. Saved the meal. I can't imagine how this restaurant is competitive where they are so many better steak options in the city. The service is just sub par - from the host station to the bar to the servers. Surface level rushed interactions without any care or warmth to make for good suggestions or a good dining experience. We ordered a salad, an appetizer (thick cut bacon aka pork belly which they called Canadian bacon which is just wrong since it's not cut from the back and is fact the belly - therefore cannot be Canadian style cut), cocktails, pair of their "finest" steaks - ribeye and filet, a nice bottle of Rutherford Napa wine (2016 vintage so stellar year for Napa), German potatoes side, crème brûlée dessert, and coffee. Bacon was enjoyable but unmemorable and served naked and unceremoniously on a diner style plate (B+) Wedge salad - dressings were sub par but lettuce was fresh. More pork belly on the side which was ok (B) Ribeye was super chewy and full of sinew and very under seasoned. Thankfully cooked to the right doneness level (B-) Filet mignon was better than the ribeye and cooked right, but under seasoned and didn't have great texture that would be expected from a good filet/center cut tenderloin. However the peppercorn sauce with that was just awesome!!! (B+) German potatoes. Yes yes yes. Crunchy and charred on the outside, soft and brilliant on the inside and simply perfect seasoning. (A++) Crème brûlée (B) ruler crust was too hard and thick and therefore the dessert was overly sweet; very plain tasting custard Service was unhelpful and generally indifferent (C-). If we asked for any recommendations at all; they literally selected the most expensive dish in that category. It was a comical display of inelegant and corny display of bill increasing behavior. We spend $450 for 2 persons

First and foremost, the waitstaff here are impeccable. Always at the ready, prompt to the table with drinks, plates arranged, everyone works together, a team to be proud of for sure. Tuna tartare to start, fresh and light appetizer, solid. Porterhouse for two - medium rare, expertly cut and served, still sizzling as it's brought to the table. German potatoes and creamed spinach came recommended, so those we're our sides - both solid additions- (I made potatoes and eggs the next day with the leftovers - phenomenal) for dessert - hot fudge sundae with the homemade Schlag (whip cream at its finest!) and a beautiful view as the sun goes down completed the evening.

The food was great and the staff were nice and my daughter enjoyed them singing happy birthday to her.

I came here to attend a corporate retirement party on a Wednesday night. and we had a private room with about 20 people in the party. My view will be slightly different than If I was just out for dinner on my own. The restaurant is located about a block from the Hudson River in Tribeca not far from Tribeca Grill which is owned by Robert Dinero. The owner Wolfgang Puck learned his craft while working as a waiter at the world famous Peter Luger Steakhouse. I enjoyed this restaurant much more than Peter Lugers. If you can look past the dated decor which has its charm and warmth I think you will have an awesome experience. If you have to think about price this is not the place to go. You come here for the quality of food and service. There's plenty of room, it's well staffed, everyone I spoke with was very courteous, they have a vast wine collection, the bathrooms were spotless and kept in the condition throughout the evening. We started at the bar which. An serve almost anything, the bartenders were nice, served up some hand made potato chips and by 6 pm was busy. We moved on to our private room where we were greeted by the head waiter Moshe who made the night an "experience". We were all treated like royalty and I felt extremely welcomed. There were several waiters standing by at the ready all night. You did not have to look for one if you needed something. We consumed a lot of alcohol. We ordered an Imperial of Artemis 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon which is the equivalent of 8 bottles of wine or two double magnums!! We finished that and several bottles of white wines and two rounds of kamikazes after desert as well. Lol! See attached photos. No worries everyone got home safe. Everything was served family style. We started with our appetizer which consisted of large prawns, extremely fresh lump crabmeat and lobster. We also had fresh mozzarella, tomatoes and Canadian Bacon. You could not ask for better quality or larger portions. The food was endless. For our main course selection we had the Porterhouse steak, tuna steak, sea bass, and salmon. The sides were asparagus, mushrooms, potatoes, creamed spinach. Again, everything was top notch and the portions were large. For desert we dad coffees, teas, cheesecake, tiramisu, and the key lime pie. I would highly recommend this restaurant, it checked all the boxes. It was truly a night I will remember and left an impression with everyone who attended. Just don't think about the price and you will have a great time.

Typical NY Steakhouse - can't go wrong with the Porterhouse. Always order the Canadian bacon, so delicious. House salad was a bit overdressed. The german potatoes and creamed spinach sides were overly salty this time. Mashed potatoes were great. The chilean sea bass is also a delicious option if you can't eat meat.

Excellent!!!! 3rd time eating here. Had dinner last night there for the celebration of my son getting engaged. There were 8 of us eating. Everything was cooked & seasoned to perfection!!!! And the staff as always were fantastic!!!! I'd recommend anything on their menu!!!! Thank You guys for making a very special night for all of us, even more wonderful!!!!sorry no pics, we enjoyed all of the food so very much , we ate it so fast!!! Next time we'll post pics!!

I recently visited Wolfgang's Steakhouse for a friend's birthday celebration. In terms of tiers, I have pretty high expectations if you're going to drop a about $75+ a person at a restaurant. I've been to enough steakhouses to expect certain things, and unfortunately Wolfgang's did not live up to my expectations. I arrived before all my friends, so I had a drink at the bar. The space is very nice, with a wide, comfortable layout. The wood used in the construction of the space gives it a classic feel but some of the other touches like exposed brick and dark colors give it a more "restored classic" touch. The space itself is really nice and gets no complaints from me. I hung out at the bar and ordered an Old Fashioned. The drink itself was definitely loaded up with alcohol. I could taste and feel it (granted, I drank it on an empty stomach). However, it came with...chip ice. I mean...just no. I would expect this if this were some mid-tier gastropub. But no, this is supposed to be a higher end Steakhouse. They should have the "Big Cubes" and the drink quickly became diluted as the chip ice melted fast. Very sad. Eventually we sat down for our meal. Service was good at the start and I give credit where it's due. The staff did the whole singing "Happy Birthday" thing for her and they really tried to be nice, but unfortunately once all our food arrived they kind of forgot about us for a bit. No checking on drink refills, no making sure everything was okay. It was odd to say the least. I did notice unlike other restaurants of this type they did not clean the table between serving apps and the main course. This isn't a "must have". It just surprised me a steakhouse of this tier did not do that. As for the food, it again disappointed. We were given a bread basket of cold bread and rock hard, tear your bread apart as you try to spread it, butter. Again, if this were a gastropub or diner, sure, I get it. But this is supposed to be a premium experience. The steak I had was...okay. Like a solid B+ but I was really hoping for an A-. It was cooked *slightly* over Medium Rare and the seasonings could have been better. The creamed spinach was AWFUL. I rarely use that word in my reviews, but it was SO salty I had a couple bites and couldn't take anymore. The Brussel Sprouts were good and the Crab Cake was nice (but nothing special). One final note (that I confess may totally just be me): I was surprised by the bathrooms. They were clean and everything was functional. However, two sinks shared one soap dispenser, which seems odd to me. Also, their hand towels were not those disposable cloth-ish type ones that most steakhouses and fine restaurants have. Instead they were just plain paper like you'd get at a less expensive eatery. Again, nothing is "wrong" with this per se, but given the cost of the meal and the pedigree of the restaurant these were surprising details. I'm glad I tried Wolfgang's but I really feel no strong compunction to return. Caveat Emptor, folks.

My first time here and we ordered the jumbo shrimp cocktail and the porterhouse steak sides mashed potatoes and spinach. Everything were just perfect and I liked the vibe there with lot of people having great time and great food! Services are also great which is out of my surprise!

Food and ambience were great, definitely hits the mark in terms of what you get for the price. Nothing ambitious or super exciting on the menu (eg tomahawk, wagyu, caviar etc) but still a great selection. We got the shrimp, porterhouse, and a few other things, we were satisfied with all items. I think the hostess/ staff could have been more attentive, no one thanked us as we left (granted, I have noticed this at some other steakhouses in NYC as well, maybe it's a regional issue). I definitely think this steakhouse stacks up against the other big names in NY (Keens Peter Luger etc).

This place has the most offensive service it's actually insane. We walked in at 8:30pm on a Friday. There were 3 women standing at the checkin desk. Not a single one could pickup their head to acknowledge us. We walked to the bar, sat down got the exact same treatment from the bar. I've been to every Wolfgang's in NYC and never had a bad experience. This one is a terrible impression on the brand. The servers saw what terrible treatment we received and really tried to compensate. But honestly the experience was already ruined. I will never return.

I came here with my parents as they wanted a steak dinner. The three of us ordered the steak for two, mashed potatoes, and spinach. All were delicious, and I'm not a steak person. Also, we only finished half of the steak and 2/3's of the sides so they give you plenty of food. Note: there were a lot of families with babies and children in case you want a nice meal with the whole family. We're still dreaming about that steak!

My party of 5 was early, the lady at the front was extremely rude. Even if I was off with stating the time, she rolled her eyes at me! She had to get another person to help her, and she was not hospitable either. She asked if we were just getting drinks or if we were going to order food. She wanted us to wait at the bar until our last person arrived, which is understandable. However, there was a company gathering and perhaps it was overwhelming for them, but they weren't even going to get served dinner yet but gave us the cold shoulder anyway. We decided to step away from the restaurant. The two ladies decided to talk about us in an Eastern European language, gesturing at our party as we exited. When we came back to our reservation, we had to justify why we had to get a table 20 minutes earlier than the set time before they would show us to our table. The waiter was nice at first and got extremely pushy. He gave us our water, and said he'd give time for drinks. He only gave the wine list and not any other drink menu and returned twice with the menu. Before we can even take a look at the drink menu, whipped out his pad and he said "ok we good to go?" For our order. He took orders, but he didn't even wait for some people to finish ordering what we wanted and went to another person. The food was good, but I've had better dry aged steak for less. You would think that they would sharpen their knives a little to cut a thick slice of steak. I struggled a bit and I ordered medium rare. The sides were good, and enough to share between 2 people. The creamed spinach was not creamy? Buttery, yes, but not really creamy. We were almost done eating, they started to take away things from our table and even an unfinished cocktail. We didn't have more than 10 minutes to ourselves to talk. One of the waiters said one person going to use the restroom that we had to leave because they needed the table. There was a vacant table behind us and next to us for the same amount of people. Also, the bathroom? Please get more than one soap dispenser and fix the stalls. For a so called classy restaurant like this, they used duct tape to fix a door. I will not go back to this restaurant especially with such rude service. The food isn't enough to bring me back for another try. Hopefully, they get a clue or two on what to improve on hospitality. Ridiculous.

A great steakhouse. Excellent food, service and ambience. Competitive pricing but highest quality. My go to restaurant.

Loved this location of wolfgangs. The restaurant had a great old school vibe. Beautifully decorated. Service was excellent and attentive. We had reservations for 7:30 on a Saturday and never felt rushed during our meal. We even had the great luck of meeting Wolfgang himself. He was just roaming around, greeting customers and was more than happy to take pictures. As for the food, superb. We started with the bacon and iceberg wedge. The bacon was thick, juicy. Well cured. The iceberg lettuce came with plenty of chunks of bacon. Their blue cheese dressing which was extra was completely worth it. So aromatic with that great tangy flavor. The readily split it for you if you plan to share. We shared porterhouse for three as there were three of us. So gooooood. Beautifully executed, cooked to our preferred temperature. Excellent. I've been to a Wolfgangs in midtown but I definitely prefer this one. Great vibe!

In a word, disappointed.  I'm a fan of Wolfgang's having dined repeatedly at the Park Avenue and Times Square locations.  This was my first post-pandemic visit and it was disappointing.  Why? - The menu seemed narrowed.  You basically have two steaks you can order -- ribeye or filet, both huge, no small portion options, no other cuts, no sauces or rubs/crusts, even a pretty limited set of sides. - The place was noisy as heck.  They seemed to go out of their way to replicate the horrific volume in the Park Avenue location with a rounded, tiled ceiling.  Pretty to look at.  Bad acoustics. - The waiter was great until two, like 10-12 person, tables showed up which took all his attention and generated a huge amount of noise. Covid-wise was not impressive.  They had little plastic shields and that was it.  No vax check, no reduced seating density, no limit on party sizes -- basically none of the stuff that I'd seen regularly done in Hawaii (at Ruth Chris's) a few weeks earlier.  Plus it's pure indoor and doesn't seem well ventilated. Definitely won't be back during the pandemic; probably won't be back thereafter either.

We're from Texas but regularly visit NYC. On our most-recent trip this week, we had reservations at Peter Luger Steakhouse. On the recommendation of a friend who lives in the city, we changed the reservation over to Wolfgang's to enjoy a similar menu offering with a more-refined atmosphere. Unfortunately, the experience was incredibly disappointing. The gentleman who took our reservation over the phone was great, and he was present at the front of the house the next day. We were promptly seated at a table upon our arrival, though it was as a small table for two even though there were larger tables available that were used for seating two people. Everything was very crammed, including the plate for the porterhouse steak hanging over the side of the table. The steak was ordered medium but was served medium rare. The strip side was surprisingly tough, though the filet side was properly tender. The flavor was ok, as I knew ahead of time how they're prepared, but it wasn't very remarkable. The biggest issue was our server. Once we were seated, he was ready to immediately take our order. We told him we wanted to look at the menu, so he left. He then returned about a minute later with our drinks and then stood there, not saying a word. We politely told him we still needed time to look over the menu. Once we finally placed our order, he left and we didn't see him for 30 minutes. Other servers brought our appetizer and entree out, but he never once came by to check on us. Dinner service was busy, and he was serving a six-top next to us, of which he was prompt with them (I get it--it was going to be a large bill). There were other times I saw him simply standing at the POS system and chatting with other servers. When our appetizer plates and utensils were cleared, the crumbs and such were left on the table. Though it may seem like a petty thing, our favorite steakhouse in Texas (also an established and refined one) has the servers promptly and regularly clear the crumbs with a small sweeper. Once we were finished with our meal, we were left to sit at the table for a long time, waiting for someone to come by. He finally did after 30 minutes, but we were pretty disappointed by this point that we decided to forego any drinks or desert and asked for the bill. I write this review not to besmirch the establishment but to rather bring attention to management regarding our disappointing experience. We were looking forward to a nice New York steakhouse experience but rather paid $200 to receive subpar and lackluster service.

Let me start by saying before I came here I maybe had steak a couple of times in my life and did not like it. My date convinced to come to try a good steak since it's been years since I last had one. I wanted to order it well-done since I was nervous about seeing and eating pink meat, but he assured me the proper way to eat is medium-rare so I gave in. I was very pleasantly surprised. We ordered steak for 3 but I think only finished enough to be considered for 2, which was way more than I was planning on eating if I'm being honest. Great steak, delicious sides, great service. Also the restaurant was on the quieter side and relaxing which I very much enjoyed. Wouldn't go as far to say I'd come by myself but would definitely come if someone else was craving steak and would order it for myself also.

From start to finish, the food was amazing. Our waiter Sammy was super charming and made our experience all the more memorable.

Upscale steakhouse with what you expect and pay for at this level. Aged flavorful steaks with the shared porterhouse being a specialty. Delicious sides from sauted mushrooms, German potatoes, asparagus, spinach, etc. Fresh seafood towers are a great shareable starter. Impeccable service with knowledgeable servers that were always nearby but never interfering. We were fortunate to have a table at sunset with a great "Manhattan Henge" view toward the Hudson.

Unbelievably bad service I ordered a ribeye steak, medium. Waiter brought the steak and disappeared. Steak was well-done. Waiter never came back to check on me. Ultimately I had to go look for him. When I explained my disappointment, he said he's sorry, but was "busy" I'm done with Wolfgang, life's too short...

What can I say I've eaten here five or six times service is the best steaks are the best they're not bashful on price so if you're looking for a bargain this is not the place for you but if you're looking for a consistent meal from the Canadian bacon to the cream spinach to the onion rolls great wine list again not bashful on price but you have four people waiting on you. If you're looking to oppress out of towners, this is the place to go very consistent.

Nasty service. The hostess pretended like she didn't see our reservation at first. The food was good but they were very snobby and nasty and it ruined the experience. Felt like they were trying to rush us out as well.

wolfgang's is not my top choice of steakhouse but it's still a very solid choice. it's def the classic old school NY steakhouse vibes. i do only go to this location cus i work near by and know that there's parking around here. love the west village / greenwich for that reason xD my favorite thing from wolfgang's is their creamed spinach is that weird? lol i love their sides, the asparagus, mash, mac & cheese. all their sides are great! if anything sometimes over seasoned but very solid. steak although is good i feel like i never really taste the dry aged flavor. i love when dry aged steak has that funk but i don't really taste it here. but that doesn't discredit that they cook their steak very well and that it tastes great. get the sundae!!! so good!!! service is alright. they didn't go above and beyond (not that they have to, but just didn't seem like they cared much lol) but also not bad - still attentive and nice just had better service at other steak houses.

Over priced, over rated, loud and difficult to conduct a business. Waiter poured wine and water while adding 2 of all slides on his own to bump up the already inflated check. Literally one extra of each side was left on table. Tourist trap. Avoid. So many good places in Tribeca.
