The Best Coffee Shops in Phoenix, Arizona | Eater Phoenix

"The newest entry on this list opened in mid-2025 in Ahwatukee, a part of Phoenix tucked along the south side of South Mountain. Created by Lauren Topor, Wonderift sits just off the Warner Elliot Loop and was built with hikers and bikers in mind — a place to grab something before hitting the trails. The space is thoughtfully designed with a black-and-white checkered coffee bar and a small selection of merchandise and local goods for sale. It’s early days but already Wonderift feels like the shop this part of town has been waiting for. The menu’s still evolving with Arizona-centered specials like elote cold foam and prickly pear teas already popping up, alongside coffee from Provision. Open 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday." - McConnell Quinn

I was recommended to come here during their soft opening and have almost been here every day of the week since then because of how good it is! The banana bread latte is delicious with their syrup they make in house (honestly don’t know who has a better banana bread coffee). Also got to try their agave shakerato and it was phenomenal!!! The barista made the perfect layer of foam and its sweetness is unmatched. The vibes in the shop are totally different and unique to what I’m used to in Ahwatukee. The details and their focus on South Mountain really create a whole new sense of community. They offer a great selection of pastries baked in house from scones to cookies to banana bread (no nuts in this so perfect for allergies too!) and they source their bagels from the local South Phoenix bagel makers Bagelero! Jalapeño cheddar bagel is definitely the go to but they have other flavors that I’m not used to but they’re next level (RPG and chile relleno). Lastly the owners and whole team always have a smile on their face and ready to serve you in the best way possible. Also wonderful music selection and the perfect volume to enjoy. No complaints and will definitely be back!

Stopped in because I stumbled upon them on instagram. The young lady that took my order was patient, kind and didn’t mind making a few drink suggestions so that’s always nice. Ended up getting a delicious jalapeño bagel with cream cheese (portion size is excellent - enough to share for sure) and then I ordered an iced breve and the agave syrup she recommended was delicious. The tasty banana bread and fresh bananas were also handy for my always hungry 2yo. Thank you!

My husband and I were looking for a new coffee place to try out that wasn't too far away. Found this gem! The style inside is so cool. The bathroom was really fun! The service was quick and our drinks/food were tasty. Got the dirty spicy chai which had the perfect sweetness to it with a bit of heat that was like a jalepeno type heat. It was unique and super yummy! They have a garage door front and the side of the building their on is shaded so we enjoyed our coffee outside. Gluten free coffee cake was 10/10! Bagels were large and my husband loved his (jalapeño), my girls loved theirs (plain and blueberry). Don't miss this place!

The banana bread latte was absolutely delicious and the bagel came with a monster amount of cream cheese which I love. Will definitely be coming back! The chairs were also very comfy and the music was helpful for focusing. Good vibes all around.

Stumbled upon this little gem and the green and black teas were outstanding. A quiet place to catch your thoughts or meet with friends. This new Ahwatukee Coffee House is a cozy little relaxing spot with great drinks and atmosphere.

Friendly staff. I had one of their seasonal drinks, it was a strawberry espresso tonic and I really enjoyed it. I also ordered a blueberry bagel but I wasn’t a fan of the bagel.

Wonderift is the newest lil cute coffee shop in the valley, but specifically Ahwatukee. Lauren & Kyle are the sweetest business owners and don’t get me started on those SCONES!!!! They are insane. There are plugs to work, good seating and a great staff. Come by and check them out and if you don’t like espresso tonics, theirs might talk you into it!!!
