Wood & Water - Review - Sherman Oaks - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Wood and Water is a modern, American restaurant on Ventura Blvd., and while it’s a solid place to meet co-worker for some drinks after work, the food is a bit underwhelming. The crispy lobster sliders are a highlight, but when coupled with deep-fried duck egg rolls, mushroom ravioli, and short rib wellington, you’re breathing starts to morph into a slow wheeze. We want to feel like we’re eating dinner at a restaurant, not at a VIP buffet inside a basketball arena." - Brant Cox

Cool, calm, and cozy atmosphere. Bar seating and TVs available but doesn’t detract from those that desire a more intimate experience. Diverse menu. For an appetizer I tried Crispy Lobster Sliders and the Black Squid Ink Calamari. Both were crispy and flavorful. For my entree I had the Oven Roasted Seafood. It was packed with flavor (muscles, shrimp, calamari, garlic noodles, tomato base), was a bit on the salty side but had a decent spice level. My friend tried the Pork Chop which could have used more flavor 🤷🏽‍♀️. Mashed potatoes were cool. When I return, I’m definitely getting the sliders!

From the beginning, the hostess was very kind and attentive. The food was amazing. My husband isn't a fan of key lime pie but it was recommended by our waiter and we loved it!

Wood and Water in Sherman Oaks is an upscale American restaurant. They serve gourmet food at gourmet prices. If you can afford the price, this place is worth a visit. There's a bit of street parking, but you're likely to need the valet parking out front. When the restaurant is busy, which it was when I had dinner there, you'll need a reservation in order to get a table. It's also quite noisy inside. Fortunately for me, I have a noisy environment setting on my hearing aid app. Once I turned on that setting, it made the background noise less annoying. Our server was attentive without being overbearing, and he was efficient. The food was beautifully presented and delicious. I had a cheeseburger. You might think that doesn't sound like a gourmet dish, but it was way better than most cheeseburgers. I requested broccolini instead of fries. The broccolini was excellent. My future (I hope) son-in-law had fries. I tasted them. They were better than most fries, but not outstanding. One of the appetizers that we shared was lobster sliders. They were somewhat OK, but not amazing. For the price, I don't recommend them. The restaurant is at street level and has wheelchair accessible tables. If you're in Sherman Oaks and you want a gourmet American meal, Wood & Water is an excellent choice.

We stopped in for happy hour at the bar and were delighted with trays of oysters and a host of small plates to nosh on while enjoying some lovely cocktails. The friendly bartender never let our glasses run dry. We did order off the main menu to get the lobster sliders and the duck egg rolls. A must try (pictured) We will be back.

Been here twice so far ! I always get some oysters and the duck rolls , both make me so happy . Last time I got the halibut tacos and was drooling they were so good however my mom for the chicken and was so so with it however this is a seafood specialty restaurant so she was prepared . I got the banana fosters and was super impressed. It was my birthday and they gave us the coconut pie and it was out of this world. Wish I got a photo but we ate it too fast .

Very nice but pricey restaurant, good atmosphere, nice staff. Food was really good although the lamb was not medium rare as we ordered. It was more like well done. Sea bass was very good and the dark chocolate matcha cake is amazing. I used Google maps to make a reservation and they could not find it which was embarrassing. This is not the first time this happened with different restaurants after reserving on Google maps so be sure to call them directly.

Really disturbed by this place. I went in last Thursday for a drink with a friend and sat at the bar. I hung my purse on one of the hooks underneath the bar and accidentally forgot to grab it on the way out. I called the next day and was told there was no purse found. This was shocking because I am absolutely certain I left the purse there considering I had a phone inside that showed the location at wood and water. The restaurant insists the purse was not there. Funny that a $300 purse with cash and a $2,000 watch in it, plus an iPhone just conveniently went missing into thin air. Well, to make the whole thing 100X worse, that was obviously not true. Someone from the restaurant actually used my cell phone to send messages, personal PHOTOS of me! To a random phone number!! 2 DAYA AFTER I WAS AT THE RESTAURANT!! Insanity. I discovered this because my iCloud account is connected to all of my devices, and I was able to track it LIVE at the restaurant on SATURDAY, April 12th, 2 full days after I left my purse there. How disturbing?? I wrote to the store owner about my experience and had been in contact with the general manager several times. Still they insist that there is no fault , despite my evidence here in the photos. Nothing has been done. I am so disturbed and disappointed in this place and I have filed a police report. Hopefully I can find out who did this.

Yelp
Wow... could not give this place higher praise. First and foremost, we were greeted by our server Chris who was very warm and welcoming. You could tell this guy was a pro, and he was probably the best server I have had in such a long time. He was knowledgable about the food, wine, and drinks and steered us along. The food was incredible. So tasty. We enjoyed everything. House bread, duck breast with mushroom risotto, yellowtail, boar ragu tagliatelle, and scalloped cheddar potatoes. The Chef's know what's up. Perfectly cooked pasta and duck, and flavors that just dance in your mouth. We are looking forward to returning and trying more dishes that looked good but we couldn't fit into our meal. Highly recommend.

Yelp
One of my college roommates now lives close by and she suggested we meet up at Wood & Water to catch up over some outstanding food and strong cocktails. We did that thing, and our dining experience was exceptional from end to end! Tip: I really enjoyed the atmosphere; there's dim lighting and free standing fireplaces - a great place for a date or to reconnect with an old friend:-) Not only is the patio lovely on a warm (or in this case, ridiculous hot) summer night, it also welcomes well behaved four-footed fur babies - my 2 year old pup was in heaven with tons of attention, and a chew-toy to keep her amused while Mom got her cocktails on ;-) Speaking of cocktails, Wood has a full bar and commands the services of several VERY talented mixologists. They not only knew exactly how to make all my old favorites, they even suggested something new along the lines of my first two drinks - good thing neither me nor my pup was driving! Over and above the atmosphere and the cocktails, the food here will positively knock your socks off - everything we tried was wonderful. As if all of the aforementioned isn't enough, they even have valet parking for those evenings when there's simply no street parking to be found regardless of how many times you circle up and back on the Blvd. On, and lest I forget, the service here is totally on point :-) I'd be hard pressed to name any dish we shared that evening that wasn't amazing, but let me specifically mention my favorite dish here so far - the Wild Boar Ragu. The portion size was huge, and they served the dish piping hot; it was so delicious that I simply couldn't stop working on it, even after I was completely full... I haven't had a more enjoyable meal in recent memory. The experience at Wood & Water checks all the boxes - I KNOW I'll be back often!

Yelp
I have dined here a lot of times but never did a review lol. The food here is amazing. I love their homemade Lobster pasta and apple walnut salad. The service is outstanding. Everyone is kind, helpful, and attentive. Nice atmosphere with cool lighting. I love coming here. Reasonable prices and an admirable size menu. Great alcohol drinks. Indoor and outdoor seating. Great place to hang out with friends or to celebrate a special occasion. Note: I forgot the manager's name but the gentleman that's a male black with a bald head was amazing he made sure we had everything we needed and checked on us throughout our dining. Crafted cocktails and music night on certain days.

Yelp
We had to park far away. And the only real reason we went was because I had a gift card. It's very expensive. We split 3 appetizers and a salad for $96! We got the Yellowtail with watermelon, Crab cake(ONE CRAB CAKE!), Duck eggrolls and the Butter lettuce salad. It was all good but expensive for not very much food. They did split the salad for us which was very nice.

Yelp
My friend and I came all the way out here (from West LA & South Bay) to try something different from our usual food scene and we were impressed with nearly everything we ate here. If you asked me what the highlight was, it was THE SAUCE. For everything. The short rib cappelletti was phenomenal (this dish alone deserves 5 stars) and I would buy this sauce if it was sold in a jar. I can't even describe how savory and mouthwatering it was by far the best sauce, we scraped the plate clean. The ricotta ravioli drenched in Thai green curry and corn was so flavorful - that blob of sauce surprisingly went so well altogether, now I'm inspired to make this at home because the ingredients sound so doable. The wild boar ragu with pappardelle was the best ragu I've had outside of Italy, pasta was perfectly al dente and the creamy red sauce was to die for. Now the desserts, we couldn't choose between the chocolate matcha cake and the honey polenta cake, so of course, we went with both. I'm a huge matcha fan and wasn't able to taste any matcha at all nor was feeling the chocolate syrup-like taste and texture glossed on top of the slice, but then I poured the SAUCE (or cream?) that came with it over it and wow, that totally changed it up. Amazing. The honey polenta texture was cornbread-like which was good but a little dry, but then we poured that cake's sauce over it was, boom, texture and flavor-altering. Our server and overall service/reception were very nice and attentive. This place almost got a 5 star rating but I didn't enjoy my earl grey lavender cocktail because the lemon overpowered everything/tasted too much like lemonade and not worth 20 bucks. Food portions could've been a little bigger, we weren't that full until we had the two slices of cake. Overall, its certainly deserving of a 4.5.

Yelp
Good service and cool vibes, with dim lighting and free standing fireplaces. Great date place Prices range from reasonable to pricey (seafood). Lobster Sliders - WOW. Best thing I ate here. Wild Boar with Ragu and Parpadelle - very good but I've had better elsewhere. Good portion. The fried rosemary sprig was an interesting touch. Radicchio and Endive Salad - not a fan of Radicchio so would not recommend Lobster Squid Ink Pasta - I sampled my friend's. Pasta did not taste briny, al dente Fries- great, skinny, freshly shaved Parmesan, 3 dipping sauces Bananas Foster - This was disappointing. The highlight was watching it made before our eyes. Not worth all the butter which I didn't taste (unsalted?), same with the rum, and the presentation was lacking. Needed some crunch for texture but was sizable at least. Women's bathroom was well maintained and I always appreciate a pleasant scented candle. Would come back and get more lobster rolls and fries!

Yelp
What an amazing meal I had with friends! We decided to get all appetizers and I'm so happy we did. There was one downside. I made a reservation for 4pm, got seated right away and then was told the kitchen didn't open until 4:30. We all came hungry and were upset and confused by that. The food was delicious! My favorite was the yellowtail sashimi and grilled octopus. The drinks were also amazing! It is a smaller restaurant with tables inside and outside. The service was good and everything was cooked to perfection. I wanted more and know I will have to come back. It's on Ventura boulevard so there is street metered parking which was easy to find as we came on a Sunday at 4pm.

Yelp
This was my first time here the food was amazing so as the service the manager was very helpful with choosing from the menu, it was a cozy atmosphere light enjoyable conversations I highly recommend this place and will definitely go again

Yelp
We started with the Duck egg rolls and they were tasty! My man ordered the Halibut tacos Yuummy! The Seabass was totally Amazing! I usually can't finish my dish but I ate every bit of this dish! Can't wait to try the King Salmon! Must try this place! Sorry no pics of entrees. I started eating it as soon as I saw it lol!

Yelp
My current fav. Amazing in Every way Food - wonderful. Absolutely. Even happy hour. Just fab!!!! Service ... terrific. From the moment you walk in. Michael at the door is gracious and welcoming. Extraordinary! You don't get this often. It's v old school. I love it. The feeling is nice, calm and relaxed. But casual. It a a cool scene.

Yelp
Pricey, but excellent flavors. Got two different risottos and both were amazing. Their duck was cooked to perfection; honestly never had duck that good and I order a lot of duck at Chinese restaurants. They screwed up my martini at first (tasted like vodka neat) but made it amazing the second time around.

Yelp
This place has been on my list for at least and year and I was finally able to carve out some time to try it. The service was great. As soon as you enter, you're greeted by a warm host and seated almost immediately (I had a reservation). It was my first time and I knew I wanted to try a lot. My server was patient enough to walk me through her recommendations and answer any questions I had. Unfortunately the food didn't live up to my expectations but this is also my personal taste. Nothing was "bad" per se just not what I was looking for. I ordered: Crispy Lobster Sliders Brussels Sprouts Wild Boar Ragu Honey Polenta Cake My favorite was the Wild Boar Ragu. It came out pipping hot and I couldn't stop myself from eating it even after I was full. The Shredded Duck and Scallops was my least favorite. The reduction gave it more like a bbq taste and I wasn't in the mood for that flavor profile. The reduction also killed the scallops in my opinion.

Yelp
Went here per my friend's recommendation. I thought the restaurant had a nice ambiance and I actually really liked the seating arrangement (we sat in a booth, sat on the same side). I ordered the wild boar ragu with a mexican firing squad and my friend ordered the pork chop with a sequel is better. I was not expecting the ragu to be so delicious, the noodles were cooked perfectly with the perfect texture. The sauce was so savory and creamy. The dish was served nice and hot which I love. I didn't try my friend's pork chop but she said she loved it. I wasn't a huge fan of our drinks (I did try hers). I thought they were aesthetically pleasing but flavor was light and underwhelming. The service was great, our server was fast and attentive. Overall, I enjoyed my time here and highly, highly recommend the wild boar ragu :)

Yelp
We got there early for happy hour. We sat at the bar & had two HH margaritas that were FANTASTIC! Food was terrific too! Bartenders are always so friendly!

Yelp
Wood and Water is a great little find in Sherman Oaks. It's a small restaurant and can get a bit loud but the staff is fantastic and the food is creative and wonderful. Four of us visited, getting two appetizers (pictured) and four main courses and all six dishes were unique and delicious. I don't think you can go wrong here, I won't even detail what we got because the seasonal menu will change and I an confident that anyone can come and enjoy whatever stands out to them on the menu. When we came it was almost full and we arrived 45 minutes early, so they sat us at the bar for a few minutes as they figured out if they could fit us in early and were able to do so quickly, which we all really appreciated. Big props to the host staff for being able to accommodate us even though it was our fault we were early.

Yelp
From start to finish our experience was great here! We started off with drinks and decided to try their cocktail "the passion of the spice" but subbed the mezcal for tequila. It was absolutely delicious, tasted really fresh and all natural. For our appetizer we ordered the albacore ceviche and I'm only sad it wasn't a bigger portion. It was so fresh and citrusy; the homemade potato chips were a perfect pairing. Then came the entrees; the toasted duck breast and the shredded duck and seared scallops. The duck on both dishes were so succulent and cooked perfectly. The sides it came with were also delicious. Only note is that both dishes came with a type of fruit reduction; which was delicious but they used a little too much and it was so sweet it overpowered the dish at times. Other than that we enjoyed the food very very much. The service was great and the restaurant was very nice. Great date spot

Yelp
10 across the board from the moment our server came over until he gave us the bill the customer service was amazing. The food did not disappoint, I will definitely will be coming back. We ordered the spicy tuna, cauliflower, yellowtail, Beef Wellington, and for dessert chocolate pot de crème & ricotta cheesecake. The food was very flavorful and came out very quickly!

Yelp
Another night out with friends and always a good time here. Service is great as always. We had an earlier reservation which was nice. Started off at the bar since we arrived a bit earlier and our friends hadn't arrived yet. Bartender that night was amazing. Friendly, sweet and and the cocktails were amazing. Dinner wise, everything that we had order was great. Some shared plates to start off, lobster Mac and cheese. Flavor and a good potion. The truffle fries, which is always a must. Accompanied with three dipping sauce. And the Spanish shrimp in the chili sauce with bread for dipping. That was full of flavors and would definitely order again. Main, the chickpea coconut curry with chicken and served with rice, the ricotta gnocchi, oven roasted seafoods and the deconstructed short rib Wellington. Everything was full of flavor and quite tasty. Cooked to perfection. The seafood dish had a generous amount and the noodle with the sauce was a good combination. Staff wise, great as always. Also they have a great happy hour. Drinks and small plates. As well as oyster which can't be beat.

Yelp
We came here for a social mixer for our organization here and had a over 20 people in our party. The space was nice, service was great and food was delicious! I would definitely come back again.

Yelp
We went to Wood and Water to see Nico perform- and had a wonderful dinner. We sat at a table on the patio, and enjoyed the sidewalk foot traffic. Food was delicious, service was great. Definitely look forward to coming back

Yelp
We just got to LA to visit family and stayed with a relative who suggested we walk over to Wood & Water. He was able to secure a table with his favorite waitress and off we go! This is a really cute restaurant. I do recall walking by it towards the end of lockdown when there used to be parklet dining. It was and still is a popular place. We started with the calamari and my two drinks of the night were You Go Glen Coco and Yuzu Talkin To Me. I prefer my drinks not too sweet so my preference was Yo Go Glen Coco because I like coconut. Then we decided to go with the Halibut special which was really good. I noticed I was quiet during dinner because my senses wanted to remember this moment. I was talked out of the gnocchi because I didn't want anything too heavy and the halibut hit the spot. Of course we couldn't end without dessert, so we opted to share the ricotta cheesecake. I am not a cheesecake fan but I will admit, ricotta makes such a difference because it's not so heavy but still a rich dessert. Definitely worth the splurge. Reservations are recommended. We got there very early so it was no problem for us getting in, but during it's peak, it helps to be prepared.

Yelp
Came for dinner during Dine LA and was not disappointed. Parking was easy, metered street parking or valet available. Service was quick and friendly. Drinks were delicious, I ordered the sequel the better mule. For apps we tried the duo of cauliflower, spicy tuna, and lobster Mac and cheese, the spicy tuna was my favorite and definitely a must try. Entrees we ordered were the ricotta gnocchi, wild boar ragu, and pork chop. All tasty, big portions, and plenty to share. For dessert we opted for the chocolate matcha cake and the honey polenta cake, not my favorites but still good. Interior was dimly lit and was busy for a Friday night, a perfect spot for dinner. I'll definitely be back to try their full menu!

Yelp
I had a wonderful dinner here a couple of weeks ago. The pistachio crusted rack of lamb was outstanding! Our waiter was very nice and attentive. I look forward to going back when I'm back in the area.

Yelp
We just stopped in for a quick drink as we had a reservation elsewhere. They were super packed but were able to squeeze us in for an hour before their assigned reservation came which was totally not a problem for us to be quick. They have a cute patio outside and the inside also was cool with dim and sexy lighting. They were so sweet and kind and super accommodating! They sat us outside on the heated and covered patio which was perfect on a rainy night. Our waiter was very nice and was able to serve us quickly. We ordered espresso martinis which are my go to right now. My friend got a traditional one with vodka, but I made the switch with no simple syrup and sub tequila which they were super great about. The drinks were super delicious and made perfectly. We will definitely be back to try the food next time as the service and drinks were great so that's always a good sign.

Yelp
Lots of street parking and valet isavailable. We sat outside during the evening and it was amazing. The weather was perfect and the ambience was very classy. The service was impeccable and food came out in a timely matter. Very polite staff and very good food. We came during Dine LA so it was a prefix menu, but our group all left very satisfied, full and happy. All around a great restaurant for my first experience here. Will definitely recommend it!

Yelp
The burger that my friend got was delicious and I would come back for it alone. The deconstructed beef, Wellington was OK, but for the price it was nothing fancy and tasted like something that you could make at home, or that came from Erewhon. Like, not homemade but ALMOST? Our server was really knowledgeable and friendly, and she chucked on us twice during the meal. The ambience is really great, and it's perfect for a night with the girls or date night. Definitely a little bit on the fancier side, even though you can dress casual. It's the perfect place to go when you want to go out and look cute and have the restaurant decor match that vibe

Yelp
Just tried the broccolini and pork belly with apple puree. Stupid good absolutely fantastic. Other excellent dishes I tried recently: Short rib tacos - melt in your foogin mouth Ahi tacos - the crunchy wonton shell and ahi are fantastic and the sesame/chili oil/sriracha was great! Short rib deconstructed Wellington: very very very good. Cooked just right. Short rib falls apart on your fork. Spectacular.

Yelp
A quaint, little restaurant in Sherman Oaks. Their menu has a nice selection of different dishes. My wife and I started with the yellowtail watermelon sashimi and toasted pork belly starters. The sashimi was very tasty with a kick. The pork belly had a nice crispy texture. For our entrees, my wife went with the seabass while I chose the halibut tacos. The tacos were light, flavorful, and satisfying without being heavy. We paired our meal with Pinot Noir and had the chocolate Matcha cake for dessert.

Yelp
I give this restaurant 5 stars but be aware of Chris L (server) at Table 11. He added extra drinks on our bill (total $60 more) and blame it on the bartender girls who were amazing to us while we sat at the bar waiting for our table. Anyway, Michael, the host with he mostest, gave us the best booth seating in the whole place. We ordered the lobster sliders, burrata toasts, lobster linguini, and the seabass with rice. Everything we are was top notch! I highly recommend this place. It's a vibe.... casual chic. We are definitely coming back and bringing friends but not sitting at Table 11 or being served again by Chris L. Thank you and Goodnight.

Mark L.

Yelp
Was pleasantly surprised by the decor, as such my only comment which I mentioned to the manager, who was very amiable, was to change the dinnerware from their current lead grey color to more vibrate dinnerware. The presentation, food and service were great! It perfectly set the ambience for the Seal concert we were seeing that night. We had a great evening, so much so we plan on returning for our next date night. Thank you!

Yelp
My husband and I dined at Wood & Water for the first time last night to celebrate our anniversary. Upon entering the gorgeous restaurant we received the warmest, most lovely greeting by the wonderful gentleman at the Host's desk. He wished us Happy Anniversary (we mentioned we were celebrating when we made our online reservation) and presented each of us with a glass of champagne!! Off to an amazing start to our evening! We were then seated in an inviting booth where we met Michael who took care of us for the night. Michael was incredible... he was so friendly and attentive, and just gets it when it comes to service. A++!!! He really knows his stuff with regard to the menu, and described each dish in a way that made us excited to eat! Absolutely exceptional service!! We ended up ordering 2 Mexican Flowering Squad margaritas that were absolutely delicious and perfect in every way. Super fresh ingredients and the perfect balance of flavors. For our starters we ordered the yellow tail and watermelon sashimi... SO delicious and the perfect thing to get our taste buds fired up! We also ordered 1/2 dozen of their West Coast oysters that were outstanding!! We followed those up with their pork belly, beautifully served with a light salad, a delicious purée of some sort and blackberries (I believe). INSANELY delicious!!! We followed that up with the roast beet & heirloom tomato salad... TO DIE FOR!!! At this point my husband and I were wondering HOW every single dish was absolute perfection?? On to our entrees.... I ordered the Deconstructed short rib. I cannot even express in words how incredible this dish was!! I am not exaggerating... I encourage everyone to experience this for themselves. I was shook!! My husband ordered a delicious steak that was perfectly prepared with a glaze that had incredible depth of flavor. Last, but absolutely not least, we HAD to have dessert! We ordered the Chocolate and peanut butter turnovers.... I must tell you, our minds were blown!! This dessert was one for the books! Sooooo incredibly delectable! In addition to that, Michael was so kind and said we HAD to try their toasted coconut cake which was served warm.... We both just sat there eating and shaking our heads in utter disbelief! It was ridiculously delicious!!! Both deserts paired exquisitely with the 20 year Tawny Port dessert wine we ordered. My husband and I are both foodies and have a deep appreciation and respect for the culinary arts and Wood & Water completely blew us away!! MOST respect to the chef who literally made us dance in our seats like children because EVERY dish was beyond perfection and delicious from first bite to the last. WELL DONE & BRAVO, Wood & Water!!!! Thank you for the most enjoyable and memorable dining experience we've had in a very long time. Until next time... Muah!!

Yelp
Wood & Water is an unexpected gem hiding in plain sight. I pass by often but have never tried, and now I'm sorry I haven't. We made reservations on the patio and were greeted by an extremely gracious gentlemen who congratulated us on our special occasion and brought two glasses of champagne. What a great way to start our dinner! We didn't know what to expect, but the menu is intriguing with flavor combinations that surprised us (in a good way). There are some Asian flavor profiles with typically Italian dishes but it all seems to work perfectly, resulting in delicious food. The fresh rolls are a must order as a starter - they come with this perfectly whipped honey butter and a sun dried tomato chimichurri that was equally delicious. The bread was fresh and doughy with the perfect crisp exterior. We also ordered the crispy squash blossoms that were perfectly seasoned and not oily or overwhelming. There were at least 3 other starters that look amazing, including the Burrata toast, but I'd prefer not to leave in a bloated food coma, so we refrained. For entrees we got the sweet corn and ricotta ravioli and the grilled seafood platter. Both were excellent and this is a perfect example of an unexpected flavor profile. The seafood platter was served over ginger and garlic chili yakisoba noodles. It was so flavorful and the seafood was grilled perfectly. Typically you'd see this dish as a paella, ciopinno, or plain grilled seafood dish, so the Asian twist was a nice reinvention. For a side we both split the cauliflower duo, which came tempura battered topped with chimichurri over a cauliflower purée. Once again, all flavor and no oily aftertaste. Wood & Water was a combination of excellent food, great service, and pleasant ambiance. Will definitely be back soon!

Yelp
Really cute restaurant and decorated beautifully for the holiday season. The service was great! Food was great! crispy wok calamari- creative have not had calamari like this previously, it was very delicious, and bright and spicy burrata toast- simply to die for, you can't go wrong with cheese and bread Crispy squash blossoms- once again just simply delicious butter lettuce and shaved apple salad- I don't have fruit in my salad, but the blue cheese was delicious House chop-this might've been my salad Pork chop -was a solid ok! Key lime pie- not too tart, more creamy like. Pot de crème- rich and smooth, We had a group dinner here, I'd come back with a couple people but I was with 15 people. , I wouldn't do it again we were kind of in a claustrophobic corner that was in proximity where we could hear the game on the TV and the fans reactions. Also it was an awkward split between 2 tables so not everyone was able to socialize with each other other.

Yelp
Some friends and I went to Wood and Water for the first time for their happy hour. From the inviting ambiance to the attentive staff, everything was top-notch. The happy hour menu offered an array of drinks and bites that were so delicious, we wanted more- from the grilled cheese to the short rib taco, each dish was a delight. And those cilantro tater tots? Pure perfection. Oh and I can't forget the Burrata on toast- from the regular menu! Absolutely delicious... scrumptious toast, drizzled with balsamic & pesto, fresh burrata and blistered tomatoes, chefs kiss! The cocktails were equally impressive; the vodkamelon was refreshing and delicious. Our server was a gem, checking in and making sure we were having a fantastic time. I'll definitely be back to explore more of their menu. Wood and Water, has definitely won me over!

Yelp
Tried Wood & Water for the first time, and easily made a reservation online the day before. They offer a solid list of cocktails, and quality, fresh seafood items -- ordered the yellowtail with crispy onion from the raw bar menu (sans watermelon), as well as oysters, the house burger, and scalloped potatoes. Overall, everything was pretty tasty and I would definitely recommend the yellowtail and oysters of the things I tried. Would be interested in returning for their happy hour in the future

Yelp
A very nice date night. We will definitely be back Initially we were a bit turned off by the decor -- not really our style -- but we decided to give it a try on a whim. Our waiter, Phil, was a great server. Attentive, personable, gave us solid recommendations. We had a few cocktails. The Manhattan, the don't call me Shirley, and the Mexican Flowering Squad. Manhattan was on point, and the Flowering Squad hit; Shirley wasn't our favorite. Oysters were perfect. We got a few to start. Followed up by the buttery lettuce salad which was a solid salad. For mains, we got the Oven-Roasted Seafood and the Duck & Scallops. The Seafood dish was a kitchen-sink style dish, like a seafood bake. It had a little kick to it and it was nice having several seafood options. The Duck & Scallops dish probably stole the show. There were 3 "towers" with the scallops on top of the duck, both sitting on top of what they call a potato pancake but was more like a potato ball. This dish was fantastic, and such an interesting creation. The only reason I went with a 4 instead of a 5 was because the scallops came out cold. Otherwise this was a banger of a meal. We finished off with the Peanut Butter Turnover. A decent dessert but we'd probably try something else in the future. Looking forward to coming back in the future!

Yelp
Food is delicious. I'm definitely coming back next week. Service was amazing and the place is beautiful. Highly recommend. People would consider this price but it's worth the money.

Yelp
I really struggle with this review because my meal and drink was delicious. I shared two appetizers: crispy lobster sliders and olives and feta, both of which were very good. I had the lobster salad for my entree and it was extremely good. The low rating is based on the food and drink the other two people in my party ordered and an incredibly unpleasant waiter. The service was also very disjointed, although the host and manager were very friendly. The space was not particularly special or inviting. The experience did not rise to the level of a high-end restaurant.

Yelp
My go to local spot! Everything on the menu is delicious. Items from the raw bar are unique and melt in your mouth. Lamb chops are always a hit and the house burger is perfectly cooked always! Highly recommend!

Yelp
Really good food, really cozy decor, really friendly servers, and a terrific bar. Honestly, I think my favorite part of the experience is walking in to the stunning scent of charred wood and vanilla. It's a terrific spot. If you are the kind of person who needs constant white glove attention, you'll be disappointed - they would benefit from having at least two more servers on a busy night - but if you're in for a laid back time, this is your spot. The bruschetta and olives are awesome appetizers, the salads are excellent, and the entrees are solid. Recommended.

Yelp
The restaurant was good. The ambience was great, there were a lot of people, and the service was great. However, there were not a lot of options for vegetarians with regards to larger portions. That being said, the squash blossoms were amazing! Highly recommend, and will likely be back !

Yelp
The host, Michael, was not merely gracious, but went above & beyond. My wife left her glasses in the car and he personally had the valets retrieve them. It just got better from there! We recognized our server, Phil, from another restaurant we used to frequent and he was very attentive. We started with the Rolls, Spicy Tuna and Spanish Shrimp. All three were excellent. For entrées, we had the 24 hour brined Skillet Fried Chicken, which was very good, & the Clam & Bacon Risotto, which was AMAZING! We also enjoyed a very good Old Fashioned, along with an interesting Rose that paired well with the Risotto. Too stuffed for dessert . . . but we may take some home. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
Our bartender Linda was a rockstar. We came in very close to last call and she was super quick and efficient with taking our order. Even though we were a part of a large walk in group (annoying I know and am sorry) she was stellar. The food was amazing; we ordered the wild boar ragu and lobster linguini and both were impeccable. I would absolutely come back!
