13 Places to Try Near Fort Lee, New Jersey | Eater NY

"With terrific banchan like pickled ramps, two kinds of kimchi, and white taro root, Wooga is a no-frills modern Korean barbecue spot with multiple beef often with a few flourishes, like, for example, rosemary atop raw meats and artful presentations before the server prepares a meal. The sauces are unusual, too, as is the giant blue toad mascot sitting near the door on a counter." - Melissa McCart

The Best Korean Barbecue in NYC | Eater NY

"Located in a strip mall in Fort Lee, Wooga is one of those newfangled Korean barbecue places that incorporates lots of American steakhouse cuts into its traditional menu, and a fragrant sprig of rosemary rides atop the steaks as they are brought to the table. The banchan are different, too, including pickled ramps, two kinds of kimchi, and white taro root." - Caroline Shin

It's been a while since I had great Korean BBQ, and Wooga was definitely worth the drive into Jersey. Our server, John, was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. The meats were cooked to perfection right at our table, and I’d gladly come back for round two. If you’re near Fort Lee, definitely stop by for some quality KBBQ.

Love, love, love this restaurant. The food is amazing, every single side dish is flavorful, and their service is excellent. We went early, so there were many servers helping out with the cooking our dish. And the kimchi, OMG ..so so good! We would gladly pay tolls from NY to come and enjoy food here!

I recently visited wooga, and it was an outstanding Korean BBQ experience. The atmosphere was lively, with a modern and clean design that made the space feel welcoming and vibrant. The service was top-notch; the staff was attentive, friendly, and always ready to help with grilling or explaining the dishes. The highlight, of course, was the food. The meat selection was excellent well-marinated, fresh, and flavorful. The galbi (beef short ribs) was particularly delicious. They provided a generous assortment of banchan (side dishes) that were refilled regularly, with favorites like kimchi, pickled radish, and seasoned vegetables adding variety to the meal. I also appreciated the option to cook the meat at the table, making the dining experience interactive and fun. The dipping sauces and the lettuce wraps enhanced the flavors perfectly. Prices were reasonable, especially considering the quality and quantity of food. Overall, wooga delivers an authentic Korean BBQ experience that’s hard to beat. It’s a perfect spot for a casual dinner with friends or a special occasion. I’ll definitely be coming back! Highly recommend!!!

Google
A bustling and lively restaurant offering excellent authentic Korean cuisine. The staff is extremely attentive and responsive to all your requirements. Be sure to try the seasoned beef ribs (kalbi) and pork belly; both dishes are outstanding. While their selection of side dishes is smaller compared to other restaurants, they are still quite delicious. Would highly recommend this Korean BBQ place in Fort Lee N.J.

Google
It’s the best KBBQ in Jersey! Everything is so fresh and delicious. It would be a little bit more expensive than other AYCE KBBQ spot but totally worth it. We always have to drive down there for 1 hour and it’s rewarding afterwards. If paying in cash, you’ll have like 5% discount. Plenty parking next to the restaurant.

Google
Amazing food! Everything was honestly wonderful, super high quality meat compared to the AYCE places nearby. The apps were great also especially the kimchi pancake. It is a little more expensive but I think the meat quality is well worth it We did the 2 orders of the beef for four and pork for four - this is for 8 people and we had so much food!

Google
The place was small but cozy. The cuts and the meat were really nice and taste delicious. The cost a little bit high but I guess if you want to go and have a special time with friends may be worth it. However, since it was people waiting outside for a table our waiter was a little bit anxious so, we pay the bill and leave the table, no time for chitchat at all after eating, in case you want to go in a date or so. Also, when we arrived we had to wait 45 minutes to get a table. I don’t know it this is what always happens at night but I just mentioning so people that want to visit this place are aware that this may happen to them. You can not make a reservation ahead so it is what it is when you arrive there. Overall a nice experience.

Google
The service was excellent and I appreciated how they simplified the menu. The meat was great and I enjoyed many of the sides.

Yelp
This is my time favorite Korean bbq in Fort Lee. The quality of the meat is very consistent and delicious. I love the marinated short ribs and hanger steak the most. The great thing about the menu is that you can choose big or small meal. Y person, and always add on with a-la-carte, so it's very flexible but at the same time I don't need to think about which meat to order. The server is quick, experienced and friendly. I recommend coming at off-meal time to avoid the long wait.
google avatar

Gingere L.

Yelp
We visited in a Sunday at noon. There was no wait time. The food was well grilled by our wait staff. We ordered beef, pork and a variety if vegetabkes. Kids enjoyed it and so were the adults.
google avatar

David T.

Yelp
Great experience and has drive-in parking lot. If you get here after 6 on a weekend, expect a bit of a wait - you get a buzzer to sit in your car with. Favorite of the 3x visits is the large intestine / daechang and pork platters. While beef is as good as any other kbbq spots, the Wooga servers really like to char and crisp every piece of pork belly or jowl to a wonderful degree. The fermented kimchi thrown on the grill is also a nice touch you don't see much at other kbbq spots. Ban chan is good, the soups are tasty, have no complaints from multiple visits.
google avatar

Yelp
One of the best KBBQs in the area. Good portions and great service. Made the 40 minute wait well worthwhile. The staff are so efficient and attentive with refilling the banchan. We will be putting this place in our rotation for sure!

Yelp
I give this a 3.5. We have been before, and I do feel like the quality of the meat is decreasing. Maybe they were having an off day. I would have easily given this place a 5 for our first visit over a year ago. Our second visit earlier this year, a 4-star and when we dined recently, I was let down and would rate this at 3.5 out of 5. Since that's not an option on that, I am rounding up for the good of the restaurant. Starting with the good. It's always quick to get a seat during the week. The team is very attentive to get your orders in and get you fed quickly, which I greatly appreciate. they are also very generous with their sides, and they are really delicious. We also love their cheese and corn appetizer, delicious! For the beef, we split a combo for two, and were disappointed with the New York strip. Was dry, lacked flavor, and had hard muscle that didn't make the meat the most pleasant bites. If we hadn't paid $100 for the meat combo, I would have left it there. The short rib and the skirt steak were better. Hanger was ok, not as good as I remember. After dinner, I was in the mood for something sweet. I asked for the pineapple sorbet. When they brought it, I tried a small bite and it was not edible. It did not have the consistency of sorbet and tasted like cardboard (sorry to say). No pineapple flavor at all. I left the entire dessert there. When I asked for that to be taken off of the bill (sorbet is $9, the rest of our bill was $120 pre-tip), the server kindly asked the manager and they said no. That feels really wrong and was a very disappointing response from the establishment after spending $120 on our meal. You can't spare $9 to address food quality not being up to par? On the receipt, I asked them to try the sorbet themselves, so they can see what I was talking about. My advice to you is, go get your dessert somewhere else. Aside from that, the rest of the experience was good. I would recommend people to give it a try and try different cuts of meat.

Yelp
I came here on a Friday evening at 6:30PM and wasn't surprised to see the restaurant already hustling and bustling! My party of four had to wait around 15 mins before getting seated. We ordered the WOOGA special for five which included the prime rib eye, short rib, hanger steak, rib finger, pork shoulder, belly, and jowl. This also included four sides total, so we opted for the kimchi soup and the steamed eggs. The bonchon was also tasty and had plenty of variety! The service was great as they cooked the meat for us and were very attentive. If your group has an appetite like mine, the special for five is actually perfect for four people. The pork towards the end was also very fatty which wasn't our taste, but that's just nitpicking at this point. The price point is on the higher end, but for the quality of meat, it's worth it once in awhile. I'd love to come back!

Yelp
Food and drinks were on point. Everyone had a great time. Servers were always attentive and made sure we were taken care of.

Yelp
Be prepared to wait for a table on the weekend. It gets packed and the wait time usually is 40 mins but you'll likely get seated before then. I was worried I'd smell like kbbq leaving since you cook right on the table and there isn't really a filtration. Needless to say I left my sweater in the car. We skipped the kbbq and went for entrees instead tonight and it was good but could be better. We got 3 entrees. Hot stone octopus - really lacking on the octopus. There was barely any. For $25 you'd expect some more but there's only sliced cabbage and onions and carrots mostly. The spicy red paste was the kicker and saving grace. Spicy rice cake- great! This has 2 dumplings, 2 onion rings, lots of fish cakes, lots of Tteok-bokki, and loads and loads of cheese. I'd reorder this one. Kimchi fried rice- this was too mushy. The egg at the bottom was alright and wasn't too flavorful. I'd prefer the egg soufflé instead. Pass. Next time I'll just order the small beef for two.

Yelp
A great place for great quality Korean bbq. My boyfriend and I went around 8:30pm on a Saturday. The parking lot was full but cars pulled out frequently so we were able to grab a spot after just one lap around. There was a 40min wait but we were seated well under that. We ordered the small beef combo for two, fried small intestine, an order of the chef's cut prime short rib, and corn cheese. We also ordered 1 bottle of soju and 4 Terra's. The skirt steak and hanger steak were top favorites from the combo. The combo came with mushrooms and rice cakes. While the quality of presentation of everything was great, I felt that the portions were kind of small compared to another Korean bbq place we love. It was just the two of us and we ordered quite a bit. I will say not to go close to closing time if you like to take your time with meals. They're ON TIME with closing time and informed each table when it was last time. It wasn't an issue for us since we were done but I could see how some people might not be too thrilled about it if they didn't know. Overall great experience and we have another place to add to frequent for Korean bbq!

Yelp
Came here once before when they used to be called 1080 and again recently. I recall they get very busy during dinner time on weekends so we came on a Saturday around 5pm and were seated right away. Service was good and everyone was prompt and helpful. Meat was great - personally think among the KBBQ spots in the area, this is among the top. Banchan was good too. There was a mixup with one part of our order and we had to cancel though all in all, enjoyed the meal. Energy was in line with KBBQ restaurants. It can get loud and busy (by time we left, there was a line forming). Worth trying especially if you're in the area and like KBBQ.

Yelp
Oh my goodness. I was the only Caucasian in the place, which is always a vote of confidence. Every dish was magnificently prepared, and superb, from the radish pickles to the several kinds of meat, grilled at the table by a very skilled staff member to the many so tasty side dishes. Your wallet may be in a state of shock, but the rest of you will be delighted.

Yelp
Food was pretty good, we got the combo for three and that was enough to try out everything. The pork jowl and pork belly were especially good. The beef was also amazing, definitely recommend on choosing a combo to get more bang for your buck and to try out more. Service was amazing, they were fast with every request. Overall it was a good experience, but the price point is definitely higher. The restaurant is beautiful and clean, very simple. For me, it's not worth for the price since there are cheaper places with larger quantities of meat and equal quality. Still good to try!

Yelp
Great Korean BBQ! I think they changed their name from 1080. Excellent meats and Pam Chan side dishes. Tender beef. Great pork. Excellent crab. Well worth the money - takes about 80 minutes to feast!

Yelp
I've been wanting to try A5 Japanese wagyu for a while now, and I felt this was a good way to try it. We also got iberico pork belly add-on, though we probably would have been full enough without it (we were just 2 people). The wagyu set comes with mushrooms, rice cakes, white rice, lettuce wraps, banchan sides, sauces, and 2 sides - we got the steamed egg and soybean stew. The pork belly came with kimchi and onions, which were also grilled and soaked up the pork fat. The wagyu melted in the mouth, and the sauces and sides were all great. The pork belly was both meaty and fatty, and the grilled kimchi and onions were a nice touch to balance out that fat. The skin side of the pork belly was too hard to eat, though - could have cut that part off before serving. The sides and banchan really helped to balance the fattiness of the meat, so we didn't feel disgusting after. Service was impeccable, and we weren't rushed out at the end of the meal. Banchan and waters were refilled as needed, and the food was cooked perfectly. We arrived at noon when they opened, and it was mostly filled soon after, but there was no wait. The restaurant didn't get too smoky - I didn't even smell like smoke after I left. It is a little on the pricier side, especially if you go for the premium cuts, so those ones I'd reserve for a special occasion - we were celebrating a birthday.

Yelp
Food 4.0/5.0 Service 3.5/5.0 Value 3.5/5.0 Decor 3.0/5.0 Overall 4.0/5.0 Solid KBBQ option in/around Fort Lee. Good menu breadth on the meats. Puts many spots in the city to shame. Would come back if in area.

Yelp
I enjoyed my time here! Table of 6 took about 45 minute wait. We got the Wooga for 3 and a bunch of apps and the a5 waygu! This melts in your mouth!!! I also liked our Wooga for 3 selection it gives you beef cuts and pork! Although I did like the beef cuts better than the pork! I liked their ban Chan sides - mash potato radish peppers and Kim chi! Free parking outside and I smelled like k bbq when I left lol

Yelp
The service was great and the waiters provided good recommendations while also grilling the meat to your liking. The ambiance is ok for a regular Korean BBQ place although they mostly played sad Korean songs. My family got the beef set for four which could have been enough food for us if we weren't very hungry. However, we did decide to get another order of meat at the end. We also got one kimchi stew, dwenjang stew, and two steamed eggs which came with the set. All of the stews and the steamed eggs were delicious. They also had a plethora of side dishes and they refilled when we asked. The side dishes went well with the entire meal, especially the radish wraps! The meat were all good quality and presented beautifully. The first meat that we got was a little tough but the others were much more tender and the marbling was beautiful. The fatty parts melted in your mouth! The last meat that came marinated with pineapples was too sweet and salty in my opinion and it didn't help to finish the meal so we got another order of meat. I also got the non-spicy cold noodles which is usually a go to for me when I go to a KBBQ. It helps to finish off the meal in a refreshing way and also goes well with beef. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed by the cold noodles. It was way too sweet and not worth getting. Overall the meal came out to a little less than $300 which I would consider more on the expensive side given some of the small disappointment. I would go again only if a friend or a family member really wanted to go but I wouldn't personally choose to go there myself.

Yelp
Used to be called 1080 I guess the ownership must've changed. This place is still my favorite kbbq when I am in New Jersey exception of hannam bbq. Wooga sauces for the meat is definitely what separates them from other kbbq spots. Their interior works great for them because they actually seem to butcher their own meats in the restaurant with couple of meats on display for the customers to see. We got there 30 minutes before closing time and the service was still excellent. Ordered bunch of other meats but was too hungry to snap the pics. Their steamed egg is always consistant and their kimchi stew was definitely a hit. I will definitely return when I am in NJ.

E J.

Yelp
Excellent quality meats for Korean bbq. It's just that simple. Service was also very good which is a big plus as the servers are quite proactive about ensuring the meats are cooked to your liking. It's a place for authentic Korean bbq lovers. Can get a tad smoky inside but not overwhelming and just shows the popularity of the place. The place has its own parking lot which is a plus, although it does fill up during peak times.

Yelp
First time eating raw marinated crabs and it was bomb! Now I understand what the hype about it.

Yelp
The best kbbq place in town!! Such high quality meats, great service, and good banchan. We always get the wooga combo for 3 for three hungry people and always leave super satisfied and full. I love that they grill the meats with thyme and rosemary because it gives the meat more flavor. At peak dinner time on weekends, there might be a longer wait (1 hour) so plan accordingly!
google avatar

Danni F.

Yelp
One of our favorite korean bbq spots in the NY/NJ area! It is located conveniently on Palisades Ave in Fort Lee with a spacious parking lot and usually no reservation needed. Although, they can get busy during peak times and there may be a wait time. Service is fast and the restaurant is very spacious. We usually go as a family and are able to get a big table to ourselves. Their meat is top notch! The beef cuts they have can rival some of the very expensive korean bbq places in NYC without the price tag! It is always a satisfying meal after eating at Wooga and I would 100% recommend!
google avatar

Johnny W.

Yelp
The service is very top notched and the staff cooked our selections perfectly. The ambiance is welcoming and comfortable, but the tables were a bit cramped, especially for big parties. The meat selection were pricey, but worth every penny because the quality of their cuts were so delicious! Our favorites were the short ribs and the finger cuts, which were so tender, beefy, and rich! The garlic soy based sauces were delicious and paired perfectly with all of our meats and seafoods! Would definitely come back for more KBBQ next time! Thank you for reading and best of luck!

Yelp
Really good and so fast and efficient in the service. We only waited about 10-15 minutes for a party of 4 on a Friday night at 6:30pm. I would stick with the short rib or marinated short rib. While high quality, the hanger steak and ribeye were a little lean for my taste. The pork jowl was a bit on the chewy side and while it's fine and buttery, I might not get that one again. My chief complaint would be that in the summer they need to add a few more A/C units. Pretty casual place. We spent probably a tiny bit over $300 including tax and tip.

Sulgi L.

Yelp
Fresh, high quality meats. Attentive service from the folks tending to the meat. Appreciated the free sides that came with the meat combo.
google avatar

Jin K.

Yelp
Oh, man.... This place is legit delicious. I was really impressed with the high quality meats. I tried the A5 wagyu, dry aged rib eye, duck, and iberico pork. Surprisingly the iberico pork was my favorite. Such great, deep pork flavor. They grill it with kimchi which really cuts down on the cattiness of the pork. Service was attentive and very good. They grilled the meats perfectly and changed the grills frequently. Only minor gripe I have (maybe I'd take off a quarter start) is that the tables are too close together (like NYC). Also they need to turn up the AC as with all the grills going it was quite hot. Overall I rate this place very highly. I would rank this as the best Korean BBQ in NJ!
google avatar

PJ P.

Yelp
Honestly some of the best Kbbq in the Fort Lee area. The meat quality is amazing and delicious, the banchan is delicious and the staff is really attentive. Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
My nail lady who lives an hour away from here has been raving about this place to me. She hyped it up saying they're famous for their korean bbq and that I have to try since I live so close. So I finally tried today for Mother's Day. We were a group of 8 and since they open at 12 and don't take reservations we arrived at 11:45 to make sure we could secure a table. By 12:30 they were completely packed. We got the wooga large for 5 and the beef large for 4 and a bunch of other a la carte meets. There was not one meat I had a complain about. Besides meat and the sides that came with the packages, we got kimchi and bacon fried rice which was AMAZING and we were so happy we decided to give it a try and the cheesy corn which is a kbbq neccesity. Everything was to die for. I finally understand the hype of this place. Our servers were all super nice and explained things very well. It is on the pricier side but well worth your money! If you can get a seat at this place you definitely should. I would say this is now my favorite korean bbq place.

Yelp
12.25.2033 @8:38pm Walk in for table of 3. One of the best yummy korean BBQ. Quality is always one of the best compare to others especially the AYCA. Service is always on point and friendly.

Yelp
I had high expectations on this place based on the reviews on Yelp, and boy was the food disappointing. Let me start off by saying the service was really top notch. Absolutely 5 stars on the level of service you get here. The food was an absolute 0 stars. We ordered the beef combo for 4 and pork combo for 4. For roughly $350 dollars worth of food, I was expecting a lot of meat. You barely get any thing with these combos. I might have had about 8 pieces of beef? The portions here are way too small. The butchering of the beef here is also not good. There was large chunks of fat on some of the cuts which didn't feel or taste good in my mouth. I guess in a matter of 10 years, Las Vegas Korean BBQ as eclipsed New Jersey's.
google avatar

Ken W.

Yelp
Service was impeccable, with each cut of meat meticulously snipped and prepared. The A5 rib eye was unbelievably tender while the ibérico pork belly was quite fatty and flavorful. Hanger steak was beefy while the short rib was richer. Pork rib finger also tasted quite beefy. All the selections were impeccable and the dips complemented well and refilled as needed.

Yelp
Hubby made a resso for 6 pm on a Sunday as my belated birthday dinner. It was pretty packed at that time so definitely reserve if you can. To start, they give you some banchan. My favorite was the thinly sliced daikon (which I may or may not have used to make a 'taco' with the meats) and the cucumber kimchi. This wasn't your typical cucumber kimchi but they use korean cucumbers, which are crunchier. They don't automatically refill these but if you ask them, they will. For the BBQ, we went with the Wooga Small for Three (Prime Short Rib, Hanger Steak, Rib Finger, Pork Shoulder, Pork Belly, Pork Jowl). This came with your choice of two sides and we went with the steamed egg and the kimchi pork stew. The steamed egg was so fluffy, they tasted like egg clouds. The kimchi in the stew was extra fermented, which I didn't love. All the meats were good. We also ordered the seasoned tiger shrimp, which surprisingly was my fave of the night. We definitely over ordered for two people but we wanted to try the different meats. Plus, we figured we could just eat the rest for lunch the next day (which in hindsight, I do not recommend because the leftovers were dried out.) I'd come back but next time, I would come with a larger group so we can try more/different dishes.
google avatar

Adriana M.

Yelp
Here are some things to know: - Try to get the smaller options for the meat because the portions are pretty filling. - Service is okay. They never delivered the rice that I ordered but otherwise staff were helpful. - Nicely decorated place. Nothing fancy but can't complain about it. I would recommend to go if you are looking for something filling and adventurous.

Yelp
4.5 for wooga/taste 1080 Super fresh and delicious tasting cuts. Tried the wooga combo for 5 and we felt that was just right in terms of portion size. The kimchi and bacon fried rice was delicious too! The sides that came with it was bomb. Prob the best steamed egg I've had The kimchi banchan was wayyyyy too salty tho But loved everything else!!

Yelp
What a great find. Decided to meet up half way with my brother's family and met up here for dinner. You can make a reservation for a larger sizes party which is super helpful. The service was great and very attentive to my kid's food allergy (sesame seeds). We loved it that they don't add sesame seeds to the marinade because that usually limits what my kid can eat at a bbq. And they were able to tell her what side dishes she could eat or not. The food was delicious. The ambiance was nice and clean. One of my kids claimed this was better than the fancy/popular Korean bbq in NYC heh heh. Thanks for a great meal!

Yelp
This is a great Korean bbq restaurant! The food is really tasty and the meat is high quality. We got the combo for 3 which has both various beef and pork as well as a choice of 2 sides (out of soybean stew, kimchi pork soup and steamed egg). The beef is well marbled and oh-so-tender! The pork was good too but it was nowhere as good as the beef. There is a dipping sauce tray with salt, a sweet thick sauce, and miso. There is also a bowl of soy sauce seasoned with scallions for dipping. The steamed egg is fluffy and delicious! The combo has a good portion of meats. I was pretty full halfway through, which never happens at these Korean bbq places. We also ordered the spicy beef soup and asked them to add ramen noodles but they added clear noodles instead. The soup was bright red but it wasn't as spicy as it looked. The beef was like a shredded type of beef. We waited about an hour for a table which was the only downside.

Yelp
Tried their kbbq, cold noodles and beef intestines. We got an assortment of beef cuts and all were extremely fresh and well cooked. They offer a variety of sauces that you can dip including salt, a yuzu sauce, and korean bean dip. The cold noodles were very good. Chewy, and the soup was divine. Lastly, i didn't love the intestines however i usually do not eat these so i could be unknowledgeable, but it tasted pretty irony to me. Cheers!

Yelp
Nothing beats this spot when you want solid kbbq. The quality, taste, and cost all make this place THE go to spot. Meat is always tender and cooked as preferred. They provide a bunch of different side dishes as well as an egg soufflé and a soup dish. service is always speedy even on the busiest of days.

Yelp
Again, didn't take any photos of the scrumptious food at this joint but its always on point. The photos taken by other patrons should speak for themselves. Love the kimchi, potato salad, and fluffy molten steamed egg here. Meats are good quality and for a reasonable price. If you find this pricey for what you get, just a heads up that (1) good quality beef is not cheap, (2) generally you'll probably be paying much more per pound for slightly lower quality/quantity of meats and service in NYC, and (3) you will be stuffed. Though I can't speak for the value you're getting from the pork here because I've only ever gotten the beef combo. Service has always been and still is top notch. Workers are attentive, tended to our bbq meats frequently, and asked if we were enjoying the food. One of the servers (wish I knew his name) took extra care of us and offered us free soft drinks for our wait, even though we were fully expecting the wait and didn't mind it at all! Even my brother was shook at how good the service was. This is one place I'd definitely take my friends if they ever visited my area and I wanted to introduce them to KBBQ.
google avatar

Jen M.

Yelp
This is my favorite place to visit. The food is fresh and service is fast. While you may have to wait a bit, you surely will understand why there's always a line here. The servers cook the food so effortlessly and you're sure to leave full and content. My favorite is the sweet corn and steamed egg. They've perfected these sides. While it may be a bit loud here for a date night, it's still a great time. Definitely make sure to come here and bring some money because it is pricey!

Yelp
This is a solid upscale k-bbq/meat place. I said k-bbq/meat because it belongs to that modern meat house concept that focuses on high-quality meat at higher price, which is fundamentally different than the traditional k-bbq place which focus more on quantity of meat (with many of the pre-marinaded), copious amounts of banchans, and veggie ssam. (lettuce wraps) We walked in a bit before 6pm on a Tuesday night and was promptly seated as it was mostly empty still. Menu was very clearly organized and we ordered the Small Beef combo and they brought just a few but quality banchans with egg soufflé and a choice of kimchi, dwaenjang (fermented soybean), and soon tofu jjigaes. We went with dwaenjang. The egg was more dense than what we're used to in other Korean bbq places, mainly because it doesn't contain as much water but more egg, so it's thicker but tastier. It does however, dry out towards the end of the meal so I'd advise eating it up front more. They brought out the meat and cooked Top Sirloin, Skirt, Hanger, then finally Seasoned (not pre-marinaded) short rib (joomoolluk). Top sirloin was a tad bit too tough, one piece being impossible to cut in my mouth but had good mouth feel & beefy taste. From there the meat progressively got softer with buttery skirt steak (far tenderer & better than the skirt steak you're used to at latin bistros), melt-in-mouth hanger steak, followed by chewy short rib. All the meat tasted really good, either dipped in just tiny bit of salt crystals or thick sweet soy sauce dip, ssamjang, or jalapeño-infused soy vinaigrette. They provide onion moochim and sliced radish to balance out the meat with. Dwaenjang jjigae was robust without being salty and full of flavor, the way it should be, so it was great eating rice with it to round out the meal. Service was quite good too despite how busy it quickly got - servers explained the meat briefly, asked for meat doneness, and cooked it attentively. By the time we left near 7pm, the place was packed full... on a Tuesday night, and for a good reason - great meat! Parking is right next to the restaurant and plenty, though the lot appeared nearly full when we got out. Highly recommended for those (2-6 in a group) looking for higher quality k-bbq that focuses on good cuts of meat, though if you're looking for large group k-bbq feast focused more on quantity and variety, I'd try elsewhere.

Yelp
This spot is a big yes in my book. We get the beef combo options -- all the meat is delicious. It gets cooked by the workers there so it makes the experience more relaxing. The sides are always a plus and yum. I would highly recommend the cheese corn and rice cakes. Other sides like beef stew, the steamed egg are also really good! Can't wait to go back. It's a little pricey but worth it every time. The workers there are also very nice.

Yelp
The meats here were phenomenal. You can tell the quality and freshness in each bite. I ordered the beef set. I thought it was going to be charcoal grill but they used gas. Everything still turned out really delicious. Not many banchan options but the kimchi! It was so fresh with the perfect flavor. I couldn't stop getting refills on it! The steamed egg looked fluffy, but my batch was overcooked. It's a small spot, but the atmosphere felt like I was in Seoul. The ventilation there was not great because it was kinda smokey in there. I will come back and try their premium cut options!

Yelp
This is one of the decent places for kbbq in the bergen area. I came here twice, once with a party of 3 and once with a party of 5, and both times we had to wait about 30 minutes to get seated. They did not take reservations for us b/c our party size was too small. It DOES get a bit smoky in here and there's not the best ventilation. The servers do cook your meat for you, but make sure to tell them how you like your meat cooked! Both times they were pretty undercooked to my preference, but it was all good after I told them I would prefer my meat to have less redness. Love the fluffy steamed egg and the choice of kimichi jjigae or dwenjang jjigae, both that were a bit too heavily seasoned but still were good with the meat. Honestly, we felt that the non-marinated meat tasted better than the marinated kalbi, as the latter was too sweet. One plus is that there is a decent parking spot here and it is also very accessible with the NJ Transit!

Yelp
This is my all time favorite place for kbbq. While it is on the expensive side the cuts of meat are divine. The service is friendly and they make sure to explain which meats they are grilling and cook everything for you so that you don't have to touch anything. Their peach iced tea is also very refreshing and pairs well with the rice. The space is very friendly and everyone sounds and seems like they are having a good time. This is always be my first go to for a group dinner with friends or celebration dinner with family!

Yelp
As you enter the place, it was a nice size establishment. We had plenty of space between other customers. The food was solid and the meat was fresh. I got the two person beef combo and our server cooked it perfectly. The combo also came with choices of two sides I picked the kimchi coup and steamed egg. The side dishes were delicious. The kimchi soup had the right amount of spice and salt. The food was cooked on a electric grill and our server changed the grill frequently. Service was good but everyone looked like they hated working there. A smile doesn't cost money, so next time smile with some teeth. Thanks for a good meal!

Yelp
So this is not my first time at Taste 1080, but not after they changed names to Wooga. Busy as usual, parking is hard with no street parking so be prepared to wait. Also waiting for 1hr before we got seated but we'll worth it. Love the variety on the menu with a great quality meat selection. Waiters were really busy so they they sort of served all the orders within 5min and felt rushed a bit.

Yelp
My friend selected Wooga for dinner tonight. We lucked into a table after a brief wait on a Thursday night at about 6pm. As soon as we arrived, we were hit with a smell of delicious grilled meat. We were also greeted by a friendly gentleman that was working the front counter. The table was cool, nice grill in the middle. Our waiter/chef was polite and knowledgeable. He made solid recommendations. We went with the meat combo for three, we have pretty healthy appetites. We also selected the seafood pancake. That seafood pancake is outstanding, served piping hot with good texture and a solid amount of seafood. The meat combo came with a custard egg dish (awesome), kimchi stew (hot and flavorful), and a great range of barchan. The beef and pork combo was outstanding. Tender, flavorful, nice condiments. All around enjoyable experience!

Yelp
Best KBBQ in the area hands down! 10/10 would go again. All of the meat selections are super delicious and tender. All of the beef is USDA Prime, top notch quality. They have good sides also, and a decent beer and wine No reservations, so during peak time there may be a wait... and the parking lot is usually pretty full so plan accordingly.
