Woori Korean Restaurant

Simple and no-frills but really elegantly executed. My credentials are that my parents also own a Korean restaurant and I grew up eating Korean food all my life. The tteokbokki tastes just like what you get at a classic bunsik place in Korea. Bibimbap ingredients were fresh and delicious (though we could have used a little more sauce!). They gave us complimentary warm miso soup with our takeout which was a nice surprise. Portions are generous and prices are generally reasonable for the neighborhood.

Lovely little place. The service is super quick! Mind that the place is BYOB All the food was delicious! My personal favorite was the LA Galbi beef Short ribs and the Kimchi. We also ordered beef and veggie fried dumplings, scallion pancake , a nori veggie roll and one of the steer fries. All of it was fresh,hot and tasty. This place is great for vegetarians and carnivores alike , there is something for everyone on the menu

I am glad I found this gem 💎. I don't know where to begin with this review . Brooklyn ny has been blessed for sure . This Korean restaurant has a medium size menu but , it is made to please the finest of palettes . A very clean and well organized, cozy atmosphere . I am very pleased with the quality of the dishes that I ordered . The quantity that you receive will please even the more heartier of people . I think comparative to any of the restaurants in this area I would put the pricing to be on point to a little less . The young lady that greeted us from the time we entered to , the taking our order and , answering all of our questions was so very polite and calm . If you are In this area for any length of time and , you are looking for choices , stop in and try this place . I do hope you get to see some of the pictures that I have taken . It was my first time here. We got the Dukboki appetizer to start with. It was a gravy base with rice cake and fish with 2 fried dumplings. Very delicious. For the main course we got Dolslot Bibimbap and Dakgui. The bibimbap served was served on a sizzling pan and was full of vegetables, rice, egg and chicken. Dakgui tasted similar as the sauce base was just the same ( gojhujang sauce). Overall experience was good, staff was friendly. I wish there were more entree options with chicken.

Delicious food and service. Will definitely go back and try other dishes. The seafood pancake was one of the best seafood pancakes that I've had.

I'm so hype that I found another amazing Korean restaurant in Brooklyn with great service and amazing food. The food was so good that I ordered take out twice in one day. The first time I ordered panjeon and the lunch special which included kimchi, grilled pork, japchae, kimbap and banchan. The second time I ordered mandu and kimchi stew with sausage, ham, pork belly, tofu, rice cake, and ramen. The food was flavorful, authentic and obviously made with love! I enjoyed every bite and plan on ordering here again. The physical location is a bit small and they don't serve alcohol, it's not a place you would meet with friends to have a meal. It's more of a grab and go or if you're in the area and want a great meal you would eat and go. I definitely found my second favorite Korean restaurant in Brooklyn and I hope the business stays in the area for years to come.

Great portions. Everything is so tasty. We ate everything. Very fresh. Nice atmosphere. Not overcrowded or loud. The kimchi pancakes were fabulous. The bulgogi so tender and flavorful. We will def be coming again.

I have to speak out about Woori. I rely on delivery because I live a bit far, so I've only ever ordered takeout. They are the most CONSISTENT Korean restaurant in all of Brooklyn. They are the only korean restaurant that has never disappointed me. I rely on their bulgogi bibimbap weekly, and their banchan is the best when it comes to variety and flavor. Their bulgogi is garlicky, buttery, and just absolutely perfect. I wish I could order a big side of the Mac salad they give you! They always follow my special instructions for extra sauce, and they have never missed on consistency of quality. There have been times where I didn't like what I ordered, but despite my personal preference, I could tell it was still a worthy dish. No technical errors. My favorite dishes/my most ordered dishes are: - Bulgogi bibimbap with extra house sauce - Dukbokki with cheese added - Soondubu tofu stew with kimchi or bulgogi

Came here on an unassuming Thursday afternoon mid-April when the weather was especially beautiful and everyone in Fort Greene was eating al fresco as if they were in Paris. However, I was craving Korean and catching up with a good friend who raved about this place. We got the dolsot bibimbap and the ohjingah bokeum (spicy squid) and both dishes were superb. The prices were good, the food was super authentic, and the staff was attentive. The only bad thing is that it closed early (9PM), but other than that, you should be good to go!

So happy to come across this quiet casual Korean spot. Nice service and it really feels like a family run restaurant. AC was lacking but they tried to direct a big fan toward the customers. Still got quite sweaty especially after all the spicy bubbling hot food and trying to wrangle our toddler to sit still on our laps. Toddler approved of the kimbap and polished off all the yellow pickled radish. Husband got his jajangmyeon cravings satisfied; he was extra thrilled they were able to accommodate his request to make it spicy. I tried the beef sundubu jjigae but it wasn't as good as the ones I've had elsewhere - it was just salty and didn't include any veggies. Would not order this again but interested in returning to try other menu options.

We absolutely love Woori for Korean take out. We ordered quite often and have yet to be disappointed. It's an expensive habit but we are paying for quality. The Banchan is wonderful and our favorites include the fish cake and the spicy bean sprouts. We stan for the spicy korean pork but have discovered the BBQ sauteed chicken is seriously underrated- it's our daughters favorite dish. The galbi is great as well as the beef jap Chae. My new favorite is the dukbokki. I was sick recently and these were spicy and comforting and chewy rice cakes hit the spot. Another gem is the kimchi jiggae which is a stew of sausages, pork belly, kimchi, ramen, and rice cakes in a spicy broth. Perfect for the frigid weather or when you're sick and don't know what to eat. Love the food and they deliver in a timely fashion.

I love this spot! The lunch box is such a great meal, I've usually order for delivery but I came in with a friend last week to eat in person and was pleasantly surprised at how fast the food came out and the ambience. It's a nice, quaint spot with vibey music playing and really kind service. Definitely becoming a regular, the bulgogi beef and the rice are always cooked so nice. All of the banchan hits the spot for me too.

This is my go to for Korean food in Brooklyn. I remember when Korean cuisine was sparse in Brooklyn, thankfully I dont have to travel all the way to k-town in manhattan to get quality korean food. It taste pretty authetic especially their tteobokki. I absolutely love this place and recommend it ten folds. I am a take out girlie but I'm looking forward to getting the full experience. So far packaging is great and I can tell they take their time preparing the food.

Amazing Korean spot in Fort Greene :) This place don't sell alcohol but you can ask and bring your own bottle. They are very sweet and we brought some beers and they let us to drink in the restaurant. We went for lunch and we enjoyed from their huge lunch menu. I got Yukgaejang extra spicy- my friend got Sundubu Jigae. It comes with rice and small tapas of cause and pretty tasty! Extra spicy but I can eat as a baby spicy lover :) Lunch price is amazing! We sat at by the entrance it was a bit cold when a delivery guy come in and out but the meals was fresh and warm so it was perfect lunch in a cold weather.

One of the best Korean spots in the area! I'm a fan of the dukbokki and the rice cake soup. The rice cakes in until dukbokki are huge and perfectly textured, with a great kick from the sauce. The rice cake soup is my favorite. A clear beef broth filled with rice cakes and sliced beef. It is light yet flavorful and comforting, perfect for a cold winter day. They also serve a great japchae and jajangmyeon! I also always like to get a choco pie and an oh yes, both packaged dessert cakes, which are a great little addition to your order.

The people are really nice and they make really good food. it is the best Korean food I had in New York. They have really good kimchi soup and beef. we came here as a family and The server was very friendly and they gave us free dumplings.

Very solid korean food!! I've been here many times and they never disappoint. Everything I've tried here has been really good, especially the Galbitang. There aren't many seats but most customers do take-out so I've never had to wait to get seated before. The restaurant has a very casual ambience with simple furniture and not much decoration. The service is good and the prices are reasonable.

Woori is a Korean restaurant in Clinton Hill right by the Northeast corner of Fort Greene Park. I took my brother here for lunch and we were offered the big table by the front. The lunch specials are numerous and I took my time making a decision. Ultimately I took the easy way out and ordered the bulgogi, while my little brother opted for the galbi. We received a variety of side dishes: kimchi, bean sprouts, etc. After some initial nibbling, our mains arrived. Let me share an honest truth: I know very little about Korean food. Bulgogi was a safe bet because I've had it (and enjoyed it) in the past. But this was by far the tastiest, juiciest, most mouthwatering bulgogi I've had in my life. My brother let me try the galbi, which also proved to be delicious. We punctuated our eating with moans of approval; I couldn't hold back my delight. After consuming all the rice and devouring the side dishes, there were only empty plates left on the table. Looking over Woori's menu, I came to terms with my ignorance about this type of cuisine. Woori's well-priced lunch specials present an appealing opportunity to try new things and discover a world of culinary delights. I'm excited to step outside my comfort zone in future visits and explore more of these tasty delicacies. Woori is a welcome addition to the neighborhood and a worthy destination for foodies near and far.

Such a good family-run spot. I don't go here as often as I'd like, because it's just a smidge too far to be a pleasant walk away. But i love this cozy spot and am never disappointed. My favorite is the LA galbi--sweet and salty in the best possible way. Their jeon is also amazing-- always with crispy edges and not floppy and soggy. Service is friendly and quick!

Brooklyn doesn't have a lot of Korean food and this place is perfect for your many cravings. They have an extensive menu for a small restaurant. Theres only a few tables for dine in. Their dolsot bibimbap is filled with stuff and not too much rice in a large wide bowl to maximize crisping of rice. It was great. Their seafood noodle soup also had so much in it. Two meals for sure. La kalbi is good but overly sweet if you're into that. Soondubu was great with silky tofu and flavorful broth. Burned my tongue. Their banchan is more of the plain stuff but spicy and flavorful. The ladies that work there are super sweet.

don't WOORI everybody this place goes hard as FUCK! I love brinigng my kids here. yes, it has been changed ownership in this... area several times since 2014. but this time they went hard as fuck. i love fort greene and i call this my fort of no woori ok? the rice is great. i eat in my car. i bring my child jimothethy here.... i love it......... yes

A quiet and underrated Korean spot in Fort Greene. The staff is nice and the food tastes legit. My go-to is the jae yook tofu kimchi. I've been pretty let down by other Korean restaurants in Brooklyn especially because their kimchi tastes under-fermented and sweet so their other kimchi dishes aren't flavorful but Woori does it right. I'm happy I don't have to go all the way to Manhattan for Korean food that isn't western fusion/modernized/fried chicken/bar food centric.

Woori has my favorite galbitang, or beef stew. The beef inside the soup is so juicy and melts in your mouth. They add glass noodles and green onions and the broth is so savory and tasty - I'm hoping to try out a homemade recipe. A lot of the items on this menu are quite delicious - we've tried the ttoboki and the spicy ramen as well (not pictured). The bibambap came with a good variety of vegetables and tasted pretty healthy and hearty. The ttoboki is AMAZING and they add a little bit of dumplings to it.

Just like a warm blanket... Sometimes you just want some good ol' fashioned traditional fare, just like your mom used to make- no fusion, no frills, no new-fangled flavors or taste combinations. That's what Woori was for us. Case in point, we had sundubu jjigae, galbi, japchae, mandu, etc. You get the point- all the all-time favorites. It was all quite tasty too. Exactly what we were in the mood for. So warm, so comforting... good food.

Amazing quality Korean. And don't have to travel to flushing to get it. Ordered the chicken lunch box and was pleasantly surprised at how delicious it was. Came with sooooo many sides and every one of them were delicious. Japchae, pickled veggies, kimchi, Mandy (dumpling), shumai, miso soup and rice. Just look at the picture!!! Will be going back to try everything on the menu.

Decided to check out this new Korean spot and was very pleased with my experience. I came on a quick lunch date with my wife and we both ordered lunch specials. We wanted to get out of the house and enjoy dining inside again. We were the only customers which made it feel very personal. For an appetizer we ordered Gun Mandu - Pan fried pork dumplings - they had great flavor and were super crunchy which I like. Didn't need any soy sauce. Complimentary kimchi pickled veggies / potatoes were placed on the table along with them. Complimentary miso soup from waitress was delivered very soon after and she was extremely courteous. For my entree I ordered the Jajangmyun The beef was super tender & sweet the marinade /sauce didn't leave much to be desired. Very hearty meal and felt like it was cooked with love... You know that cooking that makes you feel home? It was awesome. My wife had the Bulgogi Box lunch special She loved the glass noodles (japchae) particularly and the the bulgogi was "flavorful, juicy and tender." We left very happy and also received 10% off for the grand opening. 5 stars

I'm so happy that a traditional Korean restaurant opened in Fort Greene! My mom and I stopped by for some soup (soondubu and spicy galbitang) and totally hit the spot on this cold day. Delicious! We also had the dokbukki which was fantastic. You also get a choco-pie at the end of the meal! I highly recommend!

I'm excited to see a new Korean restaurant in the neighborhood as there aren't many if any at all. I placed an order through DoorDash for dinner and ordered galbi tang (short rib soup) and steamed gun mandu (dumplings). Both were really tasty and hit the spot. Felt like home cooking to me. The galbi tang had so much meat which is great because I usually don't ever see enough meat from other restaurants. The restaurant gave a great portion of banchan (side dishes) with my order which I feel is another rarity in NYC. Ha. Oh, and to top off my meal they added a free Choco Pie! (Takes me back to my childhood) Thanks. All in all I definitely recommend eating at Woori Korean restaurant you will not be disappointed. Welcome to the neighborhood Woori!! You will definitely be seeing consistent orders from me in the near future.

I had the vegetable kimbap which came with a small soup and a small portion of vegetables for $9.25. I appreciated them keeping all the extra sides included in these inflationary times when prices are rising and/or servings are shrinking. One of the better vegetarian meals that I've had recently. No compromises on flavor and seasoning was on point. Service was quick.

We chose this place for a dinner with our niece in Fort Greene. Nondescript mostly take out place but what a wonderful host family. We had the galbi, kimchi fried rice, tofu kimchi and tofu jjigae. All dishes were delicious. The sides were also made from scratch. We felt like a guest in a Korean family's home and had a wonderful evening. Kamsahamnida

My boyfriend and I came here on a Saturday night and there was no wait. I got the short rib soup which was REALLY REALLY GOOD!! Rich and deep flavor!! As a Korean person that can be a little elitist about strong and authentic flavors, I did not expect to find such an amazing Korean restaurant in Brooklyn. The staff were all very kind and polite and we had a wonderful experience. We will most definitely be back very very soon.

This was one delicious Korean food. Little pricey but it was worth it. We ordered Bulgogi and asked to make it spicy and it was spot on. We would definitely recommend this and would definitely come back again when in Brooklyn.

Cutest little spot in the neighborhood! And might be the only Korean spot on the street. I've only ordered with them through Uber eats so that's all I can speak on. They're the cutest! They leave a handwritten post it with every meal and include a choco pie. Definitely the go to spot for my Korean fix!

This is a great Korean restaurant in the neighborhood. I find the food really delicious and really good and I'm glad I finally have a good go-to place for Korean nearby. I've only gotten take out so far, and the quality of the meal has been excellent. I also like the added touches they have included so far, one order included a thank you note and another included a free choco-pie. It's the little things that goes a long way, especially when your work life is your home life these days. I look forward to dining here in a post-covid world.

I was craving Korean food and I wasn't even sure if there were any good Korean restaurants in BK, but this place is as authentic as it gets!!! To say I was pleasantly surprised is an UNDERSTATEMENT. We ordered the LA Galbi lunch special and the amount of food made the deal so worth. The quality of the food is also *chef's kiss*. Being Korean, I'm very very picky on ordering Korean food out since it can be a hit or miss, but this place was a hit. They also added in a Choco Pie which I haven't had in years haha. I am definitely planning on coming back here over and over again!

Doesn't look like much when you walk past but once you enter the atmosphere becomes welcoming. Customer service was amazing and so was the food. If you are looking for that authentic Korean dish then look no further. I ordered the L.A Galbi lunch box. I had a little of everything and it came with rice and Miso soup. I literally ate everything in the lunch box unlike my own lunch box when I packed it. Definitely recommending. If you do not believe me go try for yourself.

This place is absolutely awesome. Their food is super satisfying with a homemade vibe with generous portion sizes and banchan, but also skillfully made with well balanced flavors. Ordered the jajangmyeon made spicy and it was exactly what I was craving. Also highly recommend their dumplings and tteokbokki!

If you want good traditional Korean food, this is the spot! I saw them open today and they were offering 20% off so I decided to try it. The store was very clean and the food was amazing. I highly recommend the LA Galbi and Kimchi Jjigae!! 5 stars and will definitely come back

I visited Woori with a friend of mine, and we dined in. I ordered the sundubu jiggae which was as good, if not better, than what I've eaten in Koreatown. The stew had a bit of a spicy kick to it, but not overwhelming enough that it was too intense to eat. I enjoyed pouring spoonfuls of the broth into my bowl of rice and eating it with the complementary sides. The jiggae had a generous amount of delicious, melt-in-your-mouth tofu. My friend ordered the dolsot bibimbap and the miso soup, and cleaned her plate. The restaurant staff was kept busy with takeout orders throughout our meal, but service was friendly and we never felt rushed. I'm excited to come back and try more of their menu!

Amazing Korean spot! The Sundubu Jiggae is amazing. Might be a little pricey but what isn't today? Worth the cost.

I highly recommend woori korean restaurant for anyone seeking for authentic Korean food. I've been going here since they opened during Pandamic. The quality of service and ingredients have only gotten better over time. I have almost tried out most of the dishes, and there isn't one dish that I wouldn't recommend!! One of my favorite dishes is yukgaejang (pulled beef soup). Their seafood pancake is so crispy outside and chewy inside! I can almost taste it even think about it.!! Also, you cannot go wrong with trying their bibimbap (regular or in hot stoned) paired it with soonduboo soup!! Go try for yourself! It will be a worth of visit!!

I already know that Woori is going to be a go-to whenever my husband and I want something quick and delicious for lunch or dinner. We were intrigued by the Yelp photos of the "special boxes" and each ordered one for lunch. We were so pleasantly shocked to see how much food showed up - it was so much more than we imagined based on the photos! It came with so many side dishes, a soup, and a hearty serving of rice. The marinade used for their meats was perfect - not too spicy, not too salty. I also appreciate how they use paper goods (vs plastic) for their soups and rice. They even included an extra sweet treat and a really nice handwritten thank you note. Everything was so reasonably priced and well-packaged. We can't wait to eat our way through the rest of the menu!

Chapchae with beef is the best one. Vermicelli with black beans was good as well. Lunch is cheap and tasty.

Only tried once so far but it was delicious. Jae yook tofu kimchi and Jajangmyeon were the highlights. Jae yook is a hot, spicy stir fried pork and kimchi accompanied by cold soft slices of tofu. Jajangmyeon is like thick udon noodles tossed in a rich black onion-y sauce with chunks of pork. Also comes with little bites of pickles and salad like they give you in the restaurant.

Oh ma lawd. Finally, a ducking decent Korean restaurant in BK! Their yookgaejang was on point- perfect spicy beefy stew for spring weather. Appreciated the lil banchans that came with the delivery (could we have more...greenage? It's all I ask!). I'll have to come back and try their Korean bbq. This is my to go spot for Korean from now on!

Just ordered three days in a row from here .. best Korean I've had in BK by far. Bulgogi, LA Kalbi, Kimchi Jigae all top notch .. deep flavors, rich marinade, spice. Also aju aju aju legit giving you raw garlic and gochu slices on the side not to mention banchan with the delivery. Love this spot!!!!
