Where to Find the Best Halal Food in Orlando, Florida | Eater Miami

"One of the only restaurants in the state offering Saudi Arabian fare offers peninsular classics like gareesh (a porridge-like starter of seasoned coarsely-ground cracked wheat and yogurt), mandi lamb (spice lamb shank over seasoned rice) and tajen molokhia (leaves of corchorus olitorius cooked with onions, tomatoes and Saudi seasonings). Look for a buffet to be offered during the month of Ramadan. Always end with konafa." - Faiyaz Kara

One of the area’s few spots for Saudi‑style mandi and homestyle Arabic dishes. Eater highlights it for distinctive regional cooking; recent diners praise tender lamb over fragrant rice and the welcoming vibe.

Google
This was such an enjoyable gem of a restaurant. The food was delicious with perfectly blended spices. I highly recommend the kofta and shish chicken. The pita was freshly baked and baked to perfection, dare I say better than any pita bread I tried in Greece. The hummus was tasty but the potatoes were devine, especially on the rice and with the pita! If you haven't tried this place, I highly recommend giving it a shot. Just be aware of cultural norms, no alcohol is served here. If that's a deal breaker, just know there's an Irish pub next door. This meal is worth it, dry or not, so don't miss out on the exceptional service and food World's Magic Restaurant provides.

Before entering you might get a bit disappointed because of the atmosphere outside but trust me when you will get inside you will feel great. A middle eastern vibe, very clean and neat. And food was very good. Will definitely recommend if you visit to orlando.

Google
This place was a delightful treat for dinner. My boyfriend and I actually meant to try the place next door and mistakenly walked in here, but it turned out to be a wonderful accident - we had a delicious dinner and our server Muhammad helped us pick traditional Arab options. Would absolutely recommend!

Google
While visiting Orlando, Florida, we stumbled upon World’s Magic Restaurant, a hidden gem serving authentic Saudi cuisine. This was a rare and delightful surprise—while Mediterranean and Arabic restaurants are quite common, it’s not often you come across a true Saudi restaurant outside of Saudi Arabia itself. We ordered the Lamb Mandi and Chicken Mandi, and both dishes were nothing short of fantastic. The rice was fragrant, perfectly seasoned, and absolutely bursting with flavor. The meat was tender, juicy, and cooked to perfection, with just the right blend of spices. The hummus was smooth and delicious—though I would have loved a slightly larger portion. The Arabic salad was fresh, crisp, and the perfect complement to the mandi, while the stuffed cabbage leaves were a pleasant surprise—honestly better than grape leaves in both flavor and texture. A side of garlic sauce elevated everything on the plate; in my opinion, it’s a must-have with mandi. The restaurant itself had a welcoming and well-kept atmosphere, with tasteful décor that set a warm tone. A particularly thoughtful touch was the musalla area at the front for guests to perform salah, which we deeply appreciated. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel at home from the moment we walked in. While I do wish the menu had a few more unique Saudi dishes to explore, it was refreshing to see authentic flavors from Saudi Arabia represented so well. If you’re in Orlando and want to try something beyond the usual Mediterranean or Middle Eastern fare, World’s Magic Restaurant is well worth a visit.

Google
Amazing food. It’s a family run atmosphere. Expect great home cooked food in a warm inviting atmosphere. If you are looking for sterile white tablecloth service look elsewhere. The meat with rice was to die for.

Google
Wonderful Mediterranean restaurant! Servers were nice and welcoming. The lamb mandi was juicy and tender, and the rice was flavourful with bursting spices with each bite. Complimentary mint tea was a nice treat to end the night. Only thing is that the front of the restaurant does not have a sign, which made it hard to identify.

Google
So delicious! The Saudi food here is amazing full of flavor and so fresh! Loved every bite, can’t wait to come back.we ordered mandi, hummus and more

Google
Tucked away from the crowded I-drive this place is exactly what your looking for if you want a home cooked style meal. Big portions I left full with left overs. I had the Mandi Lamb, hummus, basbusa(dessert) and hot tea. They have a cucumber/yogurt sauce was my fav. Will be back again.

Yelp
Good service on a clean and cozy restaurant. We enjoyed the lamb mandi and mint tea after a long drive! Everything was delicious just a bit too much food for us two alone. Wish we lived closer.

Yelp
As much as I was looking forward to international food, I was disappointed when I saw their current menu. It seemed to have gotten a lot smaller and a lot more expensive. Be prepared to be charged an arm and a leg a well. I enjoyed my dish but it wasn't worth the price in my opinion.

Bint H.

Yelp
Their Lamb Mandi and Chicken Shish are absolutely delicious. The rice with the lamb mandi is so flavorful. Chicken shish seems like it was marinated in garlic sauce and both proteins were flavorful and falling apart. I would give this place 6 stars if possible. Makes sense why it has such high reviews.

Yelp
Hidden gem in Orlando. Simple menu, great food, amazing and friendly workers. It seems like the same 3 people are always there. It's like owner/server/cook. So for the average American the service might seem inattentive but you can tell it's just kinda the way it is there and I don't mind at all! Inside is very cozy and you can tell the place is popular with the local community. Lamb and hummus is a must eat! A little pricey but the food is soooo good

Yelp
I was too hungry and the food looked too good to take a picture. We ordered the Lamb Mandi, Chicken Mandi, Shish Chicken, and Beef Kofta. Literally everything was extremely delicious! We came to break our fast for Ramadan so we arrived at 7pm, luckily we came early because by 7 30pm, every seat was taken. The service is great and the ambiance is no frills, just amazing food. It was my first time here and I honestly cannot wait to come here again!

Yelp
Best Saudi food in town. Authentic flavors. Super friendly owners! I used to work here but now I'm a loyal customer. Reasonably priced average of $10-20 per a filling dish, high quality ingredients, super duper clean place!! Definitely recommend!! They have seasonal dishes and menues and cater as well
google avatar

Sam S.

Yelp
Good food, roasted chicken falls off the bone and a fresh clean rice pilaf. Mix it all up and ask for the hot sauce if you like it a bit spicy (not very hot but adds flavor). Restaurant staff its very attentive, will be coming back again!

Yelp
This restaurant is REALLY good. We came in around 6PM and were seated right away, and the waiter took our order in minutes. The menu is limited, which is great because it lets you see what they specialize in. We waited about 15-20 minutes for our food. We got hummus, a lamb mandi, and a chicken mandi to split among 4 people, and it was plenty of food. The meat is so tender and flavorful, and the rice is delicious. The tomato sauce really complements the food well, but I wish they gave you more of it without having to order more. As we ate, it got pretty packed, which was surprising for a weeknight. It was nice to see the restaurant fill up with people from all backgrounds who just appreciate good food. We'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Actually went here by the happiest accident- meant to go next door, and it was closed but world's magic was open and we thought the concept of the restaurant was interesting so we went in and I couldn't be happier that we did. Tables were well-spaced and we were given menus and seated promptly. Interior deco is nice and the overall feel is very bright but without being overlay distracting. Just has a nice open feel. It's worth noting that service here is pretty atypical. From what I could tell, there were only really three people working, and all three were involved in the kitchen including the gentleman who was in charge of hosting. He was in the kitchen helping set plates and also serving and seating folks, so service may not seem attentive like you are used to at typical restaurants but it is friendly and quick, especially considering only three people are present. The menu itself is concise, which I actually like. There are solid options for vegetarians between the main dishes and appetizers. My parents got the okra and gareesh for their mains, and my brother and I had the chicken and lamb Mandi. For our appetizer we had the grape leaves. Starting with the app- grape leaves were amazing. Stuffed to perfection, warm (which was a nice break from the norm of cold grape leaves like you usually see at restaurants. The stuffing was seasoned and cooked well and had a touch of heat which I really liked! The gareesh was amazing. It was creamy and with the addition of the topping, had some nice flavor to it. I am not a huge fan of cracked wheat but my mom loves it and she loved the dish. The okra was also really good! It was cooked really well, and wasn't slimy at all. They cook it with a tomato based sauce which adds some really nice acidity that complements the okra very nicely. The lamb and chicken Mandi were both cooked to perfection (seeing a common theme here?). Literally falling off the bone, both meats were super tender and juicy and they were served on a whole truckload of beautifully seasoned rice. The sauce served with it was a thin tomato sauce, almost like a spicy salsa but with some spices to differentiate it. I thought it was amazing and while the meats didn't need the sauce since they were seasoned and cooked so well, it went amazing with the rice. This was literally some of the best lamb and chicken my brother and I have ever had, and the price point is pretty epic for the amount of food you get. Overall, incredibly happy. We were there at off hours, like 3:00-4:30, and while we were the only ones inside when we got there, people quickly started filing in after us and it was almost full when we left! Love the food, love the pricing. Would definitely come again. This place shines in Orlando, where so many restaurants go for glitz and glamour to attract tourists but lack the quality in their food while charging you an exorbitant price. This truly is magical!

Yelp
Food was delicious staff was amazing beautiful presentation best chicken I ever tasted will be back for sure highly recommend hidden gem

Yelp
Very tasty middle eastern cuisine! Only things lacking on the menu were salads & limited drinks (canned sodas/bottled water only). Mostly likely limited menu in light of Covid? Portions were generous & food didn't take long to come out. Staff was friendly and Casual Atmosphere. Hope more items will be added back to the menu dine in menu. Shopping center in which this restaurant is located is a bit shady & initially caused some skepticism, but we'll likely return for carry out should we get the urge for middle eastern cuisine while Near I drive.

Yelp
Found this restaurant randomly when searching halal food on google maps. Thought we'd give them a try and they didn't disappoint! We got the lamb and chicken. Both were good. The molokhiya was amazing too. Also the spicy side sauce was perfect! Will be back when we're in town again :)

Yelp
First time ever trying Arab food! Found this little hidden spot by I -Drive. The food is very authentic and went for their popular chicken dish. It was flavorful but on the drier side- The Chicken Mandi. The other was more like a soup-dip with nann. Also very interesting. There was def a burst of flavors or spices. Idk if this is for my palette but the place got busier throughout the evening. The place is clean and minimal.
google avatar

Trevis M.

Yelp
Definitely went out of my comfort zone with this restaurant and it's kind of a hidden gem off I drive. From the outside it looks "divy" but inside is pretty clean and modern. Small menu but thats a good thing. They don't serve water but instead water bottles which are extra of course. Careful, they didn't advise us of this however they were only $1 each. Went with the chicken platter which was good but pretty dry. Overall just an okay experience.

Yelp
foods are great and all are clean. Also got nice service highly recommend the lamb set, they are sooo good

Sarah A.

Yelp
The food was okay/mediocre. But we waited for over an hour for the food. No one asked us for drinks. Three different people took our order and the items came not in one go. Would not recommend this place.

James B.

Yelp
Food was not good at all. The lamb dish was at least edible, but the chicken shish, was not. Would not recommend.

Administration T.

Yelp
Great Food , Awesome Service. We ordered the Mandi Lamb and Chicken, Okra and Mulukhia . Everything was super delicious and we over ate.
google avatar

Zarina H.

Yelp
Hospitality is amazing. The food is ok. I give 5 stars for hospitality and kindness. The food presentation is definitely nice . I got two lamb mandis and one kabab platter for my family. The food was mediocre. If you want an experience it definitely is one, but I personally didn't enjoy food quality as it was bland . Nice people .
google avatar

Walid S.

Yelp
Great arabic indo asian fusion varieties. The rice is a base for mist dishes but each is done with a different touch. The meats are mostly lamb that dissolves in your mouth. Very simple decor and service above and beyond.
google avatar

Panno J.

Yelp
Had the below items and loved it: 1) Lamb Mandi(tender and falls off bone) 2) Chicken Kabob (juicy and flavorful) 3) kanafe (felt like it had a little extra of that yum orange stuff we like ;) 4) Tea with mint Everything was excellent and tasted authentic Arab(Saudi?) food. Wish I could give them 4.5 stars but I guess we will have to settle for a solid 4. The staff is lovely once you do get their attention which can be a bit tricky considering how busy they are or they seemed. You won't get waters unless you ask for it, which we did after 20 minutes of sitting down... they stated the water bottles are on the house. The food took less time then they suggested (30 minutes) don't come famished!! It's a relaxed humble ambience and feels like you are sitting at someone's home.

Yelp
Best Arabic food I've ever tried in the US hands down. On top of that, amazing service! The prices were reasonable as well. Food came out quick and hot. The place is very clean. We got the lamb mandi and okra. The lamb was so tender, I was easily cutting it with a plastic spoon! Both dishes were spectacular. Got the kunafa to go, cause I was too full, but so glad I did. It was great!!
google avatar

Carly L.

Yelp
Humble and not-touristy Middle Eastern spot with absolutely delicious meals and great value! The hummus was super creamy and came with lots of warm bread. Every entree (we tried kofta, lamb and rice, and the potatoes) was packed with flavor and came with HUGE portions. I highly recommend the lamb; the meat was so tender, and there was so much of it. The restaurant even gave us cabbage to try on the house, and the staff was so friendly.
google avatar

Karla A.

Yelp
The food was delicious. I had the chicken mandi and it was so tender and flavorful. The rice was perfectly cooked and very tasteful. My sons loved the fish and the chicken kabobs. My husband also loved the lamb mandi. We had the konafa for dessert and it was very good as well. We highly recommend this place. Next time we visit the Orlando area we are definitely coming back
google avatar

Mayada Z.

Yelp
The best Indonesian food in the United States. The Restaurant owned by a Saudi family which make it feels like home. The food was very fresh. It took a lot of time to prepare so be patient :) We order mixed Indonesian for tow ( the big plate in the pic) which includes mix meet and vege. Then an order of den den which is a fried beef with red sause and special flavors. Finally we got the chicken safe which was very tender and Yammy. Must of the dishes made with peanuts so if you have any allergies don't forget to read the menu carefully. The kenafa is good as a sweet to get a full Saudi/Indonesian experience in Orlando:)
google avatar

Rayan B.

Yelp
This is the best Arabian food I've ever had in the United States, it tastes exactly like how it did in Saudi Arabia. And not only does it taste similar to what's there but it taste like one of the better places in Saudi Arabia. This place is really a hidden gem and grossly underrated
google avatar

Lu A.

Yelp
Im giving this place 5 stars because the food was finger licking good. Coming from someone who has been to Saudi, this place was fire. I just want to warn customers that this isn't fine dinning and they gave us paper plates and plastic spoons that appears to be from costco or sams club. That was okay for us because the food more than made up for this. I wish we remembered to take a picture but we inhaled the plates. We ordered the hummus, grape leaves, chicken mendi, lamb mendi, and chicken kabob. My favorite was the rice that came with the mendi and the grape leaves. The chicken kabob came with basic white Arabic rice with the noodles (not my fav), I would sub it for the mendi rice next time. Me and my family live in Miami and will be coming back every time I visit Orlando.

Arshiya S.

Yelp
We found this place on yelp while visiting Orlando. Looks like it's a local hangout spot for men because there were so many when we got there. Food was pretty good. It's interesting how the menu is Asian and Arabic. We tried some Indonesian plate for two and lamb mandi. Mandi Was flavorful and the rice that came with it was ok too. Hubby and my daughter enjoyed their food. Took one star away from this place because the owner, I assume, was going to tables with foreigners (not Asian or middle eastern) and really kissing ass lol if you know what I mean but totally ignored our table and another family.
google avatar

Josh V.

Yelp
We are always on the lookout for a good place to have Mediterranean cuisine and we found one in Orlando. Worlds Magic Restaurant sounds like you will be treated to a magic show with your meal; that's not the case. What you will be treated to is a restaurant that serves delicious food and great friendly service. I guarantee that you will make your meal disappear when you eat here. Ha!
google avatar

Aseil E.

Yelp
Server refused to put two tables together to accommodate our party of 9. There were at least 2 other tables setup that way. The rude tone made it difficult to consider dinning.
google avatar

Sufian S.

Yelp
The food was delicious The quantity is really good and the service was great I advise people to try it

Mathew L.

Yelp
Really enjoyed this Saudi Arabian meal! The lamb was perfectly tender and the hummus was super smooth. The semolina cake dessert thing was also delicious. The staff was super friendly as well! Will come back to try the chicken (which looked and smelled amazing)

Jennifer W.

Yelp
Delicious family food in a welcoming atmosphere:). Full of local folks. The lamb was particularly delicious. Thanks for an excellent meal.
google avatar

Sumaya E.

Yelp
The food here is wonderful. We ate here on our five day trip. We attempted to go to other places but always ending up back here. It felt like home and the food was as close and as good as homemade. The people who run the place are so pleasant and wonderful. Very patient with kids. Again the dessert was delicious. I would highly recommend this place for happy family friendly dinners.
google avatar

Sanad A.

Yelp
I absolutely love this place. I was craving authentic Middle Eastern food, and this place just hit the right spot. The place is easy to find. The ambience is pretty cool, clean and special. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food is of excellent quality. Fresh. Delicious. I ordered the beef mandi. It is to die for because how good it is. They are very accommodating. Initially it was not crowded but slowly towards dinner time, families and couples started showing up and the place filled up. It a must try place in Orlando.

Yelp
Amazing restaurant! Awesome customer service and the food was delicious- reminded me of my childhood! Went out of my way to download Yelp to leave a review

Yelp
Great taste, great portions, great prices! I got the mandi lamb, the meat was really tender and everything was spiced to perfection.

Yelp
We headed here for dinner a week ago, and initially almost changed our minds when the host informed us they were only serving a buffet instead of the regular menu. Another customer, who was picking up take-out, actually called us over in the parking lot on our way out and told us we needed to head back in there and try it out. He said it was more like a set menu, completely worth it, and we would love it. He totally sold it, and we are so grateful for his kind and helpful words, as well as the amazing gesture he made in paying for our meal! Thank you, sir. :) (The host then informed our uncultured selves they do a buffet every year during Ramadan, and because of COVID it was a set menu this year.) The waiter started bringing out dishes of food for us and explaining what things were. There were small pastries filled with meats and veggies, chicken shawarma(?) in little wraps, baked pasta, lentil soup, and a giant helping of delicious rice and chicken seasoned with warming spices. Everything was absolutely delightful, and the staff was friendly and helpful. They suggested we try an Arabic beverage called Vimto; I know he told me it was raspberries, but I thought it tasted very butterscotchy!! The bottom line: we highly recommend this restaurant and hope to sometime be able to try their full menu!

Yelp
Orlando is a place filled with every chain restaurant known to man. Thank goodness for Worlds Magic Restaurant. It bills itself as an Indonesian Arabic restaurant. I was concerned that the only review from a fellow Indonesian warned against eating here. However, ethnic food is routinely toned down for American consumption. I'm glad I decided to eat there. The menu is filled with familiar Indonesian dishes. There's even a "combination plate" with small portions of popular dishes. I was going to order it, and my waiter felt it's a great way to have a variety of foods. However, he suggested I order the Arabic Lamb Specialty that was not on the menu. I have had Indonesian food in New York and where I live. How often does one get the opportunity to eat Arabic food? It was an easy decision. I was expecting grilled lamb similar to Lebanese food over steamed rice. What I got was lamb and rice cooked in an underground oven. The waiter said it gave the rice its slightly smoky flavor. I couldn't identify several spices used, but I can attest the result was outstanding. The lamb was soft tender and flavorful. The rice was typical very long grain rice. It has a subtle flavor that compliments the lamb. It was served with a tomato based sauce on the side. The sauce was too spicy for my taste but probably mild on the Indonesian hot scale. I felt it overwhelmed the complex seasoning of the lamb. The lamb was too good to hide its virtues with any sauce no matter how good the sauce may be. Truly an exceptional meal. I again trusted the waiter with the dessert. It was an orange colored cheese dish. The waiter told me to stop playing with my phone and eat it before it got cold. Love the guy. I'm not sure what was in it except some pistachios, but it was a wonderful new experience. Needless to say, my waiter was great! I like people who are proud of their food and not afraid to push what's best. The waiter gave me the dessert with his compliments. He refused my offer to pay for it. If you're in Orlando to visit Mickey Mouse, skip the resort and chain restaurants. Experience something new and wonderful at Worlds Magic Restaurant!

Amoon M.

Yelp
We were visiting from California and decided to try this place out. The food was delicious, restaurant was clean, service was quick and very nice server. I highly recommend trying this place out. The Mandi is authentic and tasty highly recommended you try that one. We also ordered chicken shawarma and hummus which where good as-well.
google avatar

Loubna O.

Yelp
Very clean and professional service! We enjoyed our meal. They were able to serve family style dining at affordable prices
google avatar

Roxy A.

Yelp
This place is really good, very flavor and what I ordered comes sizzling. The staff is very nice, I'd give it 5 stars except I assumed a Middle Eastern place would have larger portions that you can share and be full-er from. It's a great, clean, Halal restaurant. Highly recommend!

Darryl L I.

Yelp
Food was authentically good and service was welcoming and hospitable. Very enjoyable.
google avatar

Hadi R.

Yelp
Great spot! Definitely recommend it if you want some authentic Saudi Arabian food. A little bummed they don't do Indonesian food but other than that definitely recommend it. Worth the 20-25 minute drive tbh. Hopefully gonna come back soon.
google avatar

Sabbir M.

Yelp
First off, the beef randang was really good. However, the mixed platter for 2 was lackluster. Pretty high price for rice, an egg, a bunch of random vegetables, and for some reason pasta in red sauce? Would not recommend that dish. The other things on the menu seemed interesting but we didn't get to try it. The reason I marked this down is because we asked for peanut sauce when we ordered, reminded them for it when they forgot it when they brought the food, and received the sauce at the end of the meal after we finished eating. The food took almost 30-40 minutes to come out even though we were the second group to enter the restaurant.

Muhammad A.

Yelp
Worst customer service ever. Don't go there. Save your time and energy. Food is also below average.

Humers S.

Yelp
We ordered mandi chicken, mandi lamb, chicken shish, and beef kofta, and hummus. The food was flavorful and juicy. The dessert basbousa was delicious along with their mint tea. Basim was very kind to our family.
google avatar

Sameer K.

Yelp
It was great food home made with a love, you will feel that when you eat this food, if you want to see a combination between East of Asia and a Middle East, Also how love to try a different test of food I will recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
The service is amazing. Clean place. Appealing to the eye. The meat and chicken mandi is a must to try. Pleasant servers and owners.
