"Wurstbar serves fried cheese curds, poutine, and sausages topped with spicy chicken skins or ricotta and mayo. In other words, when you order delivery from this downtown bar, you should already be halfway through a stein of beer." - matt tervooren
"You don’t need a reservation to eat poutine sausage or a fried chicken sandwich on the outdoor patio at Wurstbar. All you have to do is show up anytime after 12pm and choose a cider to drink with your meal. Stay updated on their outdoor dining specials by following their Instagram." - hannah albertine, nikko duren, matt tervooren
"The menu at this fun-filled spot isn’t limited to German influences as the sausage menu runs to kielbasa, chorizo, and a hot dog dressed with bulgogi. In similar fashion, the sprawling burger menu offers a Swiss cheese number with mushrooms and a rodeo burger with barbecue sauce before giving way to a chicken sandwich roster, including one featuring a Nashville hot chicken cutlet. Finally, there are fries and poutines channeling Buffalo, Philadelphia, and India. The beer and cider list, however, is mainly German and Jerseyan." - Viktoria Muench
"We used to want to spend snow days sledding and pouring snow down the inside of people’s jackets. Now we want to spend them at Wurstbar in downtown Jersey City. The long, narrow space feels like a middle-ground between a bar and biergarten, and it’s a great spot to come with a group and spend a few hours ordering from the long lists of ciders, poutines, and sausages - like our favorite that’s topped with roasted pork and char siu sauce." - Matt Tervooren
"A casual, beer-forward spot best known for sausages and hearty pub-style fare paired with a good beer selection." - Annie Fitzsimmons
