Great Ambiance inside with a wine cellar nice bar area and indoor seating. They updated the outdoor seating which was reserved for a private event when we came. Everything we had to eat was great, I would have just liked to have had more vegetarian options on the menu.

Good food, good service in a nice atmosphere it has a $35.00 menu during weekdays I believe is until 3:00 PM

I sat at the bar and the ambiance was excellent from the moment I walked in. Special shout out to Christian, the bartender, who took such great care of us and made the experience feel personal. The food was amazing and the drinks were superb. What was meant to be a quick outing turned into something so very special. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend.

So the place is beautiful and the service was top notch. But the food. Was tasteless. No salt whatsoever. There was no taste in anything we tried. The desert was a piece of tasteless French toast 😩

This is the place to have Spanish tapas in Miami. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Outside looked like a great time, there was live music. They have a large menu with plenty of choices. Great selection of wine. We did a pitcher of sangria which turned out to be a great choice for us. We ordered a couple tapas and the Fideua Marinera. Perfect to split for two to three people depending on how many tapas you order. The stand out for us was the Alcachofas con foie grass.

We went there fora happy hour to celebrate my birthday and this place exceeded my expectations. The food was delicious, the happy hour drinks super good and the service outstanding. Armandito our server was super friendly and give us good food recommendation. We will come back again for sure and I will recommend this place 100%

Second time at Xixon! Life show was above and beyond. Great musicians, excellent repertory and the atmosphere was amazing. Everyone loved the food. It was a busy night that’s probably why we had a long wait to be served and order wasn’t complete. We never got the salt and dressing for the salad but we could understand. The only thing I was a little confused was there’s a fee per person for the show, it should be advised in advance but I am ok with that as well because as I said musicians are amazing but I didn’t understand so much the service fee of $101.00 we were charged. Was it the tip or another extra charge which is coming out of the blue? Not complaining just wanted to understand things a little better. It was a great night though.

I just had my office End of Year Luncheon at Xixon (for the second year) and everything was perfect. Service by Estefania and Henry was amazing. The food was excellent! Thank you, guys. See you soon! 😍

Great place for original Spanish food. The service is always great but the paella is to die for.

The paella was terrible super salty. The tórrida had no flavor. Boquerón and croquetas were good. Service was okay. They charge $5 pp for bread and it average at best. Overall not the best option for Spanish food.

Four of us went on Sunday evening, April 21st. Once upon a time Xixon was a favorite of ours but not at present, disappointed. The Foie Gras appetizer was very good, but the Arroz Negro was rather awful. Was heavy on squid and literally just couple of shrimp even though labeled as having various seafood. In particular the squid ink was maybe watered down and way too much, just not a dish to repeat. The "garbanzos fritos" was so-so, and the dessert "crema catalana" was average. We did like our wine selection thankfully considering we spent too much overall for the quality of the dinner. Probably don't go on a Sunday as not sure who was in the kitchen.

The best Spanish restaurant in Miami! We recently celebrated a friend's birthday at Xixón Spanish Restaurant and opted to sit upstairs, which provided a cozy and intimate ambiance for our gathering. From the moment we stepped in, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring that every aspect of our dining experience was top-notch. The atmosphere was lively yet relaxed, perfect for a celebratory occasion. Now, onto the food - it was absolutely divine! We indulged in a variety of tapas, which were all delicious. The paella was a definite highlight, cooked to perfection with an irresistible blend of seafood. To complement the meal, we indulged in a selection of Spanish wines recommended by our knowledgeable server. The pairing was spot-on, enhancing the overall dining experience. We left with happy hearts and full stomachs, eager to return for another celebration soon!

A surprisingly great dining experience for a last minute large group dinner! My friend's intended birthday venue didn't have enough space for the group, so she spoke to Xixón who were able to prepare a very large table on the second floor. Our server Carlos did a fantastic job getting everyone's orders correctly, opening and serving what seemed like 5-6 bottles of wine attentively to those who were drinking it, and processing multiple bills without issues. When I asked about the Virgin Xixón, he said it was very good because it had fresh fruit juices. He was right: the Virgin Xixón was surprisingly delightful in appearance, with orange juice, pineapple juice layered under strawberry juice. All the juices tasted freshly squeezed, cutely finished with a slice of orange and strawberry. The large size of the glass meant I could keep sipping the glass and have plenty of the drink for the meal. I would have the drink again if I went back while keeping alcohol free! The tapas menu is huge and I'm here for it. There's no way you won't find something that'll work for you, unless you have the unfortunate condition of disliking seafood, beef, ham, potatoes, eggs. We shared a couple tapas and both were cooked freshly and seasoned well. The Carrillera De Buey Al Vino Tinto (beef cheeks in red wine) was so tender and delightful. It did look a little funny because it came under a full layer of fries (crunchy breaded fries, by the way). We couldn't see the bed cheek and had to move the fries for the photo hahaha. The Buñuelos De Bacalao (cod fish fritters) were perfectly crispy and bite sized to pop in the mouth while waiting for the entrees. Many of my friends got steaks, which they all liked, but I got the Fabada Asturiana, a white bean stew with jamon, chorizo and morcilla. It's a Chef Special item that's only offered on Saturdays, and lucky for me, we were there on a Saturday. It was seasoned with just the proper amount of salt, considering the cured meats that were included in the stew, and the thickness of the white bean kept the dish hot and so comforting for a seasonally chilly January night. I took a third of it home and equally enjoyed it later. The one problem I have is that their menu is so big that I'll have to return a few more times to try everything I'm interested in! I'm eyeing their happy hour on Mondays-Thursdays and will go back!

We had a last minute restaurant change for a friend's birthday dinner and Xixon was able to accommodate our large party on a Saturday night! We were seated upstairs where we had the area to ourselves which was nice! The staff was super friendly and Carlos was our waiter! He was incredibly attentive and had great recommendations. We ordered two appetizers to share and I really enjoyed the beef cheeks! It was so tender and delicious! As my main entree I ordered the beef tenderloin rare. The tenderloin was okay but I think it was missing some salt! Overall I had a great experience and would come back!

I came here for my final meal before leaving Miami and it was absolutely scrumptious! The service was wonderful - our waiter was very attentive and kind. Now onto the food... the shrimp with garlic appetizer was to die for. Although the portion looked small - the flavors were so concentrated and amazing. The shrimp was fresh and juicy. We waited around 30 minutes for the paella which was what the menu said the cooking time would be. It was a humongous portion loaded with huge grains of Spanish rice, tons of calamari, clams, muscles and langostino. The flavor was very rich and well seasoned. I'd definitely recommend this restaurant!

Great little spot. Sitting outside made such a difference, loved the ambiance and music. The service was great, the staff was friendly, offered recommendations, and were attentive at all times. The food was great, we only order tapas. We order the croquetas, so good. The huevos rotos were great, truly loved the fries. Almost order a paella but between all the tapas there was no room. It's probably more like a 3.5 stars, but service had a few missed points. Appetizers were a bit better than last time... Croquettes are pretty good and very flavourful. Pulpo a la gallega could improve, and callos a la Madrileña need a lot of work. Very bland and liquidity. The black rice with squid and shrimp was ok... nothing memorable but good. Probably the best thing we ate was the Dorada a la sal. Nicely cooked and seasoning was on point. Prices are reasonable, and ambiance is good. Live music at outdoor dining area on weekends make this an option for those who want more than just dinner.

The two stars are for the magnificent Bolero singer guitar player and dancer this weekend evening. We ordered the "Paella Mixta" that was SUPPOSED to have "meat and seafood" in it. However it arrived as an Easter egg hunt. ZERO seafood other than some left-over centimeters bits of calamari and a few clam shells floating around. The ONLY meat in the entire skillet for six SUCKERS was some chewy little niblets of dried-up chicken breast. WHAT A Fricking INSULT. The rice was colorful but that was a trick on the eyes because the mouth tasted NOTHING BUT OIL. In summary, you'd be better off ordering a special fried rice from your local Chinese takeout place for 15 bucks and watching Flamenco on YouTube. Kick your feet up on the table and chuckle at the grift you avoided here. Because this place is taking you and your wallet for a ride. seriously, I don't think they even have seafood or "meat" anywhere on the premises. The server was nice, kind of. FYI: They added 10$ PER PERSON TO OUR BILL FOR "watching the live music/dancer". No warning in advance or when making a reservation. Never in my life have I seen this anywhere.

Went out with my mom and cousin this past weekend . We decided on a little neighborhood gem. Xixon, an authentic Spanish restaurant in the Shenandoah neighborhood. It was a beautiful night and we sat outdoors. They had a wonderful Flamenco show for the evening to enjoy with our meal. We shared a charcuterie board, cod fish croquettes, a paella and topped it off with torrejas (Spanish French toast soaked in sweet cream) accompanied with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. It was just enough for all three and it was excellent!

Came here for lunch and really loved the vibe of this place . Had a couple tapas , and really loved the drinks , the service and the food as well . We sat outside , which has a great ambiance , very fresh , and they had a soccer game playing on the projector which was nice as well . Total recommend

This place is the closer Spanish food that I have tried in Miami. We ordered croquetas de bacalao, croquetas de jamón serrano, patatas bravas, chistorras al vino blanco y arroz negro con gambas y calamares y cochinillo asado a la segoviana. Croquetas were really good and tasty and the chistorras were amazing but the the arroz negro with gambas was the winner. Simply fantastic and 100% recommended. The minimum order is for 2 people. We made the mistake to order it even the server told us that would be a lot of food combined with all other things that I mentioned before. Anyways, we took the left overs for home. The only one that should improve is the cochinillo. Our plate had a lot of bones and fat with some little pieces of meat. The service was really good, timely, informative and efficient. The ambiance is very nice also. Once you are inside, it seems like you are in Spain. They have live music and flamenco on Fridays. We finished with a dessert wine (Pedro Jimenez, of course) that was great also.

Went on Saturday with a large group/birthday dinner and they were really great to accommodate us last minute. Service was good. Food was hit or miss. Seafood paella for 2 was $60 and didn't have enough fresh seafood. The porterhouse steaks, tortilla española, croquetas and soups (lentils and calabaza) were good. Parking valet or on the street is available. Overall, we had a great time.

My boyfriend and I have visited xixon about three times, and if that doesn't say something about the food service and ambiance, I don't know what does. First, the bacon-wrapped dates from this location are phenomenal. We order them every time. Their sangria is fresh and easy to take. The food is reasonably priced, and the atmosphere is cozy and private. The service has always been welcoming and relaxed, as well as professional. What's not to like? 10/10 would recommend this tapas restaurant to others. See you there next time!

My gripe with Xixon is the service more than anything. We came here for a birthday dinner and I made reservations a week in advance. Side note, parking options are limited to street parking or valet. When we got inside the hostess asked me if We wanted to see the show but we opted not to. She then proceeded to ask whether we wanted to sit in the bottom bar area or the upstairs area. There were tables open in the main dining room area which is 100 times nicer than either of the areas she offered us, but because it was our first time here we were thrown off and went with the upstairs area after taking a peek at the downstairs bar area (it's not very cute). Once seated, our waiter came by a few times to get drinks and tapa/entree orders. We ordered a bottle (or two) of a Spanish red which he recommended and it was tasty. We then ordered a bunch of tapas, most notable were the pulpo a la gallega and the chistorras. For mains we ordered a 4-person seafood paella, and it was probably the best paella I've had in Miami. The food was very similar in taste to the food in Spain. I found the prices to be a little high, but we are in Miami and Spanish food here comes at a cost. All in all, I likely would come back BUT insist on sitting in the main dining area.

This place has been here forever and forever. They have been doing a great job. Every single thing we ordered was absolutely delicious. We ordered a carafe of sangria and two amazing desserts (crema catalán and something else that had me wanting more). We started out having. Garbanzos Fritos, pulpo a la gallega, multiple croqueta orders and dátiles wrapped with bacon. Everything was amazing. We never had an entrée because we kept ordering appetizers/tapas. You need to go here. And it's five blocks from my house.

I was in Miami this past December for Art Basel. While there, I had the opportunity to eat some truly delicious and authentic food. My favorite spot during my entire trip had to have been XIXÓN Spanish Restaurant. My friends and I opted to sit on the back patio, which was very open and had a relaxing breeze. While we didn't smoke, it's perfect if you do want to smoke a cigar, or for an outing with a large group of friends to watch TV on the large monitors. If you're bothered by smoking or large groups, I'd recommend eating inside. We ordered the following dishes to share amongst the three of us: -Gambas & Gulas Al Ajillo - sizzling shrimps & baby eels sautéed in garlic sauce -Paella de Mariscos con Bogavante: shrimps, clams, mussels, squid, and Maine lobster paella Both dishes were beautifully presented and incredibly flavorful, and we still had some food leftover. Such generous portions! Not to mention, the restaurant itself had such an authentic feel to it and the service was amazing too. I wish I had gotten our server's name, she was very helpful. Truly a must visit if you're ever in Miami!!!!

This place is a solid 3 stars, so don't hesitate to try it. There was a decent crowd for Friday night. It has a live Flamenco show on the terrace that has an extra cost. The show is not really a flamenco show but it is entertaining. Maybe some flamenco dancers would enhance it. The food is good in general , with ups and downs. The cochinillo confitado was amazing. I will go back just for that. The cod was very good too. The sides for both dishes were right on point. Unfortunately the tapas were not as good. The cod filled ajíes and the meatballs were just average . The pumpkin soup was very tasty. The Tarta Santiago with turrón ice cream and cava sangria are better avoided. The service was ok, they were very nice , even though our server disappeared from time to time and I had to chase her inside to order a couple of times.

Awesome place for high end tapas, and food. Amazing wine selection for all types of wine lovers! The service is really good, we were a table of 8 people dining and we were treated royally. Save some space for desserts!

The food was ok; the service not so much. If I had gone there with someone who didn't speak Spanish, we would walk out. From the moment the waitress greeted us at the door to the moment we ordered the food, the waitress spoke Spanish with my husband, totally ignoring me. I don't speak Spanish so I couldn't communicate back as she asked questions (to my husband) and then walked away. She put the menu on top of my silverware in a very dismissive way. How many people have held that menu? The cover was dirty. The pages of the menu are coming undone and some were dirty with smears of food. The waitress spent an enormous amount of time talking to friends and co-workers across the restaurant. By the time she served my wine, I was nearly done with my meal. To top it off, 18% gratuity was automatically included in the final bill. I understand that practice to be done to a large group but it was just my husband and I. We felt that we were being pre-judged because we were not "elegantly" dressed since we were running some errands and decided to stop for some tapas and drinks. Maybe because we were dressed in simpler clothes the waitress thought we wouldn't pay gratuity? Rude! We have spent much more than $150 in a meal and we normally tip better than 18%. We won't come back.

This place has always been a staple in my life! I have been going for years with friends and family for celebrations or just a regular night. Everything is pretty consistent including that the food can sometimes be a LITTLE too salty sometimes. I'm not a huge salt girl so maybe for some people it works

After a long drive to Miami, we were hungry and craving paella. Found this place that had a lot of reviews. We ordered to go. Had to find street parking here. There is definitely a bit of a language barrier, I wish I remembered something from my Spanish classes in school, so I could understand and communicate better. But I will learn for next time. It was pretty pricey for one dish but YOLO. Paella de Mariscos for two people: it was a lot of food, could feed more than two people and we did not finish it. I liked it, had a lot of flavor and I love seafood. He did not care for it so I had to eat it solo. Jamon, Manchego, Chorizo: came vacuumed sealed which was great. This was sooo good. Greasy yes. Great with some wine. Flan: oh my goodness this was so yummy. Thick and creamy.

I visited for a birthday party with several guests so we had the upstairs reserved. While the upstairs was under renovations, that did not take away from the experience. The service was really good considering how large our party was. Also, the food was truly amazing - and my mom is born & raised in Spain so I am PICKY when it comes to Spanish food. All of the appetizers we had were great (ensaladilla rusa, garbanzos, croquetas, tortilla) - I was truly impressed. & for the entree I had the mahi - also very good! They had a little shop inside the restaurant too & I purchased some chestnut honey & nocilla - such a fun touch to a restaurant!

Ordered the Marisco Paella (what a wrong choice) the paella hardly had any fish, I counted 3 shrimp, lots and lots of squid rings and they served a whole lobster without cleaning it. It was gross. Some of the hot tapas are overly priced. I do not recommend this restaurant at all. Won't be going back anytime soon.

La comida es buena pero el servicio es horrible. Yo nunca hago críticas de los restaurantes pero este merecía la pena porque si vas a pagar más de $300 por lo menos que te den agua. Tomo 1 hora y levantar la mano para que nos trajeran un vaso de agua. Y eso es solo un ejemplo. Deberían preocuparse más por el servicio al cliente que es igual de importante que la comida.

Spanish cuisine is my favorite cuisine and I literally love everything that comes or is about Spain. Went there few days ago around 7pm, it was Monday I believe and the moment you enter indoor you can feel that taste of Spain, it's everywhere, on the floor, on the ceilings, walls, you have tasting room with wooden barrels inside, you have to fell in love with that. Place was pretty empty at the time, but with getting older that's the atmosphere I enjoy more and more. Hostess was warm and polite, server as well. He politely explained wine specials so fun could start. Everything we ordered was delicious, gulas al ajillo, queso de cabra en salsa de piquillos, paella and artichokes with black truffle, both bringing dead back to life, outstanding, local, authentic, seasoned, full of flavors, delicious, we both loved it! Combined with nice and smooth, earthy Ribera Del Duero heaven was just there, you could almost touch it. Service was laid back, everything came within reasonable time, waiter was always there when needed and making sure that everything is ok, we both really enjoyed and we will both recommend Xixon as a fine, relaxed and authentic northern part of Spain establishment.

Really terrific had a great time celebrating a birthday the staff was courteous and super efficient the food was really fresh and well presented and the flamenco group playing that night rounded out the great evening! Definitely recommend

I've heard such great things about this place for years, but sadly they nickle- and-dime you without you knowing. They charged for bread, gave us bottled water without us knowing and charged us $7 per bottle, then sat us outside without telling us they would charge us $10 per person for the live music. Service was pretty bad and we had to ask for everything. Food was okay. Sadly won't be coming back here.

This place has the best paella and tapas in town. We have visited this restaurant many times and the food is always delicious. We generally order some tapas like frituras de bacalao, pan con tomate and jamón serrano, and boquerones a la vinagreta. For entree, we usually have the paella a la marinera. It is always made to order and flavorful. This is one of our favorite places, make sure you have a reservation on the weekends.

Es mi segunda vez en este restaurante y me sentí completamente fatal, el servicio del camarero fue pésimo, solo con la justificación de que el restaurante estaba lleno no es motivo para su mala atención, la comida estuvo buena pero a la vez le faltaban platos, incluso tuvimos que cancelar uno porque ya habíamos terminado y aún no llegaba, aún así el camarero se dirigio con mala forma hacia mi cuando se lo pedí. La verdad me sentí fatal, crearon un ambiente muy pesado y tenso.

La mejor comida española que eh probado en mucho tiempo y el servicio inmejorable !!! Gracias por la atención !!!

What a great place to come a have a good time. The restaurant has a cover patio and it's dog friendly. The food is just great and prices just right. I would recommend the artichokes and foie gras dish. It's out of this world. Carlos was my server. He is very knowledgeable and very helpful. Look forward to comeback to this place soon.

The food was horrible, the show was okay but not a flamenco show , the service was good and good ambience. Sincerely first Spanish restaurant that not even the appetizers were good . The place is pretty and super cozy but I didn't recommend.

Reserve a table on the outside to be able to enjoy the flamenco show, the show was entertaining, although without dancing, it was only a group singing. The attention in the restaurant was terrible, no waiter was aware of what we needed and it took a long time to answer. The food was acceptable and tasted good. Some dishes were cold due to the delay but in general they could be eaten.

Totally going back to Xixón as soon as possible! I went for a girls night and was very impressed. We went during happy hour which was 2 for 1 wines and ended up staying late. The atmosphere is traditional and a bit upscale and the waiter we had (I wish I remembered his name!) was so helpful and funny. He made recommendations and would joke with us each time he came around. The food was crazy good. We got the serrano ham and it was plentiful! We also had the beef cheeks which were incredibly tender, the anchovies paired well with the serrano ham and we had the chorizo as well. So freaking yummy!!

Went to happy hour with the bestie and it was a wonderful time! All tapas were so tasty and paired perfectly with wine

this restaurant was really good in the past years, but not anymore. the place has new owners and new chef. What used to be a great restaurant with delicious food has become a disaster. Don't go, don't waste your money. Stay away!!

I loved the outdoor patio ambience. The service is amazing and they do not rush you, but encourage to relax and enjoy the food. It is like going to hang out at someone's home. The place is great for a group luncheon. We had a fabulous waiter and the food was delicious. Everything I tasted had amazing flavor. I look forward to going back for authentic Spanish food.

Loved the ambience, quant restaurant with a market attached. They had a huge selection of wines and Spanish meats. Their outdoor seating was decorated with cool lights and plants. Super cute spot for a late bite or dinner with friends. There is also valet for $8 which is helpful because the parking is eh 3 stars is a fair rating based on the food we sampled. Mostly everything was good, with some wow items. My favs? The Gulas (eels) al ajillo. Wow! The texture was a nice surprised, soft almost like pasta. The garlic spice was a nice treat and it was drenched in delicious olive oil. I had this with several slices of bread haha The grilled octopus was a nice second, but I think it needed maybe another 30 seconds on the grill. There were some pieces that were too soft. I know these needs to be cooked with care to get the texture right, but they shouldn't be soft to where you're tasting mush. Idk, my best friend said they were fine. Flavor was good though! The BUNUELOS DE BACALAO were not good. They had very little bacalao in them and it was kind of dry. The aioli they served it with helped, but I was disappointed. I won't order these again. Maybe I'm spoiled from the homemade ones my dad makes lol The paella was not the best. It was bland for me, however it was packed with seafood. The chicken breast was a tad on the dry side. I did really enjoy the FIDEUA A LA MARINERA, gosh this was tasty!! The flavor was perfect, lots of seafood, mussels, clams, shrimp, calamari ughh so good! There were also a few toasted morsels of fideo which is always a treat. Got to have my crunch! Shall I return?? Yes! The service was fantastic and their menu offers a variety of dishes

We went to xixon to celebrate my birthday. I used to be a regular when I worked in Coral Gables 14 years ago and I was positively surprised by their new location since I never came back since then. The wine selection is incredible and the food was excellent. We had a variety of tapas, Paella and Cochinillo asado a la Segoviana. Everything was great. The service was very good, the servers were very friendly and on top of everything. We will be coming again.

Good place for authentic Spanish dishes, share food and drinks with friends. The ambience is a bit old-fashioned and the food may seem a bit greasy for some, but flavors are good and a very varied menu for any occasion. Service was good as well.

I've been to this restaurant a few times now and it never disappoints. Service always on point, food exquisitely done and delicious, and now you can enjoy a live show. They have the best croquetas in Dade county. Great place to celebrate important occasions with your love ones. One of the best or may be the best Spaniard restaurant in town.

The food was ok, nothing special but OK. Covid related it is not very safe, the tables are too close to each other, when we were half in our dining they seated 4 people almost in our table, that's how close they were.... so we eat as fast as we could and we took almost all to go The service is not slow, but they are not nice, they nearly looked at us, when you ask for something you see they are not happy that you are making them work. We had: -Croquetas (good but the flavor was nothing special) -Fabada -Camarones al ajillo -Patatas bravas (this are not good? Just regular baked potatoes with a side sauce with tomato...DONT ORDER IT) My husband had a Sangria he said it was good. We didn't as for dessert as we almost ran out of the restaurant for our life's . But they looked very good Parking: There is no parking for the restaurant, you have to PayByPhone or valet.... Note: the bathroom is very disgusting!!! It smells like sewers . (Not dirty, just smells terrible)
