Bf and I are regulars of the Plano location and happened to be in the area to try this one tonight. While there were some minor differences, overall the quality here was the same and you really can’t go wrong with it. $15/lb and I NEVER need more than .75 lb to fill me. You choose absolutely everything that goes in it so everything down to the taste and amount is specific to you (you fill a bowl with raw ingredients and it gets boiled into a broth of your choice for you). All of it is fresh and healthy. The Plano location does have way more soup options (I love the mushroom, but this one only had tomato!) but I’d say this location has more topping options. I’m a spice baby, so get the tomato soup here if you’re weak to spice like me. A great concept as always!

Google
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I think this is our fave hot pot place so far! Upon entering, someone will ask how many are in your party and tell you a table number for you to sit at. Then you’ll grab an empty clear bowl and tongs and add as much veggies, meats/toppings as you like! They’ll weigh it for you when you’re done adding things and ask if you’d like the hot soup or dry mix. I believe the spice level is from 1 to 5. My husband and I both got 1 because we can’t handle spice. In our opinion, it is still super flavorful even at a 1. 😊 You will then be given a keychain with a number on it and they’ll take your clear bowls into the back and bring it out to you when it’s ready. In the meantime, you can make your sauce mixture. An assortment of drinks are in a refrigerator next to the cashier if you want something else other than water. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal! The soup is like a warm hug and it’s delicious. We like that we can control the portion at the beginning too. It’s priced reasonably and the staff here is super friendly. We will absolutely be back here again!

Yin Tang Hotpot is hands down one of the best hotpot experiences I’ve ever had! From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted and seated right away. The customer service was top-notch—fast, friendly, and attentive. The staff was always available to help, making sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. The highlight of the experience was definitely the food. The build-your-own hotpot concept is perfect for customizing your meal to your liking. At just $14.99 per pound, it’s an amazing value for the quality you get. The soup base was rich, flavorful, and paired perfectly with all the fresh ingredients. The meat was cooked to perfection—tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The seafood, vegetables, and noodles were all incredibly fresh, and it was clear that great care was taken in selecting high-quality ingredients. Beyond the food, the restaurant itself was exceptionally clean and well-organized. The self-serve setup made it easy to pick exactly what you wanted, and everything was clearly labeled and neatly arranged. The atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. Yin Tang Hotpot exceeded all expectations. Whether you’re a hotpot lover or trying it for the first time, this is the perfect place to enjoy a delicious and interactive meal. With its outstanding service, fresh ingredients, and unbeatable value, I will definitely be coming back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic hotpot experience!

Google
This was a really good restaurant. Lots of choices to add into your hotpot. I was craving some good Asian food and it hit the spot. Service was great. I drink a lot of water at restaurants and they were super attentive with filling my water without me ever asking. The inside of the Restaurant wasn’t bad looking either. Def going back and would recommend.

Google
Pretty solidly good. It is actually not that spicy, so even though I get a three out of four it is less spicy than you think. I love that they have a sauce bar.

Google
A fantastic dining experience! The food was incredibly flavorful, and each course exceeded my expectations. The service was impeccable, with the staff being both knowledgeable and prompt. I’ll definitely be coming back for more!

It was our first time trying hot pot and it was amazing. We loved the overall process and the food and service. It’s all worth it and a wonderful experience for our family

Google
The food here is always amazing — consistently fresh, flavorful, and comforting. I used to come almost every single day because it never disappointed. It’s one of those rare places where you can count on the quality to be the same each time, and that kind of consistency really stands out. If they opened at 11 AM, I’d honestly be back to eating here daily again without hesitation. It’s just that good. Whether I’m grabbing a quick lunch or sitting down for a relaxed meal, this spot has always hit the mark for me. Can’t recommend it enough to anyone who hasn’t tried it yet — you’re seriously missing out!

Yelp
Yes, yes and yes! I love this place. It's not like the typical haidilao/little sheep hot pot flavors but it is delicious in its own right! This is a great way to only eat what you pick because they charge by weight- it can get pricey quick but it's worth it. This is how I can eat lots of veggies! Taste: 10/10- you pick the ingredients and it is what you make it but I love whatever I put together! The broth is so so tasty and the meat is fresh and juicy. Interior: 6/10 - clean but super crowded and gets packed hard to move around

Yelp
For whatever reason, I didn't care for this place when it first opened. But the last few months, went back few times and actually enjoyed it. I think a lot has to do with weather as this is more of a winter food, especially in the hot Texas summer. Anyway, as it's customized by only you, you will decide on how and what kind of food you want in your bowl. Usually, I try to keep it right at about 1 pound. With full bowl of soup, it's quite filling. One tip is not to get it too spicy. I normally get it midway with a #3 for spice. Then after it's made, if you want more spice, there's a small side table that you can add more misc spices

Yelp
If you're thinking about going, just do it! On a cold night, I was craving some noodles and soup. After flipping through pho and ramen spots, I came across this hot pot spot and decided to try it. Absolutely worth it! This spot has a build your own design where you select all the ingredients you want in the hot pot, they have two broths available or can make a dry pot. It was great being able to see and pick the fresh ingredients. The items are $14.99/lb, then you choose how you want it cooked. I chose the original broth and man was it fantastic. Aside from the food, the restaurant is nicely decorated (look out for the muscular lucky cat) and the servers walk around frequently to fill water. Overall great place, I'd love to go back and try the dry pot.

Yelp
Honestly best fast hot pot I've had in a while. The waiters were really good at explaining how it works and really quick to get us seated in a nice clean table during dinner hour. The inside was small but clean. It's $15.99 per pound so mine was around $16 since I got a pound. Honestly it's on the pricier side but they make up for it by having so many options veggie, meat, noodles, and the best fish balls I've had in a while. There's different spice levels and medium spicy was the best amount. I surprisingly ate the entire thing and the broth. I recommend it here if youre new to hotpot or don't wanna do AYCE.

Caroline Z.

Yelp
I can't help bringing people here, I'm too obsessed with this place! Personal hot pot was especially perfect since we all had different appetites and dietary restrictions. Just so good, love the broth. I like spice level 4 personally

Helen L.

Yelp
Self serve hotpot place. You grab your own bowl, add in as much ingredients/protein as you'd like, then check out at the end. They have a spice level 1-5 and I went with 5. Pretty spicy if you like a nice kick. It's small and wholesome, I came here on a cold rainy day it was great. The workers are extremely nice and friendly.

Bodin K.

Yelp
I've been coming to this place every so often since they opened and it always hits the spot, especially on a cold day. Its a self serve buffet where you pick all the veggies/carbs/meats/toppings that you want and scoop it all into a bowl. They charge by weight, so keep that in mind. You can pick if you want them to prepare it in a soup or dry and your spice level. I highly recommend the soup as their broth is very good. Their selection of ingredients is top notch, good and tender meats and fresh veggies. They also have a sauce bar to further enhance your meal. The restaurant is cozy and quiet inside as well which is nice, might be hard to fit a big party though.

Ben H.

Yelp
Was in town for work and tried this place. Glad I did! Building your own hot pot w all the ingredients you can think of Taiwanese style. They charge by the pound so you can build quite a large hotpot w just one pound of food. Price is reasonable too! Choose regular or spicy broth, they cook it up for you and bring it to your table. Once again, too bad I live a few states away or else I'd frequent this place and the area lol

Lily Q.

Yelp
Came here with some friends and this was a fun place to visit! It's not your typical hotpot place where you cook everything at the table. Instead, you grab all the veggies, meats and noodles you'd like in your soup and they charge you based on how much your selection weighs. You can also select whether you want soup or not and how spicy your soup base is. The ambience is nice as well, but it's definitely more of a casual place to eat. I thoroughly enjoyed eating here and would love to come back again in the future!

Maddie V.

Yelp
Yin Tang is the perfect place for individual hotpot bowls. There is a self service bar where you can pick all of the ingredients you want, and then pay by weight at the register. They let you choose between soup or stir fry, and then the spiciness on a level of 1-4. I always get level 3 and it's still not too spicy. I love the variety of tofu and mushrooms that they offer. They do soup to-go as well, in which the ingredients are cooked and packaged separately from the soup to ensure the food doesn't get soggy. Overall, this is the perfect place to go with a group or even alone, when you want your own personalized hotpot experience!

Tien L.

Yelp
Me and my homies love yin tang! It's actually a problem of how often we come here I love the concept bc it tailors to my my mood each time I come. Staff will assign you a table once you walk in, walk through the ingredient section and pick out your selections, bring it to cashier to weigh it, they'll take it to the kitchen, and will bring out a gigantic bowl of goodness once you're seated (and don't forget the sauce bar!) I always go for the soup version, level 3 spicy. Its not too spicy and I think it's at the perfect level flavor-wise. The broth is hearty and so in depth. It's not greasy and I don't get bored eating through it. The staff is kind and accommodating. It took me awhile to perfect my dipping sauce but here's my recipe if you need a place to start-- a little minced garlic and green onions, peanut chips to ur liking, tablespoon soy sauce, dash of sesame oil and vinegar, and a teaspoon of chili oil (less oil more chili) and a couple shakes of sugar. It's 13.99 per lb I believe and mine usually come to that price, I always think it's a worthy meal

Jinhyung K.

Yelp
This place is usually by go to spot for some mala hotpot. I've been here for the first time in a couple of years and it wasn't quite the same. The meat was overcooked and tough and the broth lacked the depth I remembered it having. The service has been okay and it's a good place to go for like a party of 4 max.

Kendy L.

Yelp
Amazing build your own bowl hot pot!!! It was like a yogurt shop getting what I want and then getting it weighed. There were so many options to customize your soup. So many different Noodles, seafood, meats, veggies, seasonings and sauces to choose from. I packed up a lot in my large plastic bowl and the price was still reasonable in the end. I had to take it to go because of how huge it was. They will bring out your masterpiece in their hot flavorful delicious broth. And then you can add the extra sauces and toppings to your soup. I was very satisfied with my soup since they had everything I wanted in my soup. Definitely my go to place for hotpot!!

Susan S.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite spots to go in Carrollton! Each time that we come here the food does not disappoint. It is behind 99 Ranch and is a Taiwanese hot pot place that you pay by the pound. They have over 30 different ingredients for your hot pot ranging from Asian veggies to seafood to all sorts of noodles. You can pick the dry or soup style. You also pick what kind of dipping sauce you want. We usually get the soup. The flavor of the bone broth is savory but not too heavy - always hits the spot! The service is also pretty good! Any chance we get to drive to Carrollton we will eat here before we go back. Highly recommend it if you want some good hot pot!

Mister T.

Yelp
Charge by the pound of deliciousness On a hot day and trying spicy hot pot and dry pot food, well, it was worth it! Good service to boot

Michelle W.

Yelp
How many ways can you have Hot Pot? I bet you've definitely asked yourself that question before... Well if you are curious about Hot Pot, or just like good food in general. Try it out. The staff is very quick, efficient and good at communicating. They explain to you how it works and get tables turned very quickly if there's a line. If I have my own business I would definitely hire some of them. The food is solid, many options with the spice level and you choose whether to use dipping sauce or not. And can make your own dipping sauce as you wish. Pricing is clear and straight forward. Both broth and dry are the same price but I recommend the broth just because it's more traditional. Try them all, why not. I definitely recommend you eating there though. Mala Tang is just not the same after you get take out. Small suggestion to the restaurant that they may consider having some kind of "how to" steps to order such as do people find a table first and how does it work. It will save time for your already busy staff to explain every time.

Yelp
110% my favorite Thai Soup place in all DFW. No one even comes close. This is a spot my Thai friend took us one day, and forever change the way we eat soup. Just plain amazing and at a very good price. Hoping as they expand that they open a location by North Fort Worth with all the luxury living up there.

Lauren S.

Yelp
The food tasted great! I like that I can add whatever I want to the broth, the soup base tastes great too

Ellie L.

Yelp
Amazing, I love it, it's so good one of my favorite spots to eat at in Carrolton, they also have great service and great ingredient quality

Dominic T.

Yelp
I came last month on Christmas day, what a place to be at for the holidays and it was chilly outside. The place is located behind 99 Ranch on the far right. It wasn't packed on that day, so I can't compare to a normal day. The menu isn't that much aside from like hot pot soup (Tomato or Original) and a dry mix. The variety comes from what you choose, making your own bowl with select meats, veggies, and more. They have a large selection and the bowl you get at the end is like the size of my head. I wanted to try more, but I don't think I would've finished (more reason to come again). They charge by the pound, so my bowl ended up being 3 lbs. I had the tomato hot pot soup, I don't remember exactly what I had, but I added a lot. They do have to-go containers if you don't finish (I know I didn't). I noticed you can bring home the broth and reuse it for like instant ramen at home. There is a small sauce table on the right side of the register to mix sauces to your liking. I enjoyed the soup as it was very flavorful. I'm recently new to the Texas area, but I would bring visitors to Texas here to try out if they're ever feeling hotpot or a "hot bowl".

Jocelyn G.

Yelp
This was a DIY hot pot place and you pay by weight. Lots of options to choose from and the flavor of the soup was good. The portions are pretty big for what you pay for. The place is located in a shopping plaza so there's lots of parking.

Gigi M.

Yelp
Definitely my favorite place to eat lately! I love coming here when I visit the Carrolton area. The ramen is delicious and filling without leaving you bloated. Staff is kind and helpful. The place can get pretty busy, but I usually always visit when it's opening time to beat the crowd. Definitely stop by and give it a try!

Hayde M.

Yelp
This is my absolute favorite soup restaurant. The soup is savory and you have unlimited options on sauces and toppings. I ask my husband to take me here every weekend. My go to soup base is the spicy level 3.

Giang L.

Yelp
-I am suprised by how clean the restaurant is. The big bowl that we use to pick up food look brand new. -Between this one and the one in Coit rd, both of them have some different ingredient. I like the mussel and calamari. -The only reason foe 4 star is that they have a limit on soup base. For the one on Coit, they have tomato and mushroom soup base as well as a vegan version soup base.

Linda S.

Yelp
Ordered to go. The place is not busy in a weekday evening. The ingredients taste fresh and soup taste good.

Becca F.

Yelp
Nice, new, easy to access. I like the concept of creating your own soup. They have a great variety of ingredients to pick from and it tastes delicious after they cook it for you.

Justin L.

Yelp
Love building my own hot pot here. The spice levels are a little lower than you expect, so be sure to go up a level than you are used to.

Tae Kyung Y.

Yelp
Pixiu was closed on a Tuesday and the day was cold, so I wanted to take my mom out to try malatang for the first time, so we decided to visit Yin Tang. Unlike Pixiu, Yin Tang is Chinese-owned, so you may be able to get more of an authentic taste. Though it is Chinese-owned, they did have signage in Korean as you know Koreans and their love for malatang. We visited on a Tuesday evening, and the place was fairly empty around 5:30PM. The layout is similar to Pixiu, where you pick your toppings and you weight it and they cook the soup and bring it out to you. I added my usuals in there - beef, cabbage, broccolli, spam, dry tofu, flat noodles, corn noodles, tofu, fried tofu, mushrooms and more. I noticed that they had more topping selections as Pixiu, such as intestines but I didn't opt for that. I also noticed that the spam was a little sketchy... I don't think it's the spam brand but they use a different canned ham brand. The broth here is a little different too -- level 1 at Pixiu is still extremely spicy, but the level 1 broth here is a white broth... We didn't know that. Thankfully, our server was able to change it up to level 2 after ordering, but even that was not that spicy. I think I'll opt for level 3 next time. The numbing flavor is also a little stronger here than Pixiu, but the broth was still flavorful and deep. They don't have side menus like Pixiu, and malatang and dry mala are the only options, but they do have a limited sauce bar that you can dip your toppings in so that was nice. Our server was very nice and attentive -- my mom really liked the malatang though we actually both had a stomachache afterward which was a little disappointing... I think I'll stick to Pixiu, but it wasn't all that bad; I think I just prefer Pixiu.

Zoe L.

Yelp
Best Malatang!! Their soup base is so delicious!! The last time I ordered food was when the epidemic started, today I finally have the chance to dine in with my boyfriend!! The cost is $12.99 per pound, vegetable and meet together. I ordered lots of beef and bacon hah! I love them! I thought the price will be pricey, but actually it is decent! My boyfriend and I were so full! And it costs $35(not included tips) We order A Lot! Because it is kind of hard to tell how much will you eat when you ordered the food( I just keep picking the food I love haha!) Overall, the food is fresh and delicious, the service is great as well! I am so happy Dallas has this malatang place! By the way! When I was ordering take out, I Always keep some soup leftover. And the next day you can use the soup to cook some noodles!! That's so GOOD!!!! Their soup is so good!!!

Lucy H.

Yelp
this place is a build your own hotpot place! you get to choose if you want soup or dry base, and then choose what flavor soup you want. i got the tomato and david got the spicy mild soup. both soup bases were very flavorful, heart warming and good! they charge you by the pound, so i accidentally got 2 pounds of food ($14/ pound) and david got 1... i over ordered but that's okay i took some home for leftovers. they had so many vegetables and meats to choose from! my favorites were the enoki and king oyster mushrooms, and the fish balls with beef filling! i would recommend getting more beef rolls next time since they don't weigh too much.

Rose P.

Yelp
I've been here a few times and I'm never disappointed. They have a good variety of different items you can put into your soup. If you've never been, you pick items from a buffet. You can pick as much as you want but the cost is based on how much the bowl of ingredients weighs. I was trying to be a bit careful with my choices this day so I ended up with .8 lbs. It's 13.99 per pound. I tried several different fish cakes but the fish roe one is definitely my favorite. I also prefer the lamb slices to the beef as they have a lot of flavor. They also have a full sauce bar to make extra sauces for your meat or to pour into the soup. I asked for spice level 2 but it wasn't spicy at all. Luckily there's chili oil at the bar so it's very easy to make your bowl spicier if you want more. The only complaint I had this last time is that one of my favorite ingredients was missing. I love the big chunks of blood. They did have a blood rice dumpling which was close but not quite the same. I'm hoping they bring it back! Definitely go try it out, it's an interesting restaurant that's different than other hotpot places (and cheaper!)

Jorena L.

Yelp
A hidden gem in Carrollton! Located in the back area between ranch99 and daiso, it's much quieter with ample parking. Lots of available tables when we came. It's like a self-serve personal hotpot which is nice because you choose exactly what you want. There's lots of unique choices as well as the classics. The giant bowl you fill is deceiving. The weight and amount of food add up quickly - I ended up with over 1lb and struggled to finish. There's a small sauce bar to make your own sauces. The waitress only recommended the spicy hot pot, which was delicious. The broth was so creamy and rich. All the ingredient were fresh and cooked well. I can't wait to come back on a cold weather day.

Cindy N.

Yelp
This place is unexpectedly pretty good! It's priced at $13.99 per pound and you fill up your own bowl with what you would like to eat. There is spice levels from 1-4, and when I asked how spicy 4 was, the cashier said "Thai chili" spicy. I ordered 4, and I found it was not spicy at all but did have a nice kick to it. They assign you a table, and then bring the bowl out for you (soup or dry) once it's ready. There's also a sauce bar. I personally added lots of garlic, chili, chili oil, cilantro and onion to my broth to make it more flavorful but it was a good flavor on its own, too. By the end I was extremely full and may have overindulged on the ingredients but it was fairly priced!

Jessica T.

Yelp
So much food. You choose your raw ingredients and add it to a bowl and then it gets weighed and you choose if you want it dry or with the original vs tomato broth. Let me just say that if you get carried away like I did you'll definitely leave with left overs! The price is pretty high but for what you get and the quality of both the ingredients and taste I think it's definitely worth the splurge.

Lin L.

Yelp
I am not a fan. Its pretty pricy and its okay for me. Not that great. We waited for 30 minutes then I decided to get it for a To Go order. They did not cook it properly as some of the ingredient still hard. I got mine dry while my husband got original flavor with soup. Mine definitely has not enough sauce so it taste pretty blend. The original flavor is okay. Service is friendly.

Lisa B.

Yelp
The food here is awesome! I have been craving hot pot for a while now. My best friend and I came here for a girls night out. It is an interesting concept. There is a buffet line, you get your own tongs and a bowl. You fill your bowl with however many items you would like for your soup. I believe it is 12.99 a pound. Once you have the soup you bring it to the front and pick the spicy level 1-4. Then they go in the back and cook the soup for you. I really enjoyed the broth and taste. They also have a condiment bar where you can get spices to add to your soup. Pretty much they have everything you need for a dark and gloomy cold day to fill your belly with nice soup.

Kat L.

Yelp
Malatang is always so addicting and delicious. The inside is clean and spacious and staff is always so nice and friendly.

J Y.

Yelp
We are regulars at this restaurant and the food is amazing! The service is great too.

Kexin Y.

Yelp
I had heard great things about Yin Tang from my foodie friends, and it has been freezing this past week so of course I had to try it out. I came here for dinner with a friend, and my expectations were blown away. The place is structured as a buffet of sorts - you can pick whatever toppings you want for your soup or dry mix, and they weigh everything and charge you by the pound. Basically a chipotle except for soup! You can choose your preferred spice level out of 4, and they bring you your bowl once everything is cooked. The soup or dry mix comes out in HUGE bowls. The soup is PERFECTION. It is perfectly savory and the notes of umami are chefs kiss. There's also a small sauce bar where you can customize a dipping sauce if you're feeling saucy. After experiencing this place for the first time with my friend I dragged my husband here with me the next night it was just that good. Pro tip: come hungry and make sure you don't have plans the rest of the day/night because you will definitely food coma so hard. WOULD RECOMMEND 12/10!!!!

Ai Vy N.

Yelp
Hot pot/noodle soup charged by the pounds using all quality ingredients? Yes pleaseeeee!!! Might not be very ideal for those who have a huge appetite, but perfect for the ones like me, who have bigger eyes than stomach and need something to put a brake on that lol (hasn't really worked, but I'll get there!) It's pretty much a self-serve restaurant. You walk in, grab one of the giant bowls, a tong to your left, and just start having at it! Veggies-noodles-all kind of balls-vegan proteins-seafood-meats. That's the order that they have everything in. If it's not too busy, you can go back and forth to pick whatever you want. The area where you pick the ingredients is kinda small, so I wouldn't suggest doing that if there are several people in line. Once you have everything you want, go up to the counter for it to get weighed. They'll give you a keychain with your order number and tell you which table number to sit at. It would help them save some time, and speed up the process more if they would just take the payment right there and then, but surprisingly enough, you don't pay until the very end after you're done. The soup will be brought out to your table in another giant bowl, piping hot, so be careful! Besides being able to choose all kind of toppings I want in my soup, I love the selection of things you can choose to create your own dipping sauce. The fridge at the end of the "buffet" line has different drinks, plus little containers of green onion, sesame sauce/paste, fresh minced garlic, minced cilantro, chili oil, and Chinese/Sichuan pepper oil. You can get as many as you want. These are free of charge (not the drinks of course), just don't be wasteful. Plus there are big bottles of Sichuan pepper oil, soy sauce, and sesame oil on the other side of the main counter. There are also a whole container of chili oil and vinegar on each table. Some tips to not make your bowl of noodle crazy expensive: 1. Avoid or get very little anything that submerged in water like shiitake mushroom, lotus root, bamboo, pork blood. 2. Same go for dense veggies/protein like tomato, corn, sausages, or any of the balls. 3. I'm pretty sure that they use the giant bowl as a tactic to give us the need to fill it up. I know at least I feel that way lol. However, 2-3 pieces of everything go a long way. Don't pile it up on things that you like. Cuz next thing you know, you end up with a 2lb bowl plus the broth lol. This place has been around for almost a year now, and I'm surprised that they haven't hit double digit on reviews yet! It seems so unfair that the whole area in front of 99 Ranch is almost always busy, yet, the businesses in the back seem to be in a whole completely different area. We wouldn't have known about this place if it wasn't for Asians Grub in DFDub FB group. They've been opened for a little while, but seems to be a full family-run business with somewhat limited staff. Just be patient and let your appetite built up, cuz you're gonna need it to finish the giant soup bowl that you'd be receiving soon. The hot pot option is the only one we have tried so far, and gonna keep going back for especially with this cold weather coming!

Yelp
Loved it. I selected lots of vegetables from the first table of ingredients - including bokchoy, and baby corn . From the two remaining fixtures: one bundle of super thin white noodles (that morphed into the perfect quantity when cooked) seaweed, bacon, ham, quail eggs, pork sausages and more vegetables is which I liked the look. For preparation I chose "wet" with a spice level 2 of 4. My lunch partner selected level 3. For me "2" was the right decision. The finished soup was cooked to perfection and very satisfying. The wait staff were polite, helpful and attentive. We both agreed we will return. I've already sang the restaurant's praises to family and friends.

Yelp
This place has become one of my favorite restaurants to go to for dinner when I am craving some soup, and it's perfect on chilly days. I would say that this is definitely a hidden gem! This little place is tucked into the plaza behind Daiso and 99Ranch. It's a self-serve hot pot (where all the food is cooked for you). When you walk in, you pick up a bowl and a pair of tongs and pick out all of the ingredients that you would like to have in your soup. There is a wide selection of fresh veggies, mushrooms, noodles, meatballs, and protein, among other things. I always enjoy getting lots of fresh veggies and tofu! You have the option of having your ingredients cooked in their classic soup broth or dry stir fried. The house broth is a magical thing. I can't figure all the different spices that they put in it, but it is so incredibly delicious and unique. I could probably drink a whole bowl of plain broth without difficulty. They also have a self-serve sauce bar, which gives you lots of creative freedom! Ever since I discovered it, I've been coming at least once every other week (and only because I live pretty far away). I definitely think I'll be coming back for a long time!

Yelp
So at this place you get pick everything in your personal hotpot before sitting down and they weigh what's in your big bowl. They'll then take it to back of the kitchen and cook it for you. They definitely cook it very well, nothing is undercooked or overcooked I'm surprised. However it's $14 per pound for the pot. You can very easily reach 2lb+ and it may not even seem like a lot of food. So you're looking at $30 per person which I think I could have gotten better selection at a AYCE hotpot. It is more convenient though, I think Yin Tang does it cook it faster and it's way less work for us to eat. However somehow I don't feel like eating a hotpot; just because I put a pack of ramen in my bowl it felt like I'm just eating a noodle bowl. It was very tasty though.

Yelp
Hidden behind the much busier Ranch 99/Daiso complex is Yin Tang, home of amazing broth and hot pot items! You start by putting whatever you want from their hot pot ingredient bar (lamb, beef, veggies, noodles, soooo many types of fish balls, and plenty more) in a large bowl which will be weighed, charged at $13/pound, and served cooked in the broth for you. I really, really enjoyed the flavorful beef broth base at level 3 spice. Since it was many of our first times visiting, gauging how much food we got was hard. My accidental ~3 lb bowl was the source of much laughter, but hey the leftovers tasted just as good! You can definitely get a filling meal with much less money/weight. I can't wait to come back next time for this delicious, streamlined hot pot experience!

Yelp
This hot pot restaurant is a must-try for all food lovers! The "do it yourself" concept lets you choose from a variety of fresh ingredients and pay by the pound and cook to your liking. Staff is helpful and knowledgeable. The hot pot is delicious with enhanced flavors from the dipping sauces and spices. The restaurant is clean, modern, and service is fast and efficient. A unique and enjoyable dining experience.

Yelp
Love this food. Very clean and modern vibe. Food is clean and fresh and healthy. Pricing is fair. Most importantly the soup is bone marrow soup.

Yelp
Was introduced Yin Tang by a coworker and immediately fell in love with this place. The ingredient selection is extensive and it is hard to not load your bowl with it all! All ingredients tasted fresh. Broth is the best. It has the mala spice flavor and you can customize from no spice, mild, small spice, medium spice, to big spice. I got the small spice and medium spice before. It was flavorful with a hint of numbing spice on the tongue lingering. Personally, not spicy enough for me (I LOVE spicy!!!). I'll probably try the big spice next time. If you can't handle spicy foods, I recommend no spice or mild spice. It came out in a HUGE bowl. I could only finish half of it. The good thing is you can take home whatever you do not finish. It made for very satisfying leftover lunch the next day. I loved this place so much that I went back a week later for takeout. I couldn't stop dreaming about the mala soup. Takeout was packaged very well. You can select your portion (1 lb, 1.5 lb, or 2 lb) and ingredients. The only reason I rated it 4 star and not 5 is because of price. It is a bit expensive. It is $12.99/lb and you can quickly add your bowl up to $20-30. And it is not all-you-can-eat like some other hot pot shops around for the same pricing. In flavor though, it is a 5 star for sure. Will definitely be back.

Yelp
This place is hidden in a mini plaza behind a huge plaza. Tucked in the corner, this place is a must try! I really like places like this. You get to grab a bowl and tongs and choose all the ingredients you want in your soup or dry soup. Then they cook it for you and bring it to your table! Many meats and veggies to choose from. They weigh it and that's how they charge. You get to choose the soup base as well. I chose fried eggs, beef, lamb, broccoli, enoki mushroom, king oyster mushroom, shiitake mushroom, spinach, beef meat balls, bacon, winter melon, sausage, tofu, ramen, quail eggs, medium spicy soup base. I'll be back soon!

Yelp
I love hot pot and I love how good their broth for their spicy hot pot is. I ended up with about 1.5 lbs weight for the items I chose, which definitely made me feel full to bursting. Everything in the bowl was cooked to perfect texture in the broth, so I can tell the chefs know what they are doing. I guess my only complaint which isn't really a complaint is I wish that they'd cooked the broth even hotter temperature-wise. Hot pot... feels most satisfying when it's basically boiling hot! Their broth was cooked to a heat that's nice and comfortable and safe, but I personally enjoy the adrenaline-pumping feeling of fishing a piece of food out with steam coming off it, knowing that your tongue's gonna feel it once it's in your mouth! I love the danger...
