Yo Pauly's New York Pizza Co

The pizza is legit. The cheese, the sauce, it all tastes correct. Good crunch to the crust. Foldable, but ngl I did expect it to be a tad bit bigger. All in all though a good slice, I did enjoy it. The interior of the restaurant is a little campy, but they’re trying to recreate the old school pizzeria vibe, it’s fine. Parking can be tough, the lot is small and there’s a few other businesses in the vicinity. If you’re in the area they’re worth a visit for sure.

This was our first time and we will definitely be back! The food was amazing! Like really good! The pizza came out and the cheese was molten and the crust was crispy just like a good pizza should be! The staff were all really friendly. I had interactions with several of them and all were really nice. 10/10 recommend!

Im from NYC and I had to see what the NY STYLE PIZZA is like. I grabbed a cheese and a corner Sicilian slice. The cheese slice was actually really good. Good char, good crisp and cheese was not oily at all. By far the closest to NY Style pizza I've had in Arizona

We were looking on google to find a good Pizza/calzone place. It’s a cute pizza shop that has outdoor seating. We are a bit harder on our review in this category because my boyfriend is from Naples Italy and we’ve had some of the best pizza/calzones there. We got the Little Italy and Tri State Calzone. The Tri State was the better of the 2 but both were good. I’d recommend Yo Paulys to friends and family.

Let’s get straight to business- this is where you want to be! We love this restaurant! We have ordered to go for all of us at the nearby hospital to eat and we love it! The pizzas come in tremendous size, it barely fit in my Tesla Model Y. It’s literally mouth watering just thinking about how delicious their food is. I love their wings and cheesecake as well. The service is phenomenal, the guys in there were super friendly and generous. We love wonderful service and appreciate it when we see it! Beautiful part of town, safe area and class service. Will continue to order from here! Thank you!

One of the top pizza restaurants in all of Arizona The craftsmanship, fresh ingredients, and outstanding service!! Many delicious menu choices- the calzones are to die for! The Stromboli is fantastic and a must get! The pizza is fresh, crispy and totally authentic! We have been there many times and Yo Pauleys will continue to be the go to for many!

First we arrived at 530. Sat right away as there were plenty of empty tables (not busy). Pizza was not bad, and the knots were a nice surprise. We didn’t order them, but thankfully they gave them to us because we waited over 10 min just for a menu, and then another 10 min to take our order. Then we waited about 30 min for 1 pizza. We sat at the table for so long after we finished we had to go up to the counter to ask for a box and the bill. We will not be back for dine in service. Wouldn’t pass up ordering pickup but the service killed the experience.

Ok first of all, lemme just say the food is delicious, however my “Yo Pauly’s” experience will forever be tainted by the long light brown hair I had to pull out of my mouth mid chew. Ladies working the front, please wear a hair net. Just because you’re not cooking, it doesn’t mean you don’t need to wear a hair net. I mean this in the nicest way possible. Food is delicious, service is great but I will never forget 😔 Edited to include that I was internally debating whether I should mention the hair or not, but decided I should because if I owned a business, I would want to know so improvement could be made and it doesn’t happen to anyone else ❤️

They delivered my slice to the table with a smile No more Ray's for me I am from NYC and this is the best 'za in Phoenix IMHO

Stopped by for a quick bite after visiting the Railroad park nearby during our stay in Scottsdale. Went in at 4pm and was quickly seated. We sat at the booth area and got cups for drinks. There is a self-service drink machine with Pepsi products. They also served us complimentary garlic knots which was very good. The marinara sauce was good with it too. One of the best garlic knots I've had! The bread was so soft in the inside and toasty in the outside. For the pizza, we ordered a few slices of pizzas. Since it was dinner time, they just have cheese and the selection is 3 toppings so we got 2 cheese slices, a Sicilian with pepperoni, and a slice with pepperoni, sausage, and mushrooms. Everything tasted fresh and it was a good dinner. The only thing I would note is that the Sicilian slice was a bit undercooked because the dough was not cooked all the way. However, the sauce made up for it. Atmosphere was neat too. I wouldn't necessarily say that it is a new york style restaurant, but there are black and white pictures on the wall of the city. Restaurant is clean too.

Food was quick, delicious, and very filling while reasonably price things. Service was well attentive and prompt . Ambiance is like a typical pizzaria would be for people eating inside.

FINALLY a New York style pizza. I'm from NJ & Philly and I haven't found anything similar to home where you can get good thin crust pizza and slices. Yo Pauly's is exactly that. I came in on Super Bowl Sunday I ordered 7 pizzas and 5 dozen wings. Pizzas were ready on time but they were pretty backed up with the wings. Luckily they were very nice and on top of it. Definitely waited a bit longer and I think other people were annoyed but personally, I get it. It's hard to bump out hundreds of wings at a time. Food was delicious, everyone was happy! Definitely will be returning. Finally a slice of home! Literally!

First time at this neighborhood pizza place. Traveled 20+ miles to try the New York Pizza. Friend was from New York and recommended it. Ordered a large Greek Salad and large pizza, half cheese and have meatball and pepperoni. All good here. Nice family restaurant. Good service and good food.

We have officially made this our favorite pizza place in town. The crust, the chew, the sauce....all of it is amazing. You must try their pizza. The staff is amazing and truly cares about the product and the experience. Rachel is awesome and works hard to make sure the experience is incredible! Say hi to her when you go in!

First time here so ordered 1 slice of pepperoni pizza. It was delicious! Judy what I was craving. The crust was crisp; the sauce perfectly spiced; the cheese had perfect pull. The decor is fresh, bright, NYC themed. I will be back for more. Service was outstanding. I opted to eat in, alone. When the slice was brought to my table I was thoughtfully offered water (since I didn't order a beverage). I accepted the offer of water which was then brought to me in a full size cup, not in a small plastic throw away like so many others.

They were very busy but were super friendly, we appreciated the commitment to customer service and the pizza was delicous too.

As always, pizza is flavorful and crispy. The service is attentive and friendly and the ambiance is casual. Great place to grab a couple of slices.

The chicken parm is cheap, processed, frozen chicken patty for $15. The chicken was spongy and really gross texture like McDonald's chicken nuggets. This is sad because they have great pizza. This is also sad because I'm stuck in a hotel with a gross dinner. I didn't imagine that this place wouldn't make their own chicken parm from scratch. Such a shame.

It's definitely not anything fancy. It is however, I'm very busy especially on a weekend evening. This restaurant came highly recommended and we thought we'd give it a try. We ordered two pizzas- one basic Margherita and another sausage with mushrooms. The server was great - very friendly and engaging. I liked the pizza well enough but with so many places to try, it won't likely be back in my rotation for a while.

Stopped in for a quick lunch and we were pleasantly surprised. We loved that they offered pizza by the slice combo's I ordered one of the lunch specials - chop salad and a slice of the lasagna pizza. Both came out very quickly which was great! The salad was served with ranch balsamic dressing which was delicious. The pizza was good, just not very warm/hot which is why I can't give it 5 stars. My husband ordered a different lunch special - 6 Buffalo wings and a slice of pepperoni pizza. The buffalo wings were made to order, the sauce was delicious and the ranch to dip them in was also wonderful. The pizza was much warmer/hotter than mine so maybe my slice was just sitting under the warmer longer? Overall, bummed my pizza wasn't super hot, but my husband loved what he ordered, so it was worth the visit!

1st time trying this restaurant and I've wanted to do a review for the longest time so here goes. Called in a to go order for the family which was a diverse selection of food from the menu. After calling in the order, was only 20-25 minutes before it was ready and lead foot drove down to the restaurant to pick up dinner. Small but well layer out seating with television's on 3 of the walls to entertain for those dining in. Very friendly and attentive staff that greeted me. Clean and well kept front desk and kitchen from what I could see and the wait staff didn't wait long before tables were vacated to clean them up for the next customers. The aroma when I 1st walked in the door gave me hunger pains (not really but you get where I'm going with this) of garlic, pizza dough and that heavenly sauce. Paid the bill, received our goodies and headed home pronto to keep everything hot and fresh for the family. Chopped salad Side of manhattan meatballs Stromboli Calzone New York Pizza My 1st selection was the Stromboli and they included sides of sauce to dip in. * It's been a while since I've been to NY / NJ but this was just as good as they make in the motherland. 2nd selection was the Little Italy Calzone and we really enjoyed (we, because everyone wanted a bite) the fresh ricotta and sausage they stuffed inside. Perfectly cooked, not doughy or wet inside like some other places we've had from. Brushed with a light oil and seasoning / herbs atop and again with sides of sauce. 3rd selection was the New Yorker Pizza. Have to say this was our least favorite, because it had little to no flavor which surprised us due to the toppings they included. Crust was on point (as Dave Portnoy would say "good under carriage"), wasn't chewy and had good flavor. 4th selection was the large antipasto salad. When they say large they aren't lying. This was enough for 2 people and some for leftover the next day. Lots of fresh veggies and their balsamic dressing is "drink worthy" IYKWIM! 5th selection - Last but not least the side of manhattan meatballs smothered in their signature sauce we've come to love now and they didn't disappoint. Only thing I wished it had included was garlic bread to soak up any leftover sauce. All in all Yo Paul's exceeded our expectations and I'm so glad I finally got to have a delicious dinner from here and give my review. Thanks Pauly, we'll be back to have a pie in person next time. You know I used the excuse of doing a review so I could get a bite or 6 to make sure I gave it my all

Solid Pizza, seem like a nice staff. Worth a visit, nothing fancy but good food. I'll be back.

Came here with a buddy after a recent afternoon round of golf in the area. Was really jonesing for some true New York style slices, and this place delivered the goods!!! We ate in and ordered a few items to split...salad, sub and a pie. The house salad was piled high with greens, tomatoes, cucumbers, green and black olives and served with a tangy Italian style dressing. Then came a meatball sub brimming with tender meatballs, marinara sauce and baked mozzarella cheese. Finally, we tried their Ziggy's favorite pizza pie with had a perfectly chewy thin crust topped with marinara, mozzarella and both pepperoni and disc-sliced sausage. Perfection. Glad we decided to eat in, as everything came (and stayed) piping hot, making for a great meal experience.

Stopped in today for two slices and a Caesar salad today. Delicious as usual and of course the same outstanding quality and service as always. Cheese slices, kept simple: added only ham and basil. The salad, of course with anchovies and fresh lemon made it a big, perfect meal.

Great spot for authentic NY pizza. I had the one of the lunch specials for take out and it's nice that they offer a whole variety of single slices, salads, and sandwiches. Since I haven't been here before, I asked the register lady to walk me through the different flavors and she was very sweet and helpful. I ended up ordering the bbq chicken pizza and the sausage ricotta slices to go with a drink, all for about $8.50. Can't beat the price with inflation being so high right now! The flavors and crust were spot on and slices were on the bigger side too. Can't wait to be back to try some more of their items. The NYC themed decor was really cute too :)

This shit hit harder than my mom!!!! This place is 5 FUCKING BOOMS!! 11/10 Me and my family highly recommend this joint. Our sever was Rachel she was amazing! Everyone here is kind and easy going they all work together as a team and it really shows!!

Love the pizza. This place is our go to pizza spot. It's a little bit out of our neighborhood but we make the trek for the pie. Pizza is great the garlic knots are delicious and the salad is wonderful and fresh. I do think I enjoy this pizza best when it's cold.

Went their for lunch this week and the service was super fast and friendly even during a busy lunch rush. Ordered a large half plain and half pepperoni as well as cheesy garlic knots. Everything was spot on and absolutely delish. The sauce on the pizza and for dipping reminded me of my Nona's sauce. 10/10 will be a weekly spot going forward.

I heard about this place through barstool. They said it was real New York style pizza that reminded him of being in New York so I had to go check it out. I think the pizza was really really good. The service was great. The place has charm the only downside and it has nothing to do with them. Was the cheese slid off a little bit and got on my shirt and got on my pants and really ruined my day I should make them pay for my dry cleaning lol. Well be back again

Great pizza! Best NY style I've found in AZ so far (just moved here in July 2024). Employees were really nice and welcoming. Restaurant had some cool pics on the walls and other interesting decor items. Very casual!

I was sooooo pleasantly surprised - my 1st time at Yo Pauly's at how good my slice of pizza was, great customer service, not just a pizza place, other italian food on the menu and you can sit down and eat there or take out. Great food, great ingredients, and so reasonably priced (not over priced)......I've already recommended them to at least 10 people and will return again! Thx Yo Pauly's!

I posted a review in September after my first visit to Yo Pauly's. I praised the food but complained about the service. I thought I'd give them a second chance so yesterday I decided to phone in a take out order for a pizza. I placed SEVEN calls and each of them went unanswered. So I headed to the store figuring I'd place the order at the counter which I understood would delay the time it would take to get my pizza. The first thing I asked the young woman at the counter was why SEVEN phone calls went unanswered. She claimed not to know their phone was ringing. Then she looked at the phone's handset and showed me it was disconnected from the phone line. It wasn't possible to know if that was by accident or intentionally. I told her that a month before when I called I was put on hold for more than 14 minutes and only as I walked into the store was my call finally answered. So after expressing my concerns to the young order taker and a man who appeared to be a manager, I got a big shrug of their collective shoulders which told me they didn't really care. So I decided to place the order for my pizza and suffer in silence while I waited. But I was told that the wait would be 1 1/2 hours to get a pizza. My face had one of those "surely I must have heard wrong looks". But they confirmed that indeed it would be 90 minutes to get a pizza to take home. I turned around and headed for the door mumbling and muttering to myself words that I won't repeat here. I should say that my one and only time eating their food was a pleasure. Their pizza and the eggplant parm sandwich were wonderful. But I can't imagine a place with a greater set of customer service issues and a bigger "we don't really care if you're unhappy" attitude. Will I try again. Probably not in this lifetime. Yo, Pauly, you got some splainin' to do.

Man I think this was the best NY style pizza in az seriously what made the pizza was the dough it had to be fermented to have such yeast flavor the crispness was perfect just the right amount of chew the sauce was good iam not a fan of Stanislaus to acidic but there's couldn't taste it to much the cheese was good the wing were just ok wish they had hotter there hottest had good flavor no heat and it was a little sweet the lady that took the order was very nice she remembered me from the morning since I went twice in one day will definitely be back

Had takeout from here recently, and the pizza was excellent. Sauce on the pie great,as was the crispy crust! Best pizza I've had in a long time,highly recommend if you want excellent pizza.

I really enjoyed their pizza. Everything was made of quality and was an outstanding taste. I'm unsure of what other pizza places are in the area as I was there visiting but for sure a New York Style Pizza with lots of flavor and baked crisp. Ordered a couple of 24 inch pizzas for the boys and they did a great job. Wings were also very tasty and cooked really well. Would definitely recommend if looking for a pizza joint.

Wow wow wow. My fiancé and I came here about a month ago (sorry about the late review) and we were blown away. To be transparent, we did come at a very odd time around 4 PM on a Sunday. There weren't any slices we could get so we ordered a whole pizza of Ziggy's favorite za which has pepperoni, sausage, basil, and cheese! While we were waiting for the pizza to be ready, they so kindly brought 4 garlic knots over for us to try and they were delicious!! When the pizza came out, it blew our expectations away!!! The pizza had a nice thin crust with a little bit of a flop at the front. The sauce to cheese to toppings ratio was perfect. I know they are a little overwhelmed since the big review but it is worth a try!!

I'm from the east coast and this is great New York style pizza! It's a little far from me but I will make the drive. Pizza was hot and fresh and ready when they said it would be. The staff was all super friendly, and the restaurant was clean! My go-to used to be Ray's but this was a little lighter and less greasy without compromising on taste or authenticity. Loved it!!

The pizza here is absolutely stellar. GREAT sauce, not too thick or thin and it tastes freshly made. Only wish it were closer to us!

I called ahead to order a couple of pizzas and some wings. Someone had mentioned on one of my neighborhood websites chat rooms that their pizza was very good. I've been looking high and low for a really good New York style thin crust pizza. I have to tell you it was absolutely excellent Crust didn't sag. It was thin it supported the toppings very well and it was very flavorful. I had Greek style pizza and there was Kalamata olives, feta cheese, oregano, and the flavor was superb. My husband had the midtown meltdown. also, excellent flavor was good and he was very happy. I had the wings I ordered half dozen of the buffalo medium and a half dozen of the Astoria. Buffalo medium a good sharp, not too hot taste. The Astoria was a lemon oregano, which was also good had nice flavor and the wings were nice. The service was excellent but I was picking up I was greeted as I walked in and my pies were ready. The place is very clean and quiet kind of tucked away in the plaza on the corner of Via Linda and 90th St. I will definitely be going back and trying some of their other pies. They have a lot of other items calzone salads and their appetizers. They've just expanded. And if you like a good old-fashioned deep dish, I actually saw a deep dish pizza in there case that they sell by the piece at lunchtime And man was that crust thick

We were eating next door at the Thai place and smelled the amazing scents coming from next door and saw the door opening nonstop-- good sign for a place that's tucked into the corner of a strip mall with no street presence, right? I added it to my Yelp bookmarks and saved it for another time. My son asked us if we could go to pizza and I thought, what about a new place we haven't tried yet? Opened the ol' Yelp app and what do you know... Yo Pauly's was on the list! For 3 of us, we ordered a meatball sub (HUGE), a 14" cheese pizza, a small salad, a cannoli, and they brought out some complimentary garlic knots. That would've been enough for our family of 4 (2 kids, 2 adults), but there were 3 of us that night. Literally everything was 5/5 stars. My son asked if we could go back again the next day to take his sister and was begging to have the leftovers. Garlic knots and the salad were my favorite, but the pizza was so good and perfectly NY style. We'll definitely be back.

Probably my favorite pizza in AZ. I typically get the Vito, I'm pretty sure that's what it's called.

Great New York pizza. Service was helpful and it was really clean inside. We ordered to go but ate a few slices before we left. Glad we did - my son loved all the baseball decor.

If your from AZ pizza out here is terrible. Being from the east coast, I had hi hopes but I very disappointed. It was just ok.

I found this pizzeria by accident and it was a good accident. The pizza is excellent. They are the only ones that knows how to make an upside down Sicilian pizza unless you're from New York you wouldn't notice excellent pizza as far as the inside well as a little worn and torn, but this place is great.

Closest to back east pizza I've been able to find so far! Crust and sauce are just right.

We called to place our order and the girl on the phone was so rude I almost could not believe how awful she was. By the end of taking our order she the tells me that it will be over an hour or more for the order to be ready. At that point, I told her nevermind. We will figure something else out. I feel bad writing such a poor review without having tasted the food (which we were excited to try) but geez! Sorry to bother her.

Being a New Yorker , I'm pretty tough on pizza tasting just like I've eaten all my years in NY. . I've tried many pizza shops locally at the recommendation from my daughter who lived near Old Town . Initially, just hearing the name " Yo Pauly's", I had to laugh as that certainly sounded NY! The pizza was fabulous! It brought me back home for a bit. Yo Pauly's is a staple in our home a few times a month. We love it! If you're missing New York, order a pie from Yo Pauly's! Yum!!

We moved from NY 10 years ago and have tried just about every pizza place in phoenix and Scottsdale. This is by far the closest thing to NY/NJ you are going to find. Owners are great and service is awesome. No need to go anywhere else.
