The cost is $115 per person from 5 to 6:30 p.m. and $140 per person from 6:45 to 10:30 p.m., with the option to add on additional sides, desserts, and cocktails for an extra cost. "Don’t let visiting tourists have all the fun; Y.O. Steakhouse in Dallas’ West End is a classic Texas-style steakhouse without the fussiness of the bigger, more opulent spots in town. Chef and owner Tony Street uses products from local farms, ranches, and artisans to cook traditional steakhouse fare like prime beef cuts, wild game, and the yummy gouda mac and cheese from Street’s Fine Chicken." - Courtney E. Me and Babes favorite spot to eat specially when I’m looking for a great Steak and service! The service is so wonderful I love everything about this place. Sad the Lava Cake is seasonal, my Wife is so in love with that cake. And I’m one that doesn’t care for sweets that much and I’m here to say it is so delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone! Hope you all enjoy it as much as we do. Can’t wait til my next visit gonna try another new dish. This is the first restaurant I have ever tried different dishes.

Google
Jorge was a wonderful one of the better servers that I enjoyed. It has been 20 years since I've been in that building and Y.O. has done a great job to it. The food was awesome. What he recommended off the menu was even better. The shrimp alligator sausage was also very good. The atmosphere was great, not too busy, but busy enough to be one of the Staples of the West End game. I really enjoyed the atmosphere, really enjoyed everything the people were attentive. The host was awesome to help me and explain how the properties merged together. She was great, also

We celebrated our 36 wedding anniversary there and were welcomed with greetings of happy anniversary and a nice card. To our surprise we were served a delicious flourless chocolate cake after dinner! The food and drinks were delicious too. My steak was more medium than medium rare and there was no problem getting it right. Replaced quickly and perfectly cooked! Our server, Brandon, was very kind and efficient. Great experience!

We walked in on a Wednesday night to celebrate belated birthday. The wait time was only 45 minutes but it was quicker! We had the pleasure of being taken care of by Cynthia who was exceptional! She was mindful of one of us not being present and restated the specials. She was very attentive and updated us on our plates/drinks. 10/10 would recommend dining and being taken care of by Cynthia!

Google
If I could rate my experience 6 stars, I would. Staff was incredible, our bart tender Joel took AMAZING care of us, making sure we had everything we needed, made our mixed drink to perfection. I ordered a 14 oz sirloin and when asking him questions about the pairings, he was extremely knowledgeable and even took it a step further to bring me a new pairing and heat it up over my steak table side which completely transformed the flavor! Overall amazing experience and I couldn’t be more pleased considering I live right next door, so will definitely be back! Special thank you to Joel, you were the best!

Google
We walked around to see the building and stopped here for dinner. Great service! Sheldon was our server and he courteously explained details about the dishes. I wish I would have taken more pictures. I had the salmon.

Google
Must have been a new chef on the grill. My medium rare New York strip was very rare. The middle of the steak was still cool inside the centre of the strip, so technically it was cooked blue. Very disappointed in that. I didn’t finish the steak as a result. The steak was clearly a wonderful piece of meat, but poor execution when it counted. The chili was amazing. Bit of chilli sauce and sour cream really makes it sing. Great waiter. But he kept taking our drinks away when they weren’t quite finished.

Google
I don’t leave reviews but boy let me tell you, I am out of town on business missing my wife and kids, had an extremely taxing and frustrating day on the job. Feeling tired and defeated. The Buffalo Filet Mignon changed my tone for the day. It was the juiciest most tender piece of meat I have ever had. The atmosphere was warm and relaxing, and the service was out of this world. Highly recommend for anyone local or visiting the city. Thank you for making me feel welcome in your city!

Yelp
I recently dined and had a fine time! Y.O Ranch is an excellent staple in the West-End of Dallas, TX. I've been visiting this restaurant since 2016 and they never miss a beat. Always excellent service and quality of food is great. We came here over the Labor Day weekend to celebrate my Dads birthday. Many options on the menu for all family members. I tried something new this time and went with the buffalo filet, quite tasty and a very nice lean cut of meat. It was even featured on food network. I ordered medium rare and it was delicious and perfectly prepared. I also ordered a side of the creamed spinach and the shrooms are the best! For drinks I ordered a bottle of Luca Malbec. You can never go wrong with this Malbec. Ambiance is your cozy ranch style decor which is perfect for Texas! I cannot say enough good things about this hidden gem in West-end. I would definitely recommend this spot. Cheers and enjoy! Happy foodie!

Yelp
Came for a steak dinner with my brother and sister-in-law a few weeks ago. The ambiance is cute and the portions are big, but honestly was disappointed in the quality of the steak for the price. Tons of fat/gristle on the T-Bone. I wish we would have just gotten more BBQ or gone to another steakhouse in town. They liked it, but I just know it's better and bigger other places in Texas. Service bumped this up to a 3-star review. Really attentive and friendly staff!

Yelp
I recently came here for a business dinner... Service was great, environment was nice, menu is loaded with nice items. The various dishes, salad, appetizers, entrées, and dessert we tried were nice, but the steak wasn't as flavorful as it probably could have been. Prices are also high for the quality and appearance of the food that came out. I can now say I've been... Not too eager to return.

Yelp
Solid steakhouse in Dallas. Great spot for a great meal and friendly service and atmosphere. Enjoyed it immensely the steak was perfectly cooked. The chicken fried lobster was a first for me but very good. The bread pudding was the bell of the ball though so delicious.

Yelp
Y.O. Ranch Steakhouse in Dallas provided an exceptional dining experience for our family of five celebrating a special occasion. The steaks were perfectly cooked, tender, and flavorful, with the wild game options impressing as well. Every dish, from the mains to the sides, showcased outstanding quality. The service from Brandon was equally superb--our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and ensured we had everything we needed without feeling rushed. The staff's personal touch added to the celebration, making it a truly memorable evening. For top-notch food and impeccable service, Y.O. Ranch Steakhouse is unbeatable.

Yelp
I chose Y.O. Ranch to have my first taste of Texas steak. I came during the solar eclipse weekend and expected a wait for a seat. Thankfully, I had no wait. All tables were booked even at 16:00, leaving only the bar open. I felt bad if I were to sit at a table with only me. I took to the bar and met Decklan. He took good care of me along with Joel. I was looking for a good steak. Decklan recommended the ribeye. It burst with flavor and paired well with seasoned vegetables and a scoop of mashed potatoes. I love the country ranch atmosphere that's uniquely Texas.

Yelp
Going to Dallas I was looking forward to coming to this steakhouse. The ambiance had a fine dining feel. It was a very nice decor and table setting. We started with venison bacon-wrapped cubes. Very delightful to taste. I never had venison, it was very tender and had much flavor. Reminded me of steak. Next was a ribeye steak with bacon brussel spouts, and sauteed oyster mushrooms. The steak was cooked to perfection and flavorful. The brussel sprouts and mushrooms were ok. The server was very knowledgeable and attentive to our needs. His recommendations were on point.

Yelp
Was here for a good time and not a long time! My brothers and I attended a men's conference in oak cliff and decided to end our night at YO Ranch Steakhouse to try some authentic Dallas steak. And boy did we! The ambiance was very classy as their dress code is smart casual. It has low lighting, clothed tables, and each waiter/waitress wears a bronze vest Our waiter was very nice and accommodating. He provided his favorites and explained the differences between certain cuts of beef and wild game. We started off with having venison roll ups. This was venison wrapped in bacon with cheese and jalepenos. It was salty cheesy and a kick of spice! Delicious I had the El Jefe as a palate cleanser this was an house made extra anejo tequila cocktail that tasted exactly like an old fashioned. Everything blended well. Afterwards we had our main course the prime ribeye, with mushrooms, roasted brussel sprouts and Mac and cheese as accompaniments. The ribeye was tasty and seasoned well. This was a wet aged steak and you can definitely taste the difference in flavor. The brussel sprouts were delicious, mushrooms helped to cut the grease and the Mac and cheese was pretty amazing as well. I was a bit skeptical at first but It beat my expectations. I also appreciate the managers for coming by and asking how we enjoyed the food and the experience.

Yelp
YO Ranch is a true Texas steakhouse and what do steakhouses do best? Sides! These sides are phenomenal I usually order 3 and make that my meal. Their portions are large and so are their epic pours of vino! When it's busy, sit at the bar and they will treat you like family. The date-night like ambiance though could serve as a more fun celebratory evening!

David J.

Yelp
Great steak dinner. Cozy ranch-style atmosphere. Attentive and helpful service. I dropped in for a Saturday afternoon (early evening) dinner date. The interior is appointed with the furniture, art, and appearance of a relaxing upscale hacienda cattle ranch with mounted taxidermy. (Out-of-town visitors and tourist will enjoy the authentic Texas atmosphere). We started off the evening each with a glass of Catena "High Mountain" Malbec from Argentina and shared their Texas Hill Country Quail Medallions as an appetizer. The quail was prepared like a small chicken fried steak with enough for two to share. Very tasty. For dinner I started with their Chilled Iceberg Wedge Salad, and selected the Buffalo Filet Mignon as my main course. The salad was cold crisp and tasty, and the Buffalo was excellent and precisely cooked to my medium-rare preference. (Buffalo is a really nice alternative to steak, def give it a try). My date had their Y.O. House Salad with added sirloin steak (it had a sizable amount of steak almost equaling my filet). We skipped desert, but they had a full menu of great choices. Y.O. Ranch is a long-time Dallas West End tradition. Great for locals, and a fun relaxing place to take your out-of-town visitors for an old-school Texas Ranch experience. Highly recommended!

Yelp
All I can say is... the drinks were good. Food and service not good, terrible actually. Thanksgiving dinner was horrible. Turkey green beans and potatoes tasted and resembled a low end chain restaurant. The food was not even hot. The restaurant online pictures and reviews are misleading. This is not an upscale restaurant. The service was lacking, 20 mins before we got water and we had to ask four waiter for it. Put a damper on our holiday.

Albert R.

Yelp
Great wine! Awesome steak, and service was top notch! Very classy place. Parking was kind of a pain so arrive 20 mins earlier than reservation. Everything was awesome!!

Yelp
A quick visit when we're in Dallas downtown to get steak. Was kinda excited at first then got disappointed w the food quality and service. Service could have been nicer and steak was bad. It was no better than what you got from grocery store.

Sara G.

Yelp
Show me a steakhouse and I'll show you a fantastic piece of fish. Absolutely thrilled about the swordfish at Y.O. Ranch Steakhouse in Dallas! Love it. So yummy! The warm greeting set the tone for a great evening. The extensive wild game selection, including the buffalo filet mignon, showcased the restaurant's uniqueness. The diverse seafood menu and nightly specials added an extra layer of excitement to the dining options. The legendary Texas hospitality was evident through the sincere reception and the knowledgeable, friendly servers. Chef Tony Street's connection to Texas cuisine and the restaurant's rich history adds a special touch.

Yelp
We dined at the YO Ranch Steakhouse for a private business event back in November. After reading the reviews and noticing the highly ranked status on TripAdvisor and Yelp, we knew it would be the best meal so far in the area. That wasn't exactly the case. Of course since it was a private dining event, it was a shortened menu. This was fine because it still had multiple delicious sounding options. For my first choice, I chose the sweet corn bisque. It was delicious! My business partner chose the Y.O house salad, tasty as well. For the second or main course, I ordered salmon after hearing how delicious their seafood was. To my surprise, the salmon was dry and flavorless, as were the vegetables included with it. My business partner ordered the chicken piccata and had the same things to say as me, dry and flavorless. Dessert made up for the underwhelming main course. I ordered the blueberry cobbler cheesecake, and it was divine. The Jack Daniel's pecan pie was my business partners choice, and she enjoyed it as well. The restaurant was decorated well and the staff was kind. However, the main course was so underwhelming that I'm not sure we would return.

Jon P.

Yelp
I had the mix of Buffalo filet, quail, and venison. The buffalo and venison were overcooked. It's been nearly 20 years since I've been here. It's not the same. It doesn't feel special. I won't return. It's a high priced restaurant. There are far better restaurants for this price point

Aryelle S.

Yelp
Came on a Monday night which was super nice and quiet. The service was phenomenal and of course we didn't have much parking issues on a Monday. They do not do valet so you will have to pay to park on the street or a parking lot. We ordered the venison roll ups which were delicious. It came with a bed of wild rice underneath which was also very good. We ordered the Buffalo filet (medium) which was recommended as the medium rare comes out too rare. Highly recommend ordering the Buffalo filet. It was cooked perfectly. Also ordered the prime ribeye which was good but should've ordered medium rare. It was a little too done for a medium. The Brussel sprots were good and the Mac n cheese was just okay. Very cheesy top but not much cheese on the noodles.

Yelp
I've been walking around near this place and seeing it for over a decade and finally stopped on in. Very cool atmosphere. Fancy but still with a laid-back charm. I opted to sit at the bar since I was going during my lunch hour, and there's nothing quite like sitting at a bar during the afternoon. You can see by the vintage cooler/bar set up that the place has class and history. I was taken care of by Sheldon, who was friendly and courteous. I went with the burger even though that Chicken Fried Steak available for the Blue Plate Special did catch my eye. The burger, per the menu, is made using the trimmings from the steak. I also ordered a sweet tea that was nice and sweet. When the burger came out, it truly was a sight. This massive plate looked amazing with the nice grilled purple onions on top and golden fries on the side. When I put my burger together and grabbed it to take a bite, I felt like a 12 year old again holding this massive burger. The bun was very good as well. The charred parts on the exterior of the patty were nice and flavorful. Later, I would relate the taste to The Big Texan hamburger, just less peppery. This burger was a standout, and I honestly couldn't even finish it. That's very rare for me. I went back to work with excitement telling all my coworkers about the wonderful experience and letting them know about the daily blue plate specials that were set at amazing prices. I look forward to many next visits.

Yelp
The YO Ranch Steakhouse is a classic Texas style steakhouse with a flair. I had lunch and it was a good experience. I had the Food Network buffalo filet mignon and it was great. I am not usually one to get a dish because of past recognition. I thought it sounded good and different. The staff was great and I had excellent service as to be expected at a restaurant of this caliber.

Teisha V.

Yelp
Came here with my family to celebrate my birthday from out of town. The restaurant was clean and intimate. We were seated quickly and the waiter seemed polite. The water had an icky after taste and the sweet tea was fine. I ordered the buffalo filet mignon. It cost I'm about $45 for a 6 ounce with mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables. It was OK had way too much pepper needed a little bit of salt and I didn't care for the Wine reduction or soft that made the meat a bit sweet . My husband ordered a ribeye, but I felt it wasn't as good as the reviews said it was. My son enjoyed his sandwich and his fries all in all we spent about $145 for lunch and got to try something different than our usual but can't say that I would ever come back but glad I had the opportunity to try Buffalo filet mignon they do not have military discount. Just FYI.

Rob M.

Yelp
Searched for a highly rated place to eat after touring the 6th Floor Museum and this was our choice. Ratings were correct, this place is HIGHLY recommended. Our party of 7 got a variety of plates, ranging from the Tomahawk Steak to most all appetizers. Everything was cooked perfectly and the service was great! Some of our favorite dishes were the Mac and cheese, quail medallions, pork belly, and oysters. Corn bisque highly recommended! The elk tenderloins were not gamey at all and melted in your mouth. Chili and Brussels sprouts were all outstanding. Price wasn't outrageous for the quality of food/service you receive. We all agreed that we'd go back in a second. If in the area, this is well worth a visit.

Lori C.

Yelp
The food was wonderful here, and the servers attentive and kind. My husband had the Buffalo filet and creamed spinach, and said both were fantastic. I had a filet and a "smoked baked potato" which were both great, but I don't think the baked potato had any smokiness to it. Our cocktails were nice, but not mixed well, as both had simple syrup at the bottom of the glass. We sat outside and enjoyed that for the most part, but there was a couple behind us who shared the same seat the entire dinner. She was in his lap, and at one point had his shirt off. It was more PDA than anyone outside was comfortable with, and the employees "spoke with them" multiple times, getting his shirt back on, but the situation otherwise never changed. It was not a pleasant show for a nice dinner.

Martin R.

Yelp
The Prime Cowboy Ribeye 20 Oz was anything but Prime: Dry, flavorless, overcooked, underweight. AND. NOT. PRIME. MEAT. Selling inferior meat under prime label is not only deceiving the customer, it's also illegal. Neither the Chili nor the dry baked potato pulled this up. The atmosphere is deceptive nevertheless, because it looks quite nice.

Haniel G.

Yelp
No need to post the before, this place was amazing. The picture speaks for itself. Steak cut like butter.

Katherine P.

Yelp
The bisque and Steak were perfection. Service was exceptional. Our table was in one of their private rooms with its own bar/servers. I Highly recommend you book it for your next event.

Mike M.

Yelp
Came as part of my 7,000 mile 30 city food trip research anticipating the daily changing wild game platter. Arrived with a reservation and they asked me if I still preferred a table instead of bar. I enjoy doing food photos and saw the bar was poorly lit so I asked to keep my table. For appetizer I ordered the soul belly (sweet and smoky rubbed pork belly on collards). The pork belly tasted flash fried as it was very crispy and semi dry. I actually enjoyed the collards more as it has great acidic and salty balance. The wild game this day included Venison chop with peppercorn, 2 country fry battered Quail with wild mushroom brandy cream, and a perfectly medium rare Buffalo filet. The star as I said was the filet and also the brandy cream. The venison was cooked nicely but the peppercorns which I usually enjoy were a bit aggressively overpowering. My minor pet peeve here revolves around staff members standing around talking negatively about a large party From afar. My server was absolutely amazing and not part of it. When their party of 16 had 14 chairs, the staff tried to add 2 chairs but the party rightfully wanted another table added to the end. I saw the manager passive aggressively counting with hands and say "oh so you have 16 instead of your 14." Came across as very pretentious. Main course 5. App 3. Server 5. Manager vibe 3.

Yelp
Lovely spot for a late lunch after visiting The 6th Floor Museum. The restaurant is subdued, not too Western kitschy (just enough), and the perfect spot for catching up with dear friends-since you can actually hear them. Two in my group had steaks, I had a salad with grilled chicken. All excellent and cooked to order. We shared a bone marrow sundae, a new experience, which turned out to be a very positive experience. The waitstaff was attentive, but didn't attempt to insert themselves into the group. Would happily go there again.

Dean S.

Yelp
Decided on Y.O. Ranch for my group's annual steakhouse dinner while traveling. Interior was nice atmosphere, was a touch surprised it wasn't more crowded for a Friday night dinner rush hour. Steaks, sides, appetizers were all very good but nothing was "to die for" or memorable. Dessert offerings I would say were a little on the lazy side, only the crème brûlée appeared to be homemade. Service was above average, I was also surprised how quickly our food arrived after ordering. It was no more than like seven minutes and we had our food. Never felt rushed, just that it was really quick. Wine bottle prices were outrageously inflated. This meal was a success 4/5.

Mary S.

Yelp
Excellent steakhouse. What makes this steakhouse different from my experience is YO offers game meats. My husband had the buffalo steak, and I had the filet mignon. The Buffalo steak was better. Extremely tender and tasty. Our server Alan was beyond awesome. He was knowledgeable about the restaurant. He educated us on the items in the menu. The ambiance is western ranch decor. The building is in the historic downtown Dallas, so the arches in the building are over 100 years old from what I read. For dessert, try their bread pudding. You will not be disappointed.

S L.

Yelp
The food and ambience were wonderful! We went to celebrate my daughter's birthday and even though it was a busy Saturday night, the service was fast and the food was excellent. Highly recommend.

John K.

Yelp
The food was great! The service was excellent. Very good atmosphere. Necie and Melissa made our event very special. GREAT JOB LADIES!! I highly recommend!!

David R.

Yelp
Amazing place for steak. Also had the collard greens and I highly recommend. Don't leave without finishing with the bone marrow ice cream

Thomas L.

Yelp
Fantastic steakhouse in The West End of Dallas. This is the kind of place I was searching for all through Texas on the trip. I like that ambiance. They had the old-fashioned atmosphere of a classic Salon. Since it was lunch time, we ordered a Steak sandwich and Steak Salad. Both are outstanding, and steak was probably the best I had on the trip. I strongly recommend this place if you are looking for a great steakhouse in the Dallas area. The service was just incredible as well.

Justin P.

Yelp
From the ambiance to the food to the service, YO Ranch Steakhouse delivers, making my experience top quality. I don't typically visit these high end restaurants, but thanks to a timely business trip, I now have high expectations on how a steakhouse should operate. We were offered a 3 course menu, with a few other goodies thrown into the mix. My first course was a smoked corn bisque. The flavor balance between the sweet corn, the bacon and the cheese made the first couple of spoons delightful. It did end up getting pretty filling (which hurt me later in the meal). They provided us with fried pimento cheese balls and, I believe it was fried pork belly. No complaints about either of those, they were great. The star of the show was the meat. I got the 14 oz prime aged ribeye. Easily one of the best steaks I've ever had. It was cooked perfectly as requested, and the rub added to the lovely experience. The ribeye was tender, juicy, and the highlight of the evening. Their choices for sides only complemented to the meal, Brussel sprouts and green beans for some green on the plate, and then mac and cheese and mashed potatoes to just send you in food heaven. At this point, I will in a food coma, but how could you forget dessert? Their Jack Daniel's Pecan pie was delectable, though I could only have a few bites. I wish I had more room for it. It was rich, but not too heavy. Not too sweet either, which was a plus for me. Not only was the food great, but the service was some of the best service I've ever had. We came in with a party of over 30 people, and their attentive staff were unfazed. I even remember when they came to pick up my plates, I would pick them up to hand them over. They swiftly told me to put them down as they would grab them for me. Now that's top tier service right there! I really wish it would be possible for me to visit more often, but I'll definitely cherish my opportunity. YO Ranch Steakhouse set the bar high!

Yelp
Went here on Saturday to celebrate my husband's birthday. We had a 5pm reservation. We were seated promptly in the back dining room. Waiter greeted us right away and he was very friendly. I ordered the El Jefe - it was good but a little sweet for my taste. I followed up with a shot of Don Julio Anejo. We had the Nashville hot chicken fried oysters and the YO salad for appetizers. The oysters were good with a little kick. They were different but we did enjoy them. I had the chicken fried lobster and the man had the cowboy. Both meals were delicious; seasoned nicely and cooked perfectly. The crowd was mixed in age and dress. We will definitely go again. We spent about $250 with tip.

Yelp
After a visit to the always somber but historic Sixth Floor Museum, I had dinner at YO Ranch Steakhouse. The restaurant is only two blocks away from the Museum and I guarantee you it is well worth the short walk. Upon entering, I was one of the first diners for tonight's dinner service. After you read this review you'll know why this must be on your must eat at lists when in Dallas The Service. The hostess was lovely but appeared bored. Luckily, she did look up and smiled and the sparkle of her smile was very inviting. I was seated quickly in an empty restaurant but it took almost 5 minutes to get a server to notice me. But believe me, it was worth the wait. Her name was Taquita and she was an exceptional server. To put it plainly, Taquita complimented my dining experience better than any food or drink could have. She is an outstanding server. Hopefully management holds onto her. The Food & Drink Before I ate, I had a French 75 which was passable. Not the best but not bad either. If you can move past Taquita's beautiful, hazel eyes, you will be enamored with her superior knowledge of the meats they offer at this establishment, as well as its many cocktails and wines. Upon Taquita's recommendation, I tried Buffalo for the first time. I felt a little guilty, knowing what the buffalo as a species have endured in this country --- but I realized it's been over 100 years, so I felt better. Taquita had recommended the buffalo mignon because she said it was "sweeter" than a regular filet mignon . She could not have been more correct. The cut of meat was an absolutely perfect size at 5 ounces. I paired the buffalo with a baked potato, which also was excellently prepared. Prior to the meal, I had a wedge salad, which was wonderfully presented, and had just enough blue cheese to wet the lettuce as well as the tomatoes and the fresh red onion. I had the buffalo mignon at medium and it was the perfect level. Taquita was so right, it was sweeter than a regular filet mignon and believe me it is well worth the taste. The meat is soft and tender and if you pair it with a Worcestershire sauce, you will have just the right amount of savory and sweet for your palette. The Dessert Once I was done, I couldn't believe I still had room for dessert so, at Taquita's suggestion, I enjoyed the blueberry cheesecake. I've eaten lots of cheesecakes in my life, but this one was head and shoulders one of the best I've ever had. Summary Overall, I must say my experience at YO was tremendously superb. The food was well prepared and really well seasoned, beautifully presented, and tasted absolutely delicious. But the best part was the service. Taquita is probably one of the best servers I've had anywhere and I've eaten at lots of restaurants in the world. She was kind, patient, exquisitely knowledgeable, and always checked in with me at the right times. I will definitely visit YO again. I highly recommend you try it before you leave on your next visit to this wonderful city.

Yelp
Buffalo filet: 5/5 Prime rib eye: 3.5/5 Oysters: 2.5/5 Mac and cheese: 5/5 Cheese fritters: 3.5/5 Mashed potatoes: 2/5 Ambiance: 4.5/5 Service: 4/5 Note: the garlic butter might make the steak a bit too salty, so get it on the side if you want

Yelp
I took a large group of nine to dinner here. The staff were wonderful. They honored a 10% discount coupon from my hotel on a bill that went well above $1,000 for food and drinks. The food was outstanding. All nine of us loved our appetizers, steaks, and desserts. We can't wait to go back. If you need a place for a business dinner or a fun date night, this is the place!

Yelp
We liked the ambiance and location of the restaurant. The hostesses were friendly and prompt. We were there for a special occasion but the experience ended up being kind of dull which I think comes down to the service. Our server didn't give us the attention that is appropriate for a finer restaurant. He forgot to put in our appetizers and just seemed rushed. There are some interesting appetizer menu items among otherwise predictable steakhouse fare, but we didn't get to try any. The server was nice and mistakes happen but it contributed to an overall slightly disappointing experience. We were all satisfied with the food: filet mignon, salmon, and ribeye with the ribeye being the standout- though I wouldn't say anything was exceptional. I wouldn't go back for a special occasion but maybe for a weekend dinner. Maybe.

Yelp
Love YO , one of my favorite steakhouses in Dallas and use to come all the time here .My husband and I came in Friday and Joel was wonderful great service , went above and beyond as you would expect at a steakhouse of Yo's caliber .However we went tonight to have cocktails prior to the Cowboys game around 530 and bartender female slender build was less than helpful , barely a few words spoken and the drink , a Myrtle , which is a signature drink I've had countless times tastes very syrupy and didn't feel comfortable sending it back as it seemed and really didn't want to interact .I know this may be a small thing but they were not busy at all and I love YO and just hate that this is the level of service that is acceptable when as incredible as the food is the service as been a main draw for my husband and I .I think this was just indicative of this particular bartender as this is not usually the norm .This is an update of previous review . Steve, who is a manager at YO promptly reached out to my husband and I and was extremely apologetic about our experience this last visit .I love YO , it's one of a kind , incredible food , ambiance and top notch customer service .I will continue to recommend YO as a must visit restaurant in Dallas !

Yelp
Food was not cooked properly. Steaks were not good, bad for a "steakhouse" Think Sizzler at Mortons prices... I would go elsewhere

Yelp
Really didn't know the history of the restaurant but the interior said it all. It's a Texas steakhouse. The game selection was pretty incredible one of my friends had the Buffalo but I went for the Hunters Plate. The hunters plate featured the venison chop with a blackberry port reduction sauce and an antelope chop with a green peppercorn cognac cream. Both were off the charts. While I am not a Malbec fan, a bottle of the Catina Malbeck was ordered. It was delicious. However, my favorite was the Magdalena featuring Devils River bourbon. I love sampling unique bourbon drinks and this foot the bill Our server was wonderfully personable even on a crowded evening. I believe her name was Tanisha and apologize if wrong. Her service and suggestions helped make the evening! See you when I am back that way.

Yelp
Fantastic Place!!! So good we came back again for dinner. We were visiting Dallas for the Texas State Fair. Arrived mid-afternoon hungry. The Hotel suggested we go check the place out. Best idea of the day!!! We had lunch on Wednesday. No wait, friendly staff at the door. The place was clean and quiet. Our server was so helpful. Drinks, appetizers and a great meal at a decent price. Best lunch in Dallas. So, on Friday night, we decided to try the dinner menu. We made reservations as the place was getting busy. A different server this time. Still the entire staff was fantastic. The manager checks in to be certain all is to your liking. The drinks were made well. The food was what you would hope for in a steakhouse in Dallas. Fantastic. Good portions at a very reasonable price. Ambience is perfect. Not noisy. We usually only eat at a place once per vacation visit, but we just had to go back. It was that good. Again, if in Dallas you must stop by and check this place out. Lunch or dinner, it was the best meal we had in Dallas. Many thanks to the entire staff at Y.O Jeff and Patti B.

Yelp
The food was fantastic, service was great, and if you are interested in adult beverages they make a terrific Old Fashion. I would love to dine here again.

Yelp
Went in today for a team luncheon. The hostess was very welcoming as I waited for the rest of my party to show up. The server took our drink order, but did not offer appetizers or bread. In fact, my colleague had to go find someone to assist with those items. After taking our order, the server got my entree wrong. It would not have been that big of a deal if he hadn't been prepared to argue with me despite everyone at the table agreeing that I ordered exactly what I said I ordered. They brought me out what I ordered and it was good. Not the best steak, but tasty nonetheless . As we were wrapping up our meal, our server approached me and started to take my plate away without asking if I wanted to take it home. Keep in mind that I split my entree in half for later. I asked him if he was going to box it up for me, he then let the plate go and said, "I'll bring you a box." I mean, I didn't expect him to box it up, but why are you taking my food, Sir? Overall all, the vibe and the food were good, although a steakhouse without baked potatoes was a little perplexing. The server needs additional training. **Update: owner reached out below, I called him back with no response.

Yelp
The Y.O. Ranch Steakhouse was a great place for us to finish our long day. Located within walking distance to the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in the West End. The steakhouse itself had 2 different dinning areas that can give you 2 different experiences. 1 looked more elegant while the other had much more of a ranch feel. We sat in the ranch area which was perfect with the antlers lights and Longhorns decor. The staff was great! Our waiter, Antonhyo was exceptional. Friendly and very knowledgeable of the menu. I started off with an exquisitely made Old Fashion and some fresh warm bread with unsalted butter. Like I said, it was a long day, so the old fashion hit the spot. The menu had all sorts of meats available, but I decided on the Prime New York Strip that was cooked flawlessly medium-rare. For my 2 sides I had Roasted Brussels Sprouts with Bacon and Mashed Potatoes. I didn't order any appetizers because the sides were large and can feed a few people. I always heard growing up that kids hated Brussels Sprouts, but if they had these, they would be big fans of them. The Mashed Potatoes were great and had the perfect blend of creaminess and herbs. To pair with my strip I had a nice Malbec. I will definitely be coming back to this steakhouse for their service and food. They have some wild game and seafood options that I would like to try.

Yelp
Great service with Marcos. Even got a great breakfast recommendation for the next day. We had the wild game mixed platter. Super tender and great flavor.

Yelp
This place is amazing! Atmosphere, service and food are top notch! Drinks are so good as well. Not enough can be said about the customer service. My steak was a little undercooked. They immediately took care of the situation. Definitely recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
This as an amazing lunch. My husband and I shared the venison roll ups. It was perfect. Great service and loved the atmosphere.
