Traditional, wood-paneled pub featuring a long bar & many TVs tuned to sports, plus pool tables.
"A bar-cum-pub that doesn’t serve much in the way of food, Yucatan Bar is where you come when you want to watch three or more sports at once. This big Stoke Newington spot isn’t particularly focused on the feelgood factor, but it does have more screens than beers on tap, as well as pool tables and darts. If you ask nicely (and buy enough drinks), they’re more than happy for you to order in as well. The Best Turkish Kebab is just a few doors up." - Jake Missing
"Watching England matches at The Yucatan is a cultural kaleidoscope. Old blokes wrapped in flags crumbling into the walls, shiny happy young things sat with pints of pale ale near the screens, and men from the local Orthodox Jewish community at the bar. Fans have to pay to get in, there’s a token system for booze, and everyone might end up soaked in beer if ( ... When?) England score, but it’s all pretty wonderful, really." - James Bird
"With five big screens and 15 TVs, the Yucatan is a fine example of a sports bar with all the character of a dodgy local. The décor is mismatched, there’s a lively, ever-so-slightly intimidating atmosphere for football matches, and there are no sophisticated food or beer options to speak of. But that’s not the point." - Adam Coghlan, James Hansen, Andrew Leitch, Tom Ford
