Health department shuts down Yum Cha, Belly Bombz, Holy Shrimp, and more - Eater Vegas

"The Southern Nevada Health District shut down Yum Cha, the dim sum restaurant at 4945 W. Tropicana Avenue after health inspectors found a rat infestation on February 6. The routine inspection revealed “rat droppings and urine on liners that cooked dumplings stored in dim sum pots; on food packages, containers, and shelves; on prep table shelves where cooking racks are stored; and in containers of utensils including rolling pins and tongs,” KTNV reports. Even the exit door handle had rat droppings on it. The rats left gnaw marks and droppings on bags of flour. Old food on the floor and excessive grease on equipment added to the problem. The restaurant reopened on February 14 with a three-demerit A grade." - Susan Stapleton

I came here because my friend told me it was good, and was she right! I ordered the following dimsum items: duckfeet, beef in rice paper wrap, turnip cake, chinese broccoli, shumai, xiao long bao, tendons, and custard buns. I will order these again - the tendons were new to me as a dimsum item, and I really enjoyed it. Please note that they charge for hot tea, and I got a refill so I got charged twice, boo. The ambiance is fine, it just feels like a huge dining hall of like an old diner, but its fine cuz that means there's plenty of seating and minimal wait.

I was very happy that I saw the sign out front and got a craving for Chinese. This is very authenticate, no flatware dropped at the table. I'm sure it is available on request. The Kung Pao chicken was the best that I've ever had. Normally, I ask for extra spicy, so I am glad that I didn't this time as it had very good heat. The hot sour soup again had the right amount of heat, and I have never had better. The atmosphere is nice, and the dining area and what I could see of the kitchen were very clean. I thought the prices were good for the portions and will definitely return.

Google
Fast friendly service with very tasty food. Been back a few times for the seafood dumpling noodle soup. Other items are hit and miss, but staples like the shrimp roll, pot stickers, and shu mai are all really good. Always try different items when I come, but never miss the seafood dumpling noodle soup. Always order ahead for easy takeout with no wait.

Food was meh. Based on there reviews I was excited. I felt a load of msg was splashed on with every dish.

Overall, this spot has potential! While the service can vary from minimal to average, this time we were pleasantly surprised by a very sweet lady who seemed to be the manager. I appreciate that they offer a wide variety of vegetarian dim sum, which is a nice change from the usual offerings at dim sum restaurants. Everything we ordered was quite good, but one downside was that they used paper plates. Here’s what we tried: - Shu Mai - Pork Spare Ribs - Crispy Taro Pancake - Baked BBQ Pork Bun - Beef Rice Noodle - Golden Sand Lava Custard Bun Most items were typical and nothing overly extraordinary, except for the Golden Sand Lava Custard Bun. It was absolutely delicious! Although it’s not something I would typically order, our sweet server highly recommended it, and I'm so glad we listened. It was a standout dish that I can't stop raving about!

Google
This is fast and simply tasty Dim Sum. The best Hong Kong Egg Tart recipe in town guaranteed! I would recommend for the service which is attentive and caring. They really love serving this community with their hand made food.

Google
Came in at around 1500. BLUF: Food is bad and not sure how it has 4*, overpriced for what they serve. Breakdown of food is as following, out of 10: - shrimp rice roll: 4, skin is too thick and shrimp to skin ratio is closer to 1:4. At least it arrives hot unlike the other ones. - chinese brocolli: 7, actually edible and can be something to expect at chinese restaurant - shu mai: 3, arrived warm but doesnt feel fresh. Greasy and does not taste any shrimp at all. Just. Pure. Grease - Har gow/shrimp dumpling: 2, skin is not springy, just falls apart/disintegrates. Shrimp tastes frozen, does not taste fresh. Overall I had better frozen shrimp dumpling from Costco. Didn't come hot. - pork and veg on tofu roll: 3, greasy and doesnt taste good. Also didnt come in hot. - steamed eggplant: 2, no taste and is just oily. Some part is undercooked. - beef & radish flat noodle: 1, noodle just fall apart and no consistency, beef is tough and veg is undercooked. Per my gf : "My ancestor will roll over if they know how bad they butcher this dish". - tofu pudding and ginger sauce: 3, tofu pudding taste like a store bought ones, but sauce is trash.. did not taste the ginger at all. Not sure if they are bad bc they cook those in the breakfast time and just put it on the heater the whole time, or if just the quality is bad. I usually finish my food no matter how bad it is because I am a cheap person, but this is the first time I walk away from food without to go box.

Google
First off, the dim sum was great. I could not say anything for the other food items. The stuffed eggplant is definitely worth going to this place for. The service was good. I got my order quick so that is good. The atmosphere is something I would expect out of a dim sum restaurant. It is average.

Yelp
I've had Yum Cha a couple times now and I have to say that it's becoming one of my favorites so far. They really do all of my favorites just right. Took our friends to try Dim Sum for the first time, yes FIRST TIME!! So choosing Yum Cha as a first time experience has to mean something right? Ordered our usuals plus more for everyone to try. I LOVE their rice noodle rolls here. So silky, hot & fresh every time. They have a great selection of dim sum and regular menu items. We had over 20+ items some were of multiples. I love that they have photos on the menu!! It makes ordering so much easier and inviting for those who want to try dim sum for the first time. Why do I keep forgetting to take pictures? The hunger takes over me lol. Of all the dim sum spots we have tried so far, Yum Cha has the BEST customer service. They check in just enough, quick with clearing empty tins, and the flow of dim sum came out great.. every time we ordered more or needed anything they came by with ease. They don't have military discount (my husband asked) but the nice man who checked us out was so sweet and offered us some sesame balls. He definitely didn't have to but It did feel great! Though the inside looks a little school cafeteria style, those are usually the places with the best foods. The ambiance isn't modern or updated at all but It is very spacious. Anyways the highlights of our meal for my taste: Beef rice noodle rolls , the "football", spicy pork and shrimp wontons, sugarcane shrimp. Come with a group and try It all.

Yelp
Card transactions have 3% charge. Coming from a predominantly Asian community, can't go on vacation without having Asian food. This place really hits the spot if you need that brunch dim sum kick or whenever you wake up from a crazy Vegas night. They serve dim sum all day long. I've only really ordered dim sum, not their entrees. Shrimp+ Pork Chive Dumpling- pan fried crispy outside, filled with lots of chives. Pork was juicy, flavorful. Shrimp+ Pork Shumai- ugly but tasty, they don't top theirs with anything like other places do which makes it look very grey and dull. Pork is much leaner than fat which I prefer, still juicy. Soft Grated Coconut Mochi- coconut had a perfect sweetness. Mochi was a good texture. Shrimp Rice Noodle (cheung fun)- very silky. Lotus Leaf Pork Mushroom Sticky Rice- very fragrant, rice wasn't too mushy. Filling as flavorful. Eggplant Tofu- (vegetable tofu entree) wasn't that great, eggplant skin was very tough. Wouldn't recommend.

Yelp
Dim Sum starting from $5.68 each. Nice and patience service. Clean dining area. Porridge is just so so.

Yelp
First time here and we had good eats. The dim sum were delicious. The customer service is good. Thee only thing is that they add the tip, I guess when your party of six. We reallly enjoyed it.

Yelp
New I had to end my weekend in Vegas with a delicious meal and Dim Sum was the answer! With a group of 12, I'm surprised there wasn't a wait. There were different sections with the listed prices. I got to try out the Pork + Veg Tofu Skin Roll, BBQ Pork Puff Pastry, Shrimp Rice Noodle, Shrimp + Pork Shumai, and Spicy Shrimp + Pork Wonton. My favorites were the shumai and shrimp rice noodle! So many more options than the typical back at home. I wish I had the stomach to try out more of the items but it means I'm have to come back next time!

Yelp
This place is amazing! We were given recommendations for soup and dessert, and let me tell you, they did not disappoint! especially their take on the filled pineapple bun. Whatever custard that was inside is delicious! Very good dim sum in Las Vegas! Service was great and the restaurant is pretty big.

Yelp
I usually eat dim sum at Ping Pang Pong. I wanted to try somewhere different, so I Yelped it and ended up here. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I heard the workers speaking Cantonese when I walked in. I felt a little better. It wasn't too busy and we got seated right away. I gave my order to the waiter and he brought the food from the kitchen. No push cart here. I got my usuals which are the shrimp dumplings $6.68, black bean spareribs $5.68 and chicken feet $5.68. I also tried two of their specials that you don't find at too many places, sugar cane shrimp $7.28 and shrimp stuffed eggplant $8.78. The hubby doesn't eat pork, so he was happy that they had chicken shumai $5.68, chicken sweet & sour roll $5.68. Those two are rare. It's the first time I've seen them at dim sum. For dessert we ordered red bean jin dui $5.68 and tofu fa with ginger syrup served hot $6.68. They supposedly have the best in town. I found everything that we ordered exceptional and very authentic. The shrimp dumplings came with four pieces and they were huge and fresh. My favorite was the sugar cane shrimp. The fried minced shrimp were so good, especially dipped in the sweet sour sauce. The tofu fa was buttery smooth and hit the spot. I would have preferred more ginger syrup. We also ordered a pot of hot tea, which we were charged $4.

Yelp
Mrs. E. and I were on assignment in neighboring Henderson and discovered Yum Cha from a Yelp search. What little Dim Sum I've had has me wanting for more. While I'm no expert, this eatery was incredible. Lunch time may have been a bad time to visit, but, the server was on top of things and totally undaunted. The restaurant is quite spacious and more modern than traditional. A vast tasty menu with fast service and wonderful food? An easy Five Star establishment. 07/24

Yelp
Not very good service here. For credit cards, they skim you 3%. Foodwise, I like that they offer dim sum all day and they also offer congee and fish all noodle soup but it all tasted bland. The fishball noodle soup broth had that nasty water aftertaste. Dim sum wise, the chicken feet were decent, the shrimp wrapped in rice noodle was nasty (noodle was too thick and stale tasting). The sticky rice was ok but it is hard to mess up on sticky rice. Vibe wise, it's not bad but was pretty empty which isn't a good sign. Doubt I'd come here again unless I was desperate for dim sum.

Yelp
Thoroughly delicious. Decided to stop by and get a to go order for a 6 hour drive home. Although it's always a long and boring ride, the food made it bearable. Will be back when I return to the Vegas area.

Yelp
Must try dumplings. This is my favorite restaurant in town. The service is always fast and friendly and it is always clean and affordable. Get there early because once they run out of their baked lava custard buns they are done for the day. Try their new appetizer spicy shrimp wontons. They are delicious!

Yelp
10/10 go to dim sum place for us whenever we're in town. really brings back childhood memories and vibes of Hk yum cha places. Even their interior design on the ceiling has those Chinese bamboo bird/canary cages back in the day hanging all over! Of course not actually with birds inside. just the aesthetic though and spacious seating. Lots and lots and lots of dim sum to choose from and pricing and waitlist of food is very competitive and affordable. Again, pretty legit to Hk style. Their egg tarts and salted egg lava bao pastry is Crispy and hot, be careful when you bite inside because the filing is hot & runny like its name Lava. sooo delicious the traditional dim sum spread with siu mai, lotus beef pork mushroom sticky rice, shrimp dumpling, beef/shrimp steam noodle roll, beef tripe, beef ball w/tofu skin, steamed pork ribs w/taro, chicken feet, fried mochi balls with pork and mushroom fillings (so crispy and chewy and addicting!), egg tarts, lava custard bao and steamed brown sugar sponge cake etc. Cannot go wrong with whatever you choose. It comes to your table steaming hot and fresh and worth the wait. Go to spot for dim sum!

Yelp
I always visit this dim sum spot when I'm in town but never got around to writing a review until now. There is plenty of parking outside so no need to worry about that but it can get crowded so be wary. The inside dining hall is spacious and definitely suitable for large groups. When it is busy they will have carts going around so you can pick and choose if you like what you see. I always get the shrimp dumplings and fried pork balls. From there we get some type of entree, probably one with shrimp. You can't go wrong with some shumai as well. The shrimp dumplings were off on this occasion, mushy and didn't taste as fresh as they did the last time I went. The fried pork balls were great as always, perfectly crispy on the outside with chewy mochi and pork inside. The honey walnut shrimp was tasty but pretty small portion for the price. Overall, not the best meal I've had here but I will certainly be back for the fried pork balls.

Yelp
This place was great! The selection of dim sum was amazing, they had everything you could possible want and more. In addition to the all day dim sum they had a regular menu with tons of options for Chinese food. The place was your typical Chinese restaurant but I appreciated how you can see the kitchen and all the food being prepared. The service was also great, our waiters gave lots of recommendations and everything came out fast but fresh. Egg tart is not something I usually pick at dim sum but our waiter insisted that it was the best in all of Las Vegas so we decided to give it a try. It was amazing!! Definitely a must of you visit!

Yelp
Came here on a Sunday around noon. There was plenty of parking in the large parking lot. The inside wasn't very busy for the large space, but there were a few groups inside. Some people were ordering entrees while others were ordering dim sum. We were there for dim sum. We decided to get the pork + shrimp shumai, baked bbq pork bun, radish cake, bean sauce chicken feet, steam pork ribs with taro, shrimp dumpling, lotus leaf sticky rice, and xiao long bao. It was a bit pricier than my go-to dim sum spot in SGV but they had options my go-to doesn't such as the lotus leaf sticky rice and xiao long bao. I would have liked to try the fried pork ball, steam brown sponge cake, fried pork taro dumpling, and and beef tripe, but the two of us weren't hungry enough for all of that. Everything was delicious and fresh. The xiaolongbao were okay, tasted good but not very special to me and not the best price. This was the only major disappointment. On the bright side the lotus leaf sticky rice was delicious and had a single slice of Chinese sausage inside, the radish cake was done excellent because of how crisp and hot it was, and the chicken feet were cooked perfectly and had great flavor. I would come here again to try some of the same things and new things. The service was also quick and efficient.

Yelp
Came by for take-out on a Thursday morning - service was fast, but not overly friendly (which is fine). Their egg tarts aren't too sweet, which I appreciated.

Yelp
Dim sum after a late night out always hits the spot for me. It was my first time trying this Vegas spot since I'm from out of town. Luckily this place was a gem. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with traditional Chinese pieces and more unorthodox style. Cute. The service here is extremely efficient. I loved the quick service and clean presentation of our food. The portions were very good. The bao and shumai were so soft and had freshly cooked tender textures with erratic sweet-umami taste.I think the savory tender meats and soupy sensations were healing my hangover. The chicken feet were made well and had satisfying flavor. I always fill up fast at dim sum as was the case here. The taro had crispy texture and lovely soft inner chews steamed with heat.. yum. I'd come back for sure if i was ever needing a quick dim sum fix in LV. It checked all my boxes and had a great menu with other non dim sum options. Sweet spot!

Yelp
4/12/2024- Had to hit up a dim sum place before heading home.. This was nearby and fairly busy.. Menu has dim sum/vegan/ and Chinese plates.. Portion size was decent- Shrimp balls were big and the black bean spareribs were tender and seasoned .. Service attentive.. Glad we stopped..

Yelp
Every March, I attend a college basketball tournament that is West of the Strip at the Orleans Hotel and Casino. I stay away from the Strip as much as possible because crossing Hwy 15 can be challenging. Thankfully there is a thriving Chinatown just North of the Orleans Hotel that is really accessible and just West of Hwy 15 and the Strip. Now that we have the geography lesson out of the way, Yum Cha has become one of my favorite Dim Sum restaurants in Las Vegas. It's located near the Orleans and offers a huge menu of Dim Sum specialties', noodles, soups and other entrees. I came for the Dim Sum and left totally full and happy. I had Shrimp Dumplings, Baked BBQ Pork Buns ( I can help it, I love them) and Veggie Hot Sour Soup. (Tofu, wood-ear mushroom, bamboo shoot, carrot seasoned w/ vinegar & black pepper in egg thick soup) Staff is super helpful and a great resource to learn about offerings you may not be familiar with. Prices are excellent. Matt says eat on the right side of the Strip next time. You have to try this place!

Yelp
When I asked my first boss out of college why he always ate dessert before the appetizers and main courses he responded with a smile, "I never want to miss it!" That man was a starting lineman who went to K-State, and would always have your back in bar fight. In fact, when he was around no fights happened. Fast forward to recent history, I got yelled at numerous times by a past partner who tried to preach and restrict how food could be consumed. Fries before the burger was a complete travesty, she'd literally shout "wtf are you doing, eat the burger first!" I was too shocked to reply. The moral of this story, you can consume a feast however you see fit, especially when it comes to dim sum. Order the full menu, eat it how you like, it's doesn't matter. If these real events inspired you, trust me, drop that partner like a bad habit.     As for the feast that inspired this, the legendary Yum Cha included the Crab Rangoon [Salad made with crab or imitation crab typically tossed in seasioning and mayonnaise], Fish Cakes, DS6 Steam BBQ Pork Bun, DS2 Chives Dumplings, DS1 Shumai (Shrimp Pork) Dumplings, Lo Mein, and many more which I should have notated from the menu but I can not match the photos. Honestly, it doesn't matter I would try anything there and be happy! The spot was a lot of fun too, great for dates to large parties. The service is quick, and the food comes out fast. One aspect that still perplexes me about spots like this?    How does the chef know how to make so many different items? OMG. Reminds me of the comedy sketch by Jimmy O. Yang on how Chinese chefs are the real heroes!

Yelp
Pretty darn good! Egg fuyong was very tasty with the sauce Salt and pepper calamari needed more salt and pepper. Kinda bland but nice size pieces. Husband loved the tripe and chicken feet! Hong Kong crispy noodles were awesome! Crispy pork belly...awesome! Will definitely try other dishes!

Yelp
based on the good reviews, today we tried it for the first time. First impression was minimal decor and relatively clean. We ordered the classic dim sum, disappointed. Generally the flour wrapping, including HaGao and shrimp churnfun (rice noodle wrapped shrimp), were mushy and thick. the shrimp in the churnfun were small and the curry sauce was watery and tasteless (mixed in with potato bits and beans, weird!). The shiumai has no meat flavor but certainly MSG and lots of grease. The shui lung bao was a mere small mouthful of grease. In general the food tasted bland! The Chrysanthemum Tea has hot water with a few petals. Pricey for the quality, or lack of! For the price they charged, I could have gotten better value at other eateries. Pro: relatively clean, lots of servers. conclusion: we believe everyone deserves one chance, and that was the first and last for us.

Yelp
honestly can't beat the price and tasted like good quality dim sum. some dishes come out slower than others, especially if you had a large group of 14 like us HAHAHA

Yelp
This is a nice quick fix location. Been here multiple times. They are fast, food is good. Servers are ok, don't expect friendly. They sit you down give you a menu ask you are you ready and that's it. For me it's a nice place to get a quick fix of your craving food. My favorite to go are the sweet buns and tart.

Yelp
So?! What does one do when they get to Las Vegas besides gamble?! We eat extraordinary food, that may not be available to us, where we live... and, go to neat little excursions to make our trips even more memorable... Last Sunday morning, I had a craving for dim sum... I always knew that Las Vegas has a wonderful ChinaTown, and I have been extremely fortunate to have tried some off the beaten path / not so beaten path yummy joints... though, never dim sum (besides, of course Din Tai Fung)... I look up where to go, I search the FB boards, I reviewed YELP! and, I found this place - which?! I am so happy, I listened to my gut and went... We were one of the few caucasians and in that... I always find comfort - because, it indirectly shares with me that this is a place that is found favorable amongst the type of culture the food represents.. The service was amazing - everyone, was so welcoming and wanted to do the best by us... and, the large expansive room was comfortable with plenty of booths and large tables, if you are a huge party... The pricing was more than reasonable and the food was pretty damn delicious. We had the quintessential dim sum food and they did not disappoint. I would totally recommend going here, if you want something off the strip AND a menu that will literally provide you everything you could possibly imagine when it comes to this type of food. 100%Jordsified. #ThatsMyByte

Yelp
Upon sitting down, I was asked what type of tea I would like to drink.  Ahh, the traditional tea house question that most tea houses no longer ask. I was pleasantly surprised which raised my expectation of this place.  I asked for Jasmine tea. I ordered the traditional dishes, nothing out of the ordinary, but they were made well, excellent I may say. Crispy Taro Pancake was fried crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Pineapple Bun filled with Golden Sand Lava Custard (what a Marketing name), their most popular item was indeed the best dish I ordered.  Oh, the slightly sweet crust, the soft sweet bread, the salty and sweet egg yolk custard, all in one.  And the whole thing had just the right sweetness.  This is the best filled Bolo Bao I've ever had, and I have had many from the SF area. Har Gow Shrimp dumplings were good, just standard. Egg Custard was also top notch, Flaky crust, soft fillings. Tofu skin roll did not disappoint. I walked 10 miles total from and to the Strip to eat here.  It was worth the exercise.

Yelp
We ordered takeout and forgot to take pictures because we were hungry! We enjoyed all the food and I think they were pretty good given it's to go. I'm sure it would be tastier fresh eaten at restaurant. We got: Pork and century egg congee 4/5 Black bean Chicken feet 4/5 Shu Mai 3/5 Shrimp rice noodle 4/5 Lotus leaf pork mushroom sticky rice 4/5 Fried pork balls (football shaped) 4/5 Sesame balls 4/5 I was hoping to try the golden sand lava custard buns but they were sold out and making fresh ones which would take 30 minutes that I didn't have. I will definitely have to try it next time. Credit card charge 3% extra as clearly posted.

Yelp
I haven't been in here for maybe 3-4 years When I first moved to Vegas, I went to different dim sum places and see who are the best here in Vegas Of course Yum Cha is one of must tried, but until before the Pandemic, they got on the news "Dirty Dining" I stopped going. 4 years later, seeing they are still in business, I thought they should deserve a second chance from me. Also seeing lots of good reviews on Yelp, why not. First impression walking in, the place is clean, lady at the front can give some smile on her face, but is pretty much typical Chinese restaurant server, they look like they mad at the world. They serve dim sum Hong Long style, many difference choices, and I also notice some dishes are Malaysian style, so I knew either the owner or the chef is Malaysian. I ordered the Hainanese roasted Chicken, Curry Shrimp Chung Fun, also the Green thing that look like a turtle (which is Malaysian snack with coconut inside) Curry Shrimp Chung Fun, Shrimp Chung Fun is Hong Kong Dim Sum, but adding Curry on it making it Malaysian style. It was 3/5, because the flavor not heavy enough, combined both Hong Kong and Malaysian style is not perfect. Hainanese Roasted Chicken I give it 2/5 The Chicken seem like been sitting out for awhile, way too dry, rice is too much water, the chinese broccoli is cold, should be hot. The Green turtle with coconut inside, not seeet enough, need to add more Palm Sugar Overall, 3 out of 5

Yelp
This dim sum place serves good food. I am kind of upset at their lack of customer service. Would be nice to update your website or have a recording stating "sorry due to the holidays or whatever it is, we don't take any take out order!" Saturday I tried calling several times. Someone would pick up then hang up. I drove all the way to the restaurant. Lime was long. I got to the register. The manager or owner was entering the receipts. Yes they were busy. I waited some time in line like everyone else. When it was my turn I said "can I place an order to go?" The man rudely pointed to a note on the wall saying they will not take any to go orders" It upset me that 1- restaurant phone is not working 2- drove all the way there for nothing Your food is delicious but where is the customer service? Update your website! Put a message on your phone number so people don't drive for nothing!communicate!

Yelp
Nice place for dim sum while in Vegas. It can get crowded around lunch time but coming early will beat the rush. Their soy tofu flower is the best. As for all the other dishes they were average. The kids did not like the hot dog in a bun. Service was good. The place is spacious and has a lot of tables. The portion sizes were smaller to be expected. We eat dim sum every other weekend in SoCal so we're used to the portion sizes of the restaurants around the OC. So even though the prices were decent at Yum Cha but with smaller portion sizes, it can get pricy feeding 4 people especially with the higher sales tax in Vegas. But it's still a good place to stop by for dim sum.

Yelp
Ordered food on the phone with he person on the phone is very friendly offered other entrees besides the Chicken sweet and sour and the hot and spicy soup. Good parking lighted area found parking immediately. The restaurant looks clean and organized, I was excited to get my first to try the chicken sweet and sour rated 3 out of 5 It was tasty and acceptable but it was not the best- there's good amount of carrots and pineapple so it was ok. Hot and sour was so salty that we did not bother to eat. Sorry :( Probably a good place for Dimsum, must try for that.

Andrea P.

Yelp
We came at 3:30 pm for dim sum and instead of carts you chose off the menu. Everything then came out hot fresh and delicious. We will definitely come back. Really good dim sum with a lot of nice choices. The restaurant is clean and the staff are pleasant.

Yelp
Five stars is based on food and service. If you are a stickler for cleanliness, go to din tai fung. Looking for great food, stop here. 10 groups in front of us and it was a 30 minute wait.not bad as we stopped by on a busy day. They were so busy, they had a sign saying no take out orders. No carts here and you order from a menu. Food comes out quick. The lo mein was one of the best I've ever had. Perfect for my picky 3 and 5 year old. Chicken feet and magic rice were highlights. The pork and shrimp shumi was ok. Service was actually great. Owners greeted the tables. Worth a try!

Yelp
After seeing the decent ratings on Yelp, I arrived here on a weekday for dim sum. I arrived right when they opened, and there was ample parking. My parents were in the Cantonese restaurant business when I was a teenager, and I'm third generation ABC. I've eaten dim sum since I was a kid and was fortunate to experience dim sum in Hong Kong, Singapore, New York and San Francisco, not to mention So Cals San Gabriel valley, which has dim sum eateries on every block. I recall going to old China Town in Los Angeles every week with my dad on Mondays to pick up restaurant supplies, and we would pick up several boxes of piping hot dim sum. Don't expect any push carts here. You'll need to check off the dishes you want off an order form. The eatery was hardly busy, so I suspect the people that were eating here were tourists like me. We ordered the basic steam dim sum entrees, but everything tasted old, flavorless, and to be quite frank, the worst dim sum I've ever experienced in my life. I'm not sure what's going on here, but seriously, the food was nasty. It was so bad I left most of the food there so they could trash it. I would advise you to avoid this restaurant unless you feel like getting totally ripped off. This establishment may have been decent at one time but has definitely taken a turn for the worse.

Yelp
Love, love this place. My family and I got their beef chow fun, five different dumplings, fried rice, and orange chicken. Everything was delicious ESPECIALLY THE BEEF CHOW FUN.

Yelp
The golden sand lava custard bun is amazing. We ordered 8 more to take with us. Best in the country. The manager stopped by to say hi and thank you. A nice clean high quality place.

Yelp
If you're craving dim sum, this is the place to go to! They have a variety of dim sum plates and standard Chinese dishes and I'm sure you'll find something appetizing! The best part is that they serve dim sum all day and is open 7 days a week! The service was on top of it and the ambience was nice and clean. I also love how they have pictures on their menu! We will be back! Please check out our YouTube video on this place! YouTube Channel: Kirk and Rox

Yelp
Favorite dim sum in Vegas! There's not many places that make the shrimp rice rolls and just all around amazing dim sum options. From my favorite chive dumplings, shrimp spring roll, shiu mai to the traditional xiao long bao I truly can't get enough of this place!

Yelp
A little surprised at some of the low-star reviews. We visited 7/11/24, and despite it being 112 outside it was comfortable inside. Some cool signage upon entry about finger tapping during tea service :) Nice colorful laminated menus. We were here for dim-sum but I was impressed by the extensive Chinese items as well. I'd love to come back and try some noodle soup. After ordering several favorites, chef Chen (hope I spelled that right) came by and highlighted some of their baked goods, going into detail how they're made and how he has brought the exacting techniques to Las Vegas. He explained that they only made 'so many' each day, and that they were nearly out of them. The coconut bun and the dessert lava buns were ordered; omigoodness both were delicious, the 'lava' is a sweet egg custard, that was very rich. We loved the coconut buns, soft and airy and just enough sweetness. The shumai were big and delicious, the shrimp-in-noodle superb, and sticky rice yummy. The 3% tack-on for credit cards is unusual, but I think thats the way it should ALWAYS be. Visa/Amex rob us blind daily with their usurious fees driving up costs for everyone. You should always get a discount for paying cash. Also, note their 'suggested tip' is based on the included tax and the 3% add on - this is a pet peeve of mine, you should only tip on food, not tax/fees. We had great service, yummy food, LOVED the visit from chef/owner Chen, we will be back!!!

Yelp
Every time we go to Vegas, and we want dim sum, this is the place to go. They serve dim sum all day long. Majority of the items are reasonably prices. The service is quick. The waiters were very catering. My friends enjoys ' this place. The place is big and plenty of tables so there is no waiting to be seated. Huge dim sum menu. Enjoy!

Yelp
***3% SURCHARGE FOR USING CREDIT CARD*** Food: 5 stars Service: 5 stars 3% surcharge for using credit card: 0 stars Had a great lunch yesterday. All of the regular go to items were HOT. I can't stand cold or even warm food, so I was in Heaven! The thing that left a bad taste was the 3% surcharge for using credit card. Servers were all VERY attentive.

Yelp
A solid dim sum place in Las Vegas My party of 12 was seated in about 5 minutes. It's really spacious on the inside and can seat larger parties together, which I appreciated. We ended up sitting around a big table with a lazy Susan. There aren't the carts that go around, but it is a smaller dim sum location compared to other places that I've been so it makes sense. We ordered about $350 worth of food, which we thought was really good for the price, especially for 12 people. My personal favorite was the pineapple bun. The gooey center was just delicious. All other dim sum I thought tasted average, but still good! Our waitress was so kind and funny. It seemed like she was the only one running around so I appreciated that she kept checking in on us! I highly recommend this place!

Yelp
Great place for Dim Sum in Las Vegas, especially for a large group with an extremely spacious interior and a lazy susan to share dishes. The dim sum dishes were affordable at $5-8 and were delicious!

Yelp
My coworker recommended this so we had to come here. We took an Uber from our hotel Park MGM which was a short ride. They weren't busy when we got there. Bird cages wear hanging on ceiling as decorations. Tv showing how to make drinks. There was a huge selection of food on their menu. Our order was chicken feet, taro cake, shrimp dumpling, shrimp look fun, turnip cake, and cream bun. Male employee highly recommended signature golden sand lava bun. He said the chef is from Hong Kong. Food was yummy which was just as good as dim sum from Oahu, Hawaii. We will definitely come back again on our next vacation.

Yelp
Yum Cha. Sounds tasty doesn't it? Unfortunately a couple of things left a bad taste in my mouth. Four stars and all day dim sum seemed like a sure fire winner. Remember, this is Vegas and in Vegas there is no such thing as a sure thing. Things started well as we arrived about 1&1/2 hours before closing. We were given a cheerful welcome and seated promptly. 1st thing I noticed was a dirty table when the place wasn't even busy. Then, lo and behold, the restaurant was using PAPER PLATES! A sit down restaurant with paper plates. I felt like Han Solo muttering, "I've got a BAD feeling about this ". Then came the menu. Dear Valued Customers. A gratuity of 18% will be added to the bill for party of 4 & more (grammatical errors as written). Gee, gotta pay for those PAPER PLATES somehow right? Now the food itself wasn't bad but a lot of it was barely warm. The only thing that impressed me was the Har Gow with plump shrimp. The baos were undersized, the shumai average, pork riblets lacking, and a decent beef rice noodle. Ping Pang Pong at the Gold Coast isn't losing any sleep over these guys. Maybe this joint was happening once upon a time but that was then and this is now. The kicker that got my goat was after being expected to tip these guys 18% for this disappointment of a dinner, we paid our bill and waited for our waitress to return. After a lengthy wait, she came by to ask if we needed something else. YEAH. OUR CHANGE! After overpaying for this travesty, she looked at us bewildered that we actually expected to get our change back. What? 18% wasn't enough for minimal service but you wanted MORE? I wanted to go full on Bruce Lee at the end of Chinese Connection where he jumps at the crooked cops waiting to take him out at the end of the film. Needless to say I never want to see this place again or even hear its name in my presence. Yeesh.

Yelp
We came here yearning for good dim sum; unfortunately we were disappointed. The shrimp rice noodles were not tasty, and kind of bland. The har gow was similar, not tasty and not a lot of shrimp in there. The shumai was bland and overcooked. The only things that were ok were the fried radish cake and the mushroom dumplings, but they weren't that good just ok. Overall we were disappointed, as we expected something yummy and got items that were not. Sorry no pictures as not warranted. :(
