Where to Get Fair-Inspired Food at Dallas Restaurants - Eater Dallas

"As always, Texans can get their corny dog fix from its food truck in Klyde Warren Park. It carries all the varieties: original, Bird Dog, jalapeno and cheese, veggie dog, Cheezy Pup, and the Make Mine Texan." - Courtney E. Smith

Google
We ordered 3 philly cheesesteaks sandwiches and one pizza, everything was pre made (not fresh). The meat was horrible quality, felt like we got robbed. Food and drinks came to around $68 and nobody finished their food. My sons pizza was super oily.. The napkins overly absorbed the oil and it was still oily. Dude is rude af too.. Do you self a favor and skip this truck. Trust me!!!!

Jay Haapala

Google
Never again. The food was awful. The fries are over seasoned and tasted horrible. The chicken kebab sandwich was awful. Very little chicken, soggy and no flavor. Monumental waste of money for $16~

Kendall Croswell

Google
The food truck was parked at Klyde Warren Park. The food was so absolutely delicious and fresh! Reasonably priced for the quality of food and amazing customer service! I got the chicken pesto stuffer and my friend got the 8”inch cheese pizza and chicken tenders with fries. The fries were well seasoned and the chicken was juicy and crispy! An all around wonderful experience and totally worth trying!

Sasha

Google
Great tasting pizza, took 5 minutes to be ready, and can't beat the location in downtown Dallas at klyde warren park!

Gregg Lively

Google
The worst cheesesteak I've ever had. Small sandwich, very little meat. More like a meat spread than actual meat. Imagine a layer of meat as thick as mayo should be on other sandwiches. $13.

Vicky Abonza

Google
My sandwich was not worth $13, it was cold no other veggies but onions, it didn’t have enough steak meat (just like my pic) and it wasn’t made to order, it was pre- made and cold, (nothing like the outside picture in the truck-false advertisement, the pic, had at least green and red veggies, that’s what caught my eye) I will never buy from them again, I really would like my money back, as I didn’t even get to eat it but went to another food truck. Do not order this item—as I should of read other people’s reviews and they state the same thing.

Emmanuel Contreras

Google
I'm telling you, the price is worth it. I got the philly steak sandwich $10.50. The best thing I've ever tasted. My friend got the chicken Parmesan sandwich and you can see his face over how good it is. EAT HERE

Marissa Rodriguez

Google
First time trying it and was disappointed. Not only did my food taste cold (like it was just sitting there), but I had a frozen fry. I tried going back and asking for fresh food but was ignored twice by the guy at the end because he was on his phone.

Monique H.

Yelp
We had Yummy Pizza for a work event today. I had the Chicken Buffalo pizza. The crust YUMMY, the sauce YUMMY, the chicken and peppers YUMMY. So very good and fresh. Signed, New Fan!
google avatar

Dolores W.

Yelp
Ordered chicken kebab plate. Chicken was overcooked and dry. Could not eat. Vendor rounded the price up.

Dan K.

Yelp
the owner/guy that works the cash register is rude as hell. Food is also terrible. Don't get why you park your truck there if you obviously dont want to be there and dont give a damn about the quality of your food. Sell your truck, and go find a new job.

Yelp
This was my first food truck pizza experience, and I was pleasantly surprised at how good the pizza tasted. We got a vegetarian pizza, and it came out in less than 10 min. The pizza had the right amount of toppings and cheese. I also really liked that the crust was thin and soft (truly "NY style"), and it tasted better than most big-box pizza places. My main quibble with the food was the price and size of the pizza. For $11.50, the pizza is SUPER small, and on top of that the thin crust makes it not very filling. Overall this is a good choice for a quick (but expensive and small) bite when you are craving pizza, especially for the convenience of it.

Yelp
Food was honestly pretty good (I got the 8' pepperoni pizza) service is alright but I would give it 1 more star if it wasn't super greasy
google avatar

Yelp
!Eating Pizza is my favorite things to do, but to find a perfect Pizza is hard. Some Pizzas are too thick, doughy or to thin with no flavor. I go on daily walk depending on the weather. So today I strolled around Clyde Warren's Park today. It was so nice and friendly. On my walk I got a lil hungry. I checked out the Food trucks and I spotted Yummy Pizza. Ok here I go marching up to the truck checking out the menu. Ok, I will take a personal Meat lovers Pizza and a bottle of H20! I waited a few minutes and bam it looked absolutely delicious. I plunged in and OMG, I ATE THE WHOLE PIZZA! It was the best yet ! A must try on anyday. Try it and you will Love it!!

Yelp
Across the street from the art gallery in, Dallas Texas, the walk to the park after a walk in the art gallery is always a enjoyable experience every time I go downtown. I keep a good eye out for all the food trucks! Yummy pizza most definitely was a yummy, tasty pizza! A bit pricey if I say with the size wise, only one choice, and was not able to do half and half on my pizza, yet I was still satisfied with my lunch choice
google avatar

Yelp
I have eaten chef Stevens food numerous times it is well worth your hard earned $ Give them a try, I think you'll agree
google avatar

Jasper S.

Yelp
Quite possibly the worst pizza I've had in my life. Even school cafeteria pizza tastes better. Not to mention their ordering system is wack. I ended up waiting almost an hour because they decided to stop making orders by who ordered first and instead they made a certain number of cheese/pepperoni pizzas done first. So someone who ordered cheese pizza almost an entire HOUR AFTER ME ended up getting their food before I did. Not worth it!
google avatar

Monika J.

Yelp
Tried this food truck while it was at klyde warren park. It was too long of a wait and the people were nice, however the stuffer I ordered was soggy and had too much marinara sauce on it. Wouldn't eat here again or recommend.
google avatar

Joyce C.

Yelp
Yummy pizza has come to our neighborhood twice now. Always good food. A bit of a wait to pick up.
google avatar

Jason O.

Yelp
The pizza looks good. I got a stuffer though, which tasted good. Had mushrooms though and I am not a fan of those. It was kind of small for the price, but that is how expensive most food trucks are.

Rob P.

Yelp
Cheese runs right off the pizza. Over priced. Go elsewhere. Staff of three ignored me while I stood waiting to place an order
google avatar

Greg R.

Yelp
Good Pizza but expensive. However that is to be expected with limited food choices at Klye Warren Park... that and a long wait. Lady who took orders was 100% serious and efficient. No smiles, just let me take your order and take care of business.
google avatar

Yelp
We found these guys at Fair Park during an event. They were one of only 2 trucks at the event. Their menu looked good and we got the Stuffed Brisket Loaded Potato and Brisket Plate which came with 2 sides. We got beans and french fries as our sides. There was not a long line and our food was ready within 5 minutes. The baked potato was great! The jalapenos were a great touch and the potato was huge. There wasn't as much brisket, which was chunky, as I would have expected for the price though. The brisket that came with the Brisket Plate was not that good. It was dry and felt like it had been sitting around for while. The sauce and beans were good though, but the fries were just average, a bit too much seasoning on them. The prices on the website and not accurate, as the prices that day were higher than what is listed.
google avatar

Mindi A.

Yelp
Practically had to beg the guy to take my order, then when it finally arrives its wrong, and he argued with me about it. Horrible employee, mediocre pizza. Go to any other food truck for a better experience.
google avatar

Yelp
I haven't tried very many food trucks but I feel like I'm knowledgeable because I watched "The Great food truck race" on Netflix! But on a serious note Yummy Pizza was really... for lack of a better word yummy! I really enjoyed my food but I felt like it was pretty expensive for what seemed like frozen chicken Parmesan($10). They have a lot of options if you have picky eaters and I'm sure everyone can find something that they like.
google avatar

Noah F.

Yelp
Food carts can have some of the best gems. This New York style pizza won't disappoint. Great flavor within the ingredients.

Yelp
I'm a fan of food trucks. I like quick and portable food and hold them to just about the same standard as restaurants. I mean just because I'm ordering off a truck doesn't mean that I'll tolerate bad food. We were spending a few hours at Klyde Warren Park and out of the mass of food trucks we saw that day, we chose Yummy Pizza for lunch. They serve the usual Italian food fare. I do genuinely appreciate that they serve personal size pizzas that are made to order (8") instead of just by the slice. It guarantees a freshly made pizza which is always a plus! We settled on a classic Pepperoni after looking through the menu because we figured we would get another bite to eat afterwards. For $7.50, we were served a very thin crust pizza. Almost to the point of TOO THIN. I also found the cheese to be of poor quality. None of that stretch factor here even though the pizza was served piping hot. They didn't skimp on the pepperoni which was nice but I expect quality cheese on my pizzas. In addition, the pizza was VERY greasy and REALLY salty. My fiancé didn't mind but he's the type of person who associates grease with flavor while I'm the type of person who definitely dabs at the grease with a napkin. So for me, it didn't work while for my fiancé , it was fine. In short, not sure if I'll try this truck again. I love pizza but I just want BETTER pizza for the price I paid. 3/5

Brandi J.

Yelp
I'm usually not a fan of food trucks, but I was hungry at Klyde Warren Park and couldn't wait until dinner...so Yummy Pizza to the rescue. The flavor was good. The pizza I selected was flavorful, with just the right amount of grease to remind me of my 6th street day's in Austin. Give it a shot if you're hungry. I'm not 100% sure, but I think it was moderately priced too. Enjoy.

Yelp
Super friendly guys and super yummy food. I'm wavering between a 4-star and a 5-star, but nothing was spectacular for me to give this a 5! Although I want to... I've had the meats specialty pizza and the lamb gyro - both were delicious and warmly served. Service can take a while, especially if you're caught in the crowd and/or there's multiple similar orders in a row. The truck guys never rush you though! (They never seem rushed either!) I would say the gyro are slightly (like a dollar or so) more expensive than it's worth. Pizzas are worth the price! I definitely do recommend checking this truck out. (I'm not sure if they are gluten-free, but maybe I just didn't pay attention to the signage. But if they are, that's awesome!)

Yelp
Love this pizza! Go here for lunch! I'm from NY, this pizza is the closet I've had to NY PIZZA! It's so fresh !!!!

Kevin B.

Yelp
Rude and unprofessional staff and the pizza is really greasy and overpriced. I tried to feed it to the dogs and they didn't want it and even tried to give it to the birds and they turned and flew away.
google avatar

Rachel M.

Yelp
Discovered Yummy's at Klyde Warren Park on a beautiful day in Dallas! After waiting for about 10-15 mins for my $10 bowl of penne with meatballs, I was not dissatisfied. Meatballs were great, penne wasn't awful, and I had to request a side of marinara to add. 4 stars only because the wait and penne wasn't equally as good as the meat balls.

Yelp
I visited this food truck at the Murphy Maize Days tonight and ordered chicken strips ... a pretty simple dish that is hard to mess up. First I watched them give my order away to someone else who just paid while I had been waiting. When they realized what they did, they quickly (too quickly) made me another basket The chicken was raw in the middle. I took them back and would have preferred my money back. Kind of lost my appetite for chicken. Gave one star because zero isn't an option.

Jan V.

Yelp
This is officially the worst Philly cheesestake sandwich I've ever had.... It was probably worth $4 and not the $9 that they charge.
google avatar

Gaby K.

Yelp
It's so amazing!! Owner is nice and we waited less than 10 mins for our food! Will be back!

Yelp
I read the reviews and was excited to try their pizza unfortunately I had such a bad experience I have to tell people to avoid this place. So I walk up to the truck to take a look at the menu I see two cooks busy inside no problem, I'm patient so I'm watching them cook and one of the cooks is having trouble chopping a bell pepper. That's red flag number one, I'm not a chef but chopping a bell pepper is a skill kids can master, unfortunately not this guy. So I'm just watching when another guy is clearly overwhelmed and finally acknowledges I'm there. Instead of being greeted with a hello he starts shouting at me to calm down. I hadn't said a word to him but I'm the problem? I wish he was a quick with the pizza as he was with the condescension. I immediately told him I'd calm down at another establishment and walked off. I went to the butcher's son truck and had a far better experience. If you're trying to find a professional food truck not run by knuckleheads I would avoid this one.

Yelp
Gave this food truck a shot at Klyde Warren Park and was so glad I did! I got the vegetarian stuffed pocket and it was awesome. Not too much sauce, not over cooked or doughy, and cheesy to a wonderful point. Wasn't overly busy (I was able to walk right up to the window), but it's February so there aren't as many people out and about. Wait time seemed appropriate for something fresh made. They have bottled drinks as well if you are interested. It's my favorite food truck out of the regulars at Klyde Warren. Will definitely be returning soon!

Anthony O.

Yelp
I won't be coming back..the wings were recooked very dry like chicken jerky and pizza didn't have no sauce, plus the owner and the window kept scratching his butt without washing his hands...I CANT BELIEVE THESE FOREIGNERS ARE LIKE THIS IN AMERICA
google avatar

Markus N.

Yelp
Awesome gluten-free pizza, best I've had in Dallas and this city has a lot. No idea what hours or time they're here at Klyde Warren Park, just happened upon them and glad I did! Pepperoni is thick slices that are delicious, cheese is super stretchy and chewy - in a word perfect. Made to order in about 5 minutes. Check them out!
google avatar

Bill C.

Yelp
Sorry, I am usually not criticizing, but... That was THE most disappointing steak spiedie sandwich I have ever had. 10 bucks gets you 4 little pieces of very dry and fatty steak. The crusty bread was about the only good thing on the sandwich. I am sorry for this bad review as I really wanted to like this place. FYI, my wife's chicken strip basket was equally bad with very bland and frozen quality.

Yelp
Got the lemon pepper wings and tortellini Alfredo both AMAZING! Great service and cheap food! Truly was very yummy
google avatar

Shelley R.

Yelp
I visited Clyde warren park for the first time on Sunday prior to July 4 2017 ! I was a bit afraid to try the food from a food truck but I did and definitely loved the Greek pizza! It was the best ever!! I definitely had to let the owner know it was definitely know it was ! Don't be afraid to try any of the food from Yumny it's fantastic
google avatar

Elizabeth D.

Yelp
The best gluten-free pizza I've had!!! I ordered the gyro pizza and added crushed red pepper to the top. DELICIOUS! Creamy, flavorful, zesty. AMAZING. I just wish they had a storefront. I asked, but sadly, they don't. You'll just have hit it for lunch. I would drive downtown for this--and I live in Fairview. My tip is to go early (11:45 or earlier) so you don't get caught in the lunch crowd. The lines get long and they make them fresh, so there is some wait time, but very worth it!!!
google avatar

Gold S.

Yelp
As I ate my stuffed pesto chicken I noticed a rancid taste. It was the meat. When I inspected the meat further, it smelled rancid as well. I will never eat from this truck again. Not to mention the lady who took my order was rude. I guess this is why the other food trucks had lines and this one did not.

Ashley W.

Yelp
Not good at all. Brisket sandwich was these large chunks of mostly fat and somehow still tough beef. Also it was burnt. True L
google avatar

Kate R.

Yelp
My employer did a "Food Truck day" at work and had 4 food trucks come (well, one broke down, so we had 3) and Yummy Pizza was one of the trucks. As expected, the line was fairly long. When you have food trucks, there's usually going to be a line. No biggie. But the food didn't live up to the line or the price. Me and three coworkers all got different items and we all said "eh. Not bad but it's not great". My cheese pizza had way too much sauce and has clearly been sitting for a while because the crust was super crunchy on the edges. The baklava was good and rich, which is why the piece was about 1x2 inches. Overall, if this food truck is the only one around and I'm starving, I might get something. If there are any other options, I'll go somewhere else.
google avatar

Stephanie C.

Yelp
Price was high for size of pizza. Pizza was so greasy but thought it would be fine. Taste was mediocre and the pizza left me feeling sick to my stomach even several hours later.

Farook T.

Yelp
The best food in town. Absolutely amazing and delicious. Highly recommended. We had a group of people try several different things, it was all perfect 10/10, everyone enjoyed their meals. Can't wait to eat it again
google avatar

B W.

Yelp
Didn't actually eat here, was going to, wanted to, but the guy at the window was very rude. Spent my money elsewhere and don't regret it. These people need to realize how they stay in business; the customers!

Victor H.

Yelp
I got the Chicken Parm from this place and as a Chicken Parm fanatic it was disgusting how much they charge for this. It was $10 for the chicken and pasta and tastes equivalent to the frozen chicken parmesan dinners you can find at Target. I cant speak for anything else on the menu but stay away from the chicken parm!!!! #NotAllChickenParmAreCreatedEqual
google avatar

Angela M.

Yelp
Went to the Dallas Block Party tonight and ate at the Yummy BBQ truck- the Brisket baked potato and Sausage Link sandwich with fries! The food was awesome!!! Pretty good value for the money. They weren't stingy with the portions. Good quality food! Wish there was a permanent location to frequent.
google avatar

Peyton P.

Yelp
Super fast service, great pizza, really fresh mozzarella . Guys at the window super nice and patient. I'd go back.
google avatar

Bill W.

Yelp
On revisit - no change, still 5 star. Perfect Greek gyro sandwich, off the chart yummy cannolis. The truck owner is quite personable too. You can see extreme conscientiousness and eagerness to please. These are likable folks with good product.
google avatar

Michelle Z.

Yelp
These guys were in front of the Irving Convention Center while I was attending comic con. I ordered the lamb gyro and it was sooooo good! The veggies were fresh as well as the lamb. It was served quickly, efficiently, and most importantly: hot. I felt the gyro was very reasonable for the price.
google avatar

Shabana A.

Yelp
The food truck came to our office building today, 6/20/14. I got the Gyro - meat is hard and overcooked - barely edible. I don't know about the pizza. My co-workers liked the pizza. (I got the gyro cause my husband is in the pizza biz and I'm tired of pizza.)
google avatar

Amanda Z.

Yelp
Overall a pretty mediocre pizza truck with nothing special to speak of. The owners seemed nice, but the wait time was around 15 minutes for just one small pizza. This may not seem like much, but when this is a food truck were talking about and when it's 95 degrees outside, this is a little irritating. I personally got the Tex Mex pizza, which in retrospect was probably not the BEST choice they had to offer, but it was still decent. Still, nothing special about these pizzas or the toppings, and I honestly didn't enjoy this any more than any old regular chain pizza shop.
google avatar

Manuel S.

Yelp
Pizza was ok... No really good flavor... The attendant was extremely rude! With that king of service who wants to eat with them...
