Sandwiches From Restaurants Around Atlanta You’ve Just Got to Try

"This family-owned and operated restaurant serves Haitian dishes fused with American comfort food favorites. While the sandwich section is small at Zeke’s, the flavors are absolutely not and pack a punch. Try the Haitian, an epis-marinated pork and brisket combo topped with Monterrey jack cheese, pikliz (Haitian relish), and black pepper aioli, or the blackened grouper and fried green tomato sandwich dressed with epis aioli." - Eater Staff

Where to Eat and Drink in Smyrna and Vinings

"This family-owned and operated restaurant serves Haitian dishes fused with American comfort food favorites. Start with the plantain nachos topped with jerk chicken, pico de gallo, and drizzles of cilantro lime crema or conch fritters dressed with peppers and onions. Sandwiches at Zeke’s include the Haitian, a pork and brisket combo topped with Monterrey jack cheese, pikliz (Haitian relish), and black pepper aioli, and a blackened grouper and fried green tomato sandwich. For entrees, try the stewed chicken, Zeke’s spaghetti tossed with smoked sausage and peppers and onions, or the restaurant’s take on steak frites garnished with chimichurri served with yucca fries. The bar at Zeke’s serves a mean rum Old Fashioned and a tropical riff on the mule using dark rum." - Lia Picard

Tried out Zeke’s for the first time and it was okay. Our service was great and the atmosphere and the restaurant is nice. We went around 6:30pm on a Saturday and they were out of 5 main dishes which was disappointing. That kind of messed up the experience because what we wanted to order wasn’t available. We had the plantain nachos which was the highlight of our meal. Never had anything like that before, it was a creative and tasty dish. For drinks I had the 1804 and my husband had the Island Mule. Both were okay. I noticed in a previous review that my glass was significantly smaller than the glass served a month ago. So I don’t think the cocktail was worth the price. The Rasta Pasta to me was too creamy/saucy it was drowning in the sauce and it was overly cheesy to my liking. My husband had the salmon and it was good, but nothing too special. Hesitant on going back but I did appreciate our waitress Makiyah and other staff we interacted with.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Zeke’s Kitchen & Bar is a true gem! I had the pleasure of dining here and ordered the oxtails—absolutely incredible! The flavors were rich, tender, and authentic, clearly crafted with care. The Caribbean cocktails were just as impressive—refreshing, perfectly balanced, and full of tropical flair. The ambience has a laid-back, island-inspired vibe that makes you feel like you’re on vacation, and the customer service was exceptional from start to finish. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. You can really feel the love behind this locally owned spot. I’ll definitely be back—and bringing friends!

This restaurant has a modern vibe and excellent customer service. I however did not like the oxtails plate. For a $38 plate, I was hoping to get the side salad that would normally come in a Haitian dish. I also did not like how the oxtails were placed on top of the rice, causing for the rice to be swimming in the sauce. I personally do not like a lot sauce with my rice but I was not given the option. The taste of the dish was okay but definitely not that authentic Haitian flavor.

Google
This place is great. From the greeting you feel welcome. The music is good. The server Tiffany is wonderful and attentive. From my not overly sweet tea to the tostones and the pasta and then the brownie with that sauce that was amazing on its own. My son said it was the best meal he’s had in a long time. Oh and I forgot the Yuca fries, so good.

Had a fantastic lunch at Zeke’s Kitchen to celebrate my friend’s birthday! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was great. I was especially impressed with their vegan options—it’s always nice to have thoughtful, flavorful plant-based choices. I ordered the John John Bowl, and it did not disappoint! The flavors were perfectly balanced, the ingredients were fresh, and it was a satisfying, hearty meal. If you’re looking for a place with great food and solid vegan options, Zeke’s Kitchen is a must-try.

The fried plantains were excessively salty; I shouldn't have been able to see the salt. It seemed like they just sprinkled it on top, as I had to brush the salt off them to eat. The presentation was a complete zero. The fish was not a red snapper and lacked flavor due to poor seasoning. Whether you choose to take out or dine in, I've never encountered such low-quality Haitian food before. I should have realized the issue when I called and no one at the restaurant knew what Akra/Accra was. I had considered taking my colleagues for lunch tomorrow, but that would likely have been a colossal mistake. I really don't understand how this place has a 4.7-star rating.

I was celebrating a dear friend birthday. It was my first time here and the service was poor. Makiyha L. was an horrible server. She was helpful but lacked common courtesy on executing how to maneuver and assess the table and patrons. She asked on several occasions for us to pass by cups, utensils and even meals down to guests at the table . She brought food out and didn’t even have the courtesy to place it on the table. She wanted me to touch an hot plate. There was more than enough room for her to access me and the table setting to place my plate in front of me.

Google
Overall, the food was okay. The apps and drinks were very good. We modified the drinks and substituted their liquor for Haitian rhum as it is a Haitian restaurant using barbancourt as the main rhum. However, the entree was a disappointment as I ordered a djon djon rice bowl which one of the core known dishes in Haitian culture was bland and the flavor came from the dish soaking in a vinaigrette/aioli. I let our server Deanna know and she mentioned that she’ll let the kitchen know. Unfortunately, she didn’t/never offer(ed) if I’d like anything else instead which really disappointing in terms of service style. Also, as I was paying, I noticed a processing fee on the bill, I was baffled as to why am I being processed a fee? When asking where the fee is coming from, to be fair she said she didn’t know as it seems clients don’t question or look at their tabs. However, if I were to guess, I’d say that the owner/restaurant is upfront charging the credit card processing fees which are supposed to be taken in by the restaurant itself which is not right or at least have its only polite to have some decency to be upfront with the consumers about it and stop trying to sneak it in the receipt.

Yelp
oh my goodness .. PERFECT! I wish I had one closer to me !! Thanks Yelpers, your reviews got me to the exact right place! 8D The Djon Djon bowl with jerk chicken was sooo soo good. I love Caribbean food and this (with sauce on the side) was a healthy way to get all the good stuff! Black rice , plantains, jerk chicken, corn and peas, pickled onions.. the green sauce was amazing too . I did try it! Mmmm Great Spanish/Rheggaton music ... genuinely friendly and welcoming staff.. got the perfect seat in front of the football game too. Everything was so good I had to get the jerk chicken sandwich to bring home. A+

Yelp
Food was great. If you love Caribbean food you won't miss a beat and the bar is quaint and the drinks are really good. Solid 10/10 . Will be back This place should be more busy, ask for Rachel

Yelp
I discovered this place online, and a person I mentioned it to couldn't stop raving about it. They highly recommended the Djon Djon Bowl and the Rasta Pasta, so I ordered both--and they were absolutely fantastic. I also tried the yucca fries and the salmon dip, both of which were excellent. The salmon dip came with a side of baguette, though I would have preferred the baguette to be toasted a bit crunchier. As for the yucca fries, they were seasoned lightly, cooked to perfection, and paired with a delicious dip. My only complaint is I really wish the portion of fries had been larger. From the moment I walked in, the service was outstanding. The young lady at the front desk was bubbly, friendly, and genuinely excited to take my order. A gentleman who assisted her was also attentive and welcoming. The vibe of the place was fantastic--cool music, a calm atmosphere, and an overall positive energy. Although I don't live around there anymore, I'm familiar with a lot of options nearby, but this spot is now an absolute must-visit whenever I'm back in the Smyrna-Mableton area. If you're looking for a great meal, this is the only restaurant you need to find.

Yelp
I ordered from Zeke's Restaurant, and I was beyond impressed! The food arrived hot, with very generous portions and excellent presentation. The Djon Djon rice was perfectly moist and packed with flavor, while the chicken was seasoned to perfection--every bite was delicious. If you're looking to try authentic and well-prepared Haitian food, this is the place to go. Highly recommend!

Yelp
This is a great place to get your cravings for some upscale Haitian bites. Our server took good care of us, and while some might say it's a bit slow, we enjoyed the relaxed pace. Don't be in a rush, enjoy the moment. I had the djon djon bowl and it was delicious. Packed with flavor and your choice of protein, you can't go wrong. Check this place out.

Yelp
Every time I come (which is at least once a week for dine-in or takeout) the food is consistently awesome!! If you've never tried Haitian food, you are in for a treat! I personally love the Rasta Pasta, The Djon Djon bowl w/ Jerk chicken & Griot (pork) or shrimp. The finch fritters are really good as well. And their cocktails are tasty as well!! The host Saint is a Saint! He's so cool and welcoming every time I come in. 5 Stars and 10/10 would recommend!! Treat yourself and go to Zeke's!!

Yelp
Enjoyed a dinner with colleagues at Zeke's. This Haitian restaurant is located in Smyrna and has great food. Service was also lovely. Thanks Kevin! And others checked in on us. The vibe is tropical, casual with low Caribbean music playing. Dining at the bar or at the tables. We saw families, groups, couples, and singles. The food was great! We enjoyed the nachos(tostones as nachos), the steak(chimichurri sauce was good), Djon Djon with salmon(crispy cooked perfectly), and the roasted chicken(ask for it cooked with extra butter). Ample parking out front. Seems very popular for takeout and delivery as well. They take reservations if needed. Would definitely return! Dishes were 15-30 and large portions!

Yelp
I came here with some family and friends from out of town. One of them being Haitian, so I was pretty excited to get his review on this place. Anyway, parking is always easy and I was able to get a table despite not making reservations for my rather large party. I got there early, so I started off with gin & juice and their Haitian Pattie's. Both were very good choices. Once my party arrived, we ordered additional rounds of drinks and our entrees. Three of them had the Fried grit cakes & shrimp and they all loved it. My vegetarian friend had the Djon Djon veggie and he loved it. My cousin had their fish and I opted for the chicken that came with white rice and black beans. I will say there was more bean juice than actual beans, but it was still delicious. We had a great time. The environment is always chill and I love that they always play kompa or Haitian music in the background. Our waitress Kinsey was very attentive and funny! I will continue to dine and support Zeke's. Especially since my Haitian friend gave them a solid 8 out of 10. And they received an 8 because he said it's not grandma's. Lol. But he really enjoyed his meal!

Yelp
Food is AMAZING!!! Service is A1! Staff is SUPER welcoming and friendly. Great atmosphere & good music! STOP SLEEPING ON ZEKE'S

Yelp
Delicious and super nice restaurant! Came in with a large group of out of town family and our server was great about accommodating everyone and making sure we all had something we liked, and she was successful and we all now love Haitian food. The kids enjoyed their meals too! I had the djon djon bowl as my entree and LOVED it. We will be back!

Yelp
This was a fantastic experience!! I was so excited to find this restaurant on YELP, the menu took me back to my favorite shores of the BVI. The conch fritters were delicious and the griot tacos were on point! Have the bartender mix you a painkiller, it was even better than ones I've had on the island. Great atmosphere and friendly service.

Yelp
My friends and I visited on a Thursday evening. I had never been to Zeke's, but had heard great things about the restaurant, so it's been on my list for a while. Our server was named Jessica, and she was awesome! We let her know as soon as we sat down that we'd be a slow table, since we know we like to take our time and talk - she laughed and told us it was perfectly fine with her. The Rum Punch is delicious, and was the drink special of the day - a win-win for us. Plantain Nachos - these were probably my favorite thing I ate that night. The Tostadas went really well with the toppings (jerk chicken, pico, and a sauce). I thing it came with 5 good-sized tostada nachos, so it's a nice starter for sharing. Ceviche - this appetizer also came with tostadas, but I think plantain chips would've paired better and would've helped with scooping the ceviche for sure. Tasted solid though. Conch Fritters - I think these were my least favorite, mostly because of texture, not taste. The flavor and the accompanying sauce were good Oxtail - They do not skimp on the oxtail at Zeke's. They don't use thinly-sliced oxtails like some other places, and the oxtail is meaty and tender. They tasted very good and the rice and peas was really flavorful. My only complaint was that some of the fat could have been trimmed off - so it made the plate pretty oily. Rasta Pasta - My friend ordered this and enjoyed it. It wasn't spicy at all, so if you're sensitive to heat then you'll be fine with this dish. Overall, we really enjoyed our experience and the food and I would recommend. I'm definitely going back to try some more Haitian dishes on their menu!

Yelp
Great food and service. I had the shrimp ceviche which was delicious and served with hot and fresh plantain chips that were very good. The Griot tacos were very good as well with flavorful, tender pork and a creamy aioli.

Yelp
Although I previously wrote a review for Zeke's Kitchen, it has disappeared. Here's my second review. I returned to Zeke's with my husband after trying their food at Taste of Smyrna for two consecutive years. My first visit was over a year ago, and I had their Stewed Chicken, which they unfortunately no longer serve - a disappointment since I loved their rice, chicken, and sauce. This time I ordered the Djon Djon Bowl with Pork, it was okay. I should have tried it with the Jerk Chicken. The server we had was nice enough for me to try the Goat before I ordered my meal, but unfortunately, I did not like the Goat. So I decided on the Pork (going with my servers recommendation) not knowing it would be cooked the same way as the Goat. Both Pork and Goat are deep fried or over cooked which makes it hard to eat and are hard to chew. At Taste of Smyrna, I tried the Djon Djon Bowl with Jerk Chicken which I should have ordered from the get-go. My husband and I did like our appetizer which was the Shrimp Ceviche, so they have that going for them, but unfortunately they were out of their Roasted Chicken, Bronzino (Sea Bass) and Red Snapper that day - it was a Monday. I would have loved to try their Roasted Chicken, maybe next time!

Yelp
I really enjoyed Zeke's . My cousin recommended this place to me when I needed some dinner the other night. I had no idea where to go since I've been living in the Lithia Springs area, but Smyrna was only 20 mins so decided to try something new. I went in thinking I was going to order to go but as soon as I walked in I saw that Zeke's was a vibe so I decided to turn this take home night into a solo date night for myself. My favorite part about this experience was the really amazing bartender. I never grabbed his name but he was bald and had the friendliest personality. Their service was great and the food came out exceptionally fast. I could have used a little less dressing on my salad and usually prefer greens rather than iceberg lettuce but it still was pretty good. Will definitely be back to try their other menu items!

Yelp
What I know about Haitian food could fit the top of a pin, but if Zeke's is a fair representation, I now know that it must be flavorful. The djon djon bowl was the crowning glory of our order, and it deserves all the hype it gets here on Yelp. I was curious about what 'djon djon' was, and when we asked our server, she explained it was their version of a traditional black rice made with beans or mushrooms. Whatever was in it, it was the most delicious bed for the charred plantains, grilled shrimp, and toppings. It can also be ordered with jerk chicken, salmon, or avocado - all of which I'm looking forward to trying on return visits. The menu describes the accompanying aioli as 'epic,' which is entirely correct. It reminded me of a slightly spicier version of the white sauce that comes with Halal food, and it brought the whole bowl together beautifully. My husband ordered a jerk chicken salad, which he praised as "fresh and tasty". We were a little less enthusiastic about the salmon dip, which sounded delicious on the menu but turned out to be a little saltier than I would've preferred. What rounded up our love for Zeke's was the service. Our water glasses were constantly refilled, food was bussed out with efficiency, and our servers couldn't be kinder or more welcoming. The interior is surprisingly nice (in fact, as we walked in, my husband wondered aloud if this was too fancy a place for our athleisure outfits), but I agree with one reviewer about the music being a tad loud. Luckily, here are a few outdoor tables available for those who might feel similarly.

Yelp
I've been searching for authentic rasta pasta for at least a few months now - you know, the kind with peppers, onions, and a dynamite sauce. After lots of searching, I stumbled upon Zeke's and decided to give it a shot. I'm glad I did because the rasta pasta was flavorful and needed nothing added. The chef did me a solid by adding corn and peas since I'm a veggie guy. It was so good that even my picky son liked it and said he's getting it next time - and oh yeah, there will be a next time. The price was right, and the service was even better. I loved how open and airy the place was, with a nice selection of music that didn't overpower the atmosphere. All in all, give them a shot if you want good Jamaican food. Oh, and we also got the oxtail - they were the biggest (no diddy lol) we've had in ATL since moving here. I highly recommend Zeke's!

Yelp
What a hidden gem! I have been here a few times but usually get it to go. We had one little mishap but the waitress took care of us so well that we forgot about it. Bees knees is always my go to cocktail and theirs has fresh squeezed lemons in it! We only got appetizers because they are too good to just get one. The salmon dip has large amount on the crostinis they do not skimp! Griot tacos were so good their sauce on top is beyond amazing. Better than most taco places! You can never go wrong with the conch fritters they are crunchy and have some cabbage and sauce. We also got the plantain nachos and they are just too filling. We actually had to take some home. The jerk chicken is seasoned so well with a fresh pico. If you havent been here. Go!

Yelp
The food was delicious. Nice spin on Haitian cuisine. Ambience is very nice as well. Very pleasant surprise for for a restaurant in a strip mall. Service was great and staff was friendly.

Yelp
Omg, so good! I ordered off of UberEats and was not disappointed. To go service: food was packaged well, no spilling in the bag or messy containers. Meal: I got the Djon Djon with salmon. It had great flavor and I love the kick of spice, the only critique is the salmon was on the dryer side. I do wish they included two limes with the dish in stead of one. I got a side of the jerk sauce and wasn't the biggest fan. Overall, good comfort food and I would definitely order from them in the future.
google avatar

Duri H.

Yelp
Stopped by for lunch here after a meeting and thoroughly enjoyed my meal. I tried the djon djon bowl with shrimp and avocado and it tasted amazing. Super flavorful, super filling, high-quality ingredients - all around 10/10! The young girl working there was extremely hospitable. She had such a pleasant attitude and made sure I had everything I needed.

Yelp
I'm new to the area and I order Zeke's for takeout at least once a week now. Try the Piri Piri bowl, just do it. Don't sleep on the chicken either. Delicious food, haven't had one bad item.
google avatar

Myrca C.

Yelp
Kevin was fantastic!!! Food and service were both spectacular. It's always the best vibes and energy whenever I go to Zeke's and today was just the same. Everyone that comes to town to visit, I bring to Zeke's and they share the same appreciation that I do! Try the griot tacos, conch fritters, djon djon bowl, Tasso plate with griot or cabrit, and the rum cake - those are just a few of the dishes I've had but everything has always been a hit. Anyone that has a chance to come here, please do - you will not be disappointed!!

Yelp
Went on Wednesday around 5. We were kindly greeted and sat promptly. Since it was our first time, our waitress was extremely helpful with explaining the menu. I ordered the Island Tings drink and was not disappointed. Our food was good and flavorful. The music was good. Parking was good and free. I'd definitely go back again.

Yelp
We were in the area for a work trip and stopped in for lunch. This was my first experience with Haitian food and I loved it. The djon djon bowl with jerk chicken had so much flavor, and I loved the black rice. It has a spicy kick to it which I appreciated. It was a great lunch and I enjoyed each bite. The service was great and the waitress was patient with all of our questions. My coworkers loved their dishes as well. My boss ordered the whole fish and was raving about it. The vibe is modern and they have a good looking drink menu too.
google avatar

Sarah S.

Yelp
My cousin was in town from Florida and I wanted to take her somewhere special for dinner along with my parents and fiancé. None of us had ever had Haitian cuisine, but I chose to believe the amazing reviews and the experience did not disappoint. Our server was so enthusiastic and explained the menu in detail. Service, food and cocktails were all top notch. Can't wait to take my sister next time she is in town!
google avatar

Dave B.

Yelp
Great service - the waitress (Megan) was not only a wonderful waitress but a delightful individual who made our visit even more enjoyable. The appetizers were delicious. The hardest part was deciding which to order. I suggest they offer a sampler plate to allow guests the pleasure of each. The Zeledon "Old Fashion" was a scrupulous drink specialty I highly recommend. As for the entrees, we had four different ones and each was a treat. Try them all! Definitely coming back again - well worth the trip for us!
google avatar

Shantay H.

Yelp
The food and service was amazing. I will definitely come back to try other dishes on the menu. The DJon DJon bowl was the perfect size and had the perfect amount of food and flavor. Highly recommend and please try the house hot sauce if you're feeling bold!

Yelp
Zeke's is awesome! I love the Djon Djon bowl for a quick & light lunch, but I could make a meal out of their appetizers. The Griot Tacos (3 of them) are spicy & nice, as are the Plantain Nachos, but oh so deliciouso! The Frites with spicy aioli is a great starter as well. I've had everything on the menu and haven't had a bad thing yet. I can recommend the Rhasta Pasta, the Roasted Chicken, and the Pan Seared Salmon. The Gullah Shrimp Tacos are nice, too!

Jeannie P.

Yelp
We enjoyed our visit so much we went back a week later. The roasted chicken was delicious. I also got a side of broccoli (needed a vegetable serving) and it was delicious too. My husband got the Haitian sandwich and he said it was good (not too impressive but not bad). He really enjoyed the yuca fries. He also got a side of Mac & cheese and it was okay. It was kinda on the drier side- he might have enjoyed it more if it had more sauce. But he said it was good nonetheless.
google avatar

Malaka P.

Yelp
Loved the Rasta Pasta! I usually add Salmon and take out the chicken! Well this time they got it mixed up. After leaving and realizing what happen, I immediately returned and when I tell you the moved quickly to make it right. I was truly impressed. The waiter Megan and the chef Mike and even the bartender wanted to make sure I was good. I really appreciated them and I would definitely be back! The food was good, the vegetables was fresh. Go go go. The ambiance and vibe . You want be disappointed. Authentic tasting Nola food! Megan and chef Mike

Yelp
Horrible service. Did not get a chance to eat, staff so rude and could not even get a drink. Felt very uncomfortable. Will never try to come back.

Yelp
I used to love this sushi spot that got replaced by Zeke's. At first, I wasn't too excited about trying the replacement. But, we had to find a place for my brother-in-law's graduation party, so we gave Zeke's a shot. They were super cool about fitting in around 12 or 13 of us, even though it was a last-minute thing. I must also note the impeccable nature of their staff; their professionalism and attentiveness did not go unnoticed. The owner stopped by and displaying a genuine concern for the well-being of the patrons. This level of service absolutely contributed to the overall experience. Zeke's surprised me with their range of Haitian food - something I hadn't seen around here before. The whole vibe is coz, definitely gave me a home style feel, which I really dig. You've got to try their spaghetti, Rasta pasta, and yucca frites - they're real winners. I didn't try their cocktails, but they've got their own beer named after the place, which is a neat touch. I've been to Zeke's a few times now, and it's always buzzing with people. That's a good sign, you know? I'm definitely recommending it - give it a shot!

Yelp
I dined in at Zeke's Kitchen & Bar with a group during lunch yesterday. The Yelp reviews really had me excited to try it out and the food did not disappoint. Our server was friendly and attentive. The menu was easy to digest and the prices were fair for the portions offered. We shared a few appetizers: the plantain nachos, salmon dip and conch fritter and the salmon dip was my FAVE. It was smoky, flavorful and cool! I would def. recommend it if you like salmon! The conch fritter was pretty good as well. I liked the jerk chicken on the plantain nachos and crema sauce, but thought the plantain needed a touch of salt. I would not order that appetizer again. For my entree, I had the Rasta Pasta with a side of sweet plantains and I enjoyed the flavors on the chicken and in the sauce. The shrimp were large and of good quality. It tasted even better the next day as leftovers. Every one seemed to enjoy their food. I would definitely return and try other entrees.

Yelp
This is a decent Haitian restaurant In Atlanta. It's more Haitian fusion. The griot was pretty good., the white rice and chicken was pretty good. They had a long wait for food. We walked in with no reservations. Will try again. Place is pretty clean and simple .
google avatar

Nisha B.

Yelp
Went here for the first time today. We were seated quickly. And we were able to order right away and the food arrived quickly. The waitress was very nice and explained to us what some of the items were since we had never had Haitian food before. I ended up getting the djon djon bowl with jerk chicken and it was delightful. I really liked the aioli and the plaintains were amazing! It was ask my first time trying the djon djon rice and it did not disappoint. The jerk chicken sandwich also looked good! I'll have to be back. There was also plenty of parking and the ambience was classy and casual. It would be a good spot to go to for a date or even to celebrate a special occasion or just casually with family or friends. The only thing I would add is that the music was a bit loud, but overall it was a great experience.

Yelp
Overall a very good experience. Pleasant hostess and waitress plus the owner (or possibly chef) came out to check on us, he was very engaging. My wife had an excellent drink and one of the bowls, she was super happy with both. I had the blackened grouper. It was a generous portion and very tasty. Came with yucca frites and a dipping sauce that were also very good. Perfect seasoning level on both. We were late for an appointment and had to hurry out, so I didn't have time to question the extra fee on our bill. Forgot if it was a transaction fee or processing fee but it seemed odd.

Yelp
Zeke's is a neighborhood spot we've been wanting to try. The decor is sorta black modern farmhouse, dotted with Caribbean paintings. We went during the lunch timeframe so it was fairly empty. Or server was nice and described features on the menu. We ordered the plantain nachos as an appetizer. It was flavorful and I appreciated the spin on classic nachos. I personally would have liked more pico on top or something to just give it more of a kick. I ordered the Djon Djon bowl and my partner ordered the Rasta Pasta. I REALLY liked the Djon Djon Rice Bowl, which came on a large plate. Now this dish took me to Flavor Town. The black rice base was well seasoned. The toppings were good. All the flavors came together, which was nicely rounded out with a cilantro and crème based aioli drizzle. I tasted the pasta, and in my opinion, it was a little heavy on a white cheese. Not sure how to describe it but it wasn't a good white cheese flavor. That didn't stop my partner from eating every bite. He also ordered an Old Fashion, which was too sweet for him, but I liked it. We will definitely be back and will have to save room for their rum cake.

Yelp
I order the bbq goat. It was over-cooked and not tasty. I did not enjoy anything in my plate and did not eat it. The staff was ok and did not create a positive dining experience. Won't go back.

Yelp
Zekes is a place to get authentic Haitian food with flavor! Ambiance is great. Haitian music plays while you eat and frankly the playlist is great! The service is good, admittedly they were busy but I'd like to think that's the service standard regardless. Table of 6 + a kid Conch fritters Plantain nachos Griot tacos -- this was my favorite 2 fish sandwiches on Cuban bread one with the yucca is comes with and one with rice and beans (diri kole) 1 Haitian sandwich with yucca 2 Tassot plates - griot Rasta Pasta Extra pikliz Cocktails Haitian crémas - think coquito with chocolate as a twist (this is a restaurant thing, it doesn't usually have chocolate) 1804 (tasted like more purée and juice, no alcohol flavor) Verdict: go especially if you want to try Haitian food, everything was good except the drink 1804. I'd be back if I was in Smyrna.

Yelp
Service was slow Food greasy and no Haitian essence Overpriced Ordered the oxtail and it was salty, greasy, and the meat wasn't prepped well. Ambiance was nice but subpar food and service

Yelp
The food was delicious and the service was excellent I was just surprised that everything on my plate had been fried. I love fried food and it was delicious I just wish I had known because I took for granted that the rice would just be cooked and not fried.

Yelp
Food is always on point. Service is excellent. Drinks are strong tho a little sweet for my taste. My favorite is the half chicken. I never eat the skin, but I can't resist here! The Rasta Pasta is great too. My barber is from Haiti, and he said it is authentic Haitian cuisine. Try it. Different from typical southern food but definitely not weird. A little spicy, a little Caribbean, and very, very good.

Yelp
A hidden gem for sure. Found this place on Yelp and arrived as soon as they opened. We started with drinks and the plantain nachos and chilled salmon dip. All were spot on. For my meal, I had the Rasta Pata. It was SOOOOOO good! I had enough to take home for leftovers. It had a little kick but it wasn't too spicy. The food and drinks were good enough for us to return.

Yelp
This was our first time having Haitian food, and it was sooooo delicious. We were visiting Atlanta from Arizona and this place was close to our hotel and had good reviews so we decided to check it out. We had the two different old fashions, a Blue Haitian, and the punch. They were all great, the blue Haitian was my favorite. Appetizers: the jerk chicken nachos were so delicious, we ate every single bite. My husband had the Djon Djon bowl with jerk chicken and I had the salmon. Both dishes were amazing. Jessica was our server and she was wonderful. 5 stars and we will definitely go here again on our next trip to Atl.

Yelp
This place is great!! My husband is Haitian so I am spoiled with Haitian food all the time. We found this place and thought "let's see!". We were not disappointed! It is a tad Americanized but even still the food is good. The pikliz is spicyyyy so caution in case you can't tolerate the spice. The drinks are strong & delicious! The service was great, very friendly staff & food was pretty prompt. Loved the decor and ambiance. It was chill with Haitian decor all throughout. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
Love this place. The food was great. I love the jerk chicken salad. They used to give a lot of jerk chicken for the salad but the last couple of times they skimped on the chicken. The servers are nice & friendly and the food typically doesn't take a long time to carry out.
