"A Look at the City and the Stars A good place to get a lay of the land before you head out and start exploring the city is at the Museum of Vancouver , in Vanier Park. The museum changed its name in 2009 from Vancouver Museum to Museum of Vancouver to emphasize a shift in its curatorial sensibility. Its focus is now on the history and potential of Vancouver, with innovative and challenging programming that raise questions about urban life everywhere. Recent exhibitions have covered everything from the history of fashion in Vancouver to the construction of affordable housing. The museum shares its home with the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre, so after learning about life in the city around you, you can turn your attention to the stars.
