"Set within Denver’s historic Union Station, which dates to 1881 and took on its Beaux-Arts form in 1914, this active transportation hub was reborn as a hotel in 2014 while retaining heritage features from the Grand Hall to the restored ticket station, now the Terminal Bar serving Colorado-distilled spirits and regional drafts. The 112 guest rooms showcase custom artwork and furniture, and Pullman-style rooms honor Pullman sleeper cars with art-deco touches and vintage train ads plus views of the platform. The station also houses a dozen restaurants and shops and remains served by Amtrak’s California Zephyr and multiple light-rail lines." - Pat Tompkins
