A Feast by the Sea in the Bahamas - AFAR

"A lively cluster of colorful stands, food trucks, and a few larger restaurants just a short drive from downtown Nassau, this spot is open six days a week and is best experienced on weekend evenings when live bands and junkanoo dancers add to the party. Visitors can stroll and sample local favorites like conch salad, conch fritters, and fish prepared “cracked” (egg-and-flour battered) or steamed, alongside classic sides such as macaroni and cheese, potato salad, pigeon peas and rice, and plantains. Drinks include popular local beers and frothy rum-based cocktails; stalls are generally cash-only, hours run roughly noon to 11 p.m., and prices are surprisingly reasonable." - AFAR
