"What’s this place all about? Designed to represent a metaphorical connection between the old and new city, Dubai Frame is said to be the largest picture frame in the world. The giant, glistening gold frame stands nearly 500 feet tall and boasts panoramic glass lifts that shuttle guests to the top, where they can walk on a clear glass walkway along the entire 313-foot width. Tickets can be purchased online or at the venue and cost between $5 and $14 (children under 3 and visitors with special needs or disabilities can enter for free). What’s it like being there? Shimmering Insta-worthy appeal. Is there a guide involved? Guides are only available for school groups. Who comes here? Plenty of tourists of all ages and nationalities visit Dubai Frame, which is an obvious haven for selfie seekers. Did it meet expectations? The landmark is easily identifiable across the city; as such, it does its job in attracting attention. Standing under it feels like being overshadowed by a gigantic archway. The ride to the top is impressive, as are the views, but the cafe is a disappointment. What, or who, do you think it’s best for? Instagram enthusiasts and photographers will appreciate the Dubai Frame the most.
