"The real highlight was this one restaurant, Latteria, a genuine little Mom and Pop restaurant with about five tables. I had the best pasta: simple, with olive oil, a bit spicy, a touch of lemon zest, and peperoncino on it. It was honestly one of the best things I’ve ever put in my mouth. It’s an older couple that runs the place. The husband is the chef and the wife runs the tables. Even though the language barrier was present, it felt really home-y and nice. There’s something about Italian restaurants in Italy that have, sort of, terrible lighting; it’s almost fluorescent. So it’s always a touch too bright, but somehow cozy at the same time." - Jessica Chapel
