"Word has quickly spread about Bermuda’s best new restaurant, so you can also expect well-dressed islanders who have made the trip to the east end for a special night out. Achilles calls itself a “MediterrAsian” restaurant, but fusion this is not. Here, you’ll find two distinct cuisines served under one roof. For a solid Asian starter, try the coconut sashimi with fresh Bermuda wahoo, coconut cream, spicy tamarind dressing, along with mint, cilantro, and Thai basil, or go the Mediterranean route with its excellent lamb kofta served with a traditional musabaha (creamy warm chickpeas with tahini) and crispy pita chips. For entrees, try the catch of the day two ways: Alla Pantesca, which is delicately pan-seared with olives, capers, and cherry tomatoes, or Vietnamese Ca Chien, deep-fried and served with a salad of bok choy, mango, and shallots, accompanied by a housemade Thai chili sauce that’s the true star of the dish." - David LaHuta
