"They say ‘X’ marks the spot. In the case of Barcelona's Tiberi Bar, the gaggle of fashionistas in a somewhat dingy street at the back of Apolo nightclub tells us something is afoot. The interior is giving pared-back, post-industrial hip, with a side of cozy courtesy of the low-lit tables and striking green marble bar. With Catalonia making a name as one of the world’s leading natural wine-producing regions, it is no surprise that its capital is overrun with natural wine bars. Some are more deserving of your time than others. Tiberi definitely qualifies in the worthwhile category, not only because its list is huge and mostly local, but also because the staff won’t look down their nose at you if you’re into the natural philosophy but not here for the funk. Tiberi is fun but not rowdy, and equally suited to a quiet weekday dinner or the first stop on a night out. Bring that one friend who “doesn’t like natural wine” and they’ll be sure to leave a convert." - Gemma Askham
