"What’s this place all about? Ireland's largest cathedral and the headquarters of the Church of Ireland, St. Patrick's features grand graystone turrets and ornate stained-glass windows. Those visiting for religious purposes can freely walk in, but sightseers are asked to donate a small fee. What’s it like being there? Reflective and inspiring. Pretty interesting! Is there a guide involved? Public tours take place at various times throughout the day. Who comes here? Many visitors are here just to check out the cathedral considered one of Ireland's main attractions, although you'll find plenty of folks looking to join a mass or worship independently. Did it meet expectations? You don't have to be an expert in religious architecture or Catholicism to appreciate St. Patrick's. The massive cathedral is impressively ornate, from the intricately detailed tile floors to the vaulted ceilings. So, then, what, or who, do you think it’s best for? On the bucket list of iconic European cathedrals, this is a must-hit, even if you're not religious. You can also explore the grounds and gardens without stepping foot inside." - Melissa Kravitz Hoeffner
