10 Best Things to Do in Rome with Kids

"Set beneath the 17th-century church of Santa Maria della Concezione dei Cappuccini, this is a series of six small chapels decorated with the skulls, pelvises, and bones of around 4,000 monks, some mummified in their original habitat. While it's not as morbid as that sounds, this is an activity better for older children—very young ones could get a little frightened coming face-to-face with so many bones. The excellent gelateria Come il Latte—a 10-minute walk away—should provide ample distraction afterwards though." - Maresa Manara
