"If Friday Funday is on your calendar—or perhaps you’re “working from home”—do swing by this South Boston hotspot and offer yourself up as a willing research subject for their brunch test kitchen. While you can’t go wrong with the usual Saturday and Sunday brunches (the wood-fired breakfast pizza with bacon, eggs, and roasted tomatoes is a knockout), Fridays at Lincoln really let loose the creative specials that might make their way into mainstay status—or are just a brilliant flash in the pan. Think blueberry croissant rolls jazzed up by lemon cream cheese frosting, plus a pork-belly and kimchi fried rice, or cheddar-chive and duck fat biscuits melting thick pats of honey butter. There are lighter options, like sweet potato and butternut-squash hash tricked out with pork belly and chipotle aioli. In the warmer months, park it on the patio for an hours-long experience—one ideally fueled by the boozy cold-brew cocktail, dubbed an LT Iced Coffee." - Paul Rubio, Elizabeth Wellington, Nathan Tavares
