"Breakside's Dekum location isn't where most of its beers are brewed—that would be its Milwaukie location—but it's the homiest of the three breweries, with vibrant polished wood surfaces everywhere and tall, wide booths for groups. There's a good range of beers here—a pilsner, sour, and session beer—but what defines the brewery is its emphasis on the IPA. Its flagship Breakside IPA is a winner, but at the taproom there are often five or six different takes on the hoppy ale, from hazy to fresh-hopped to fruit-infused. They're not always bottled, so a visit to the brewery will allow you to sample the full, rather impressive, gamut." - Alexander Frane
