"In a quiet corner of Condesa, fashion designer Roberta Maceda has crafted a six-room retreat that serves as a minimalist extension of her Octavia clothing line. On the ground floor, a shoppable bronze rack displays her pieces, like crisp white button-up shirts, while upstairs suites are dressed in neutral palettes and named after elements of the natural world such as walnut (nogal), linen (lino), earth (tierra), and bronze (bronce). The softest cotton-satin bedding comes from Octavia’s homeware line, and the rest of the carefully considered interiors showcase other Mexican designers. There’s no restaurant, but breakfast is brought in from a local bakery, with sweet Mexican pastries like conchas served alongside homemade hibiscus-and-ginger jam, and in the evenings it’s just a short stroll to city favorites including Italian restaurant Lardo and natural wine bar Caiman." - Lauren Cocking
