"Strange Fellows' sleek, stark decor raises the bar, so to speak, among local craft beer spots. This is a handsome room with a handsome exterior; with a flat-topped roof and steel gray-and-red facade, it doesn’t even pretend to play folksy. Other beer spots will maybe hang a painting or two on their walls; Strange Fellows, however, opened the Charles Clark Gallery, a showcase for modern art, right on the premises. With engaging art as a backdrop, this is a destination off the main brewery grid—and on a rather bleak, industrial street in East Vancouver. In addition to a larger selection of bottles and cans, there are eight taps ranging from a light West Coast Pale Ale (Talisman, 4% ABV) to a dark IPA (Nocturnum, 6.5% ABV) to a brain-cell-crushing Belgian Abbey Dubbel, which comes in at a hefty 8.5% ABV." - Guy Saddy
