"A slice of Italy sitting next door to an “Olde Britain” gastro pub has debuted at the Grand Canal Shoppes. Serving gelato at the window by the front entrance, the walk to Pizzeria Pronto’s counter leads diners past a mock “Italian side-street” and toward a wine cellar-inspired seating area, decorated with “vintage antiques.” The pizza is prepared New York-style and baked at 550 degrees. Available by the slice or full pie, other menu choices include stromboli, meatballs, garlic knots, baked ziti, and spaghetti. Gelato cones and cups range in price from $3.95 for a single scoop to $7.95 for three selections. A waffle cone will cost $1 more.
