"Amigo is a new taqueria opened by Chef Ruben Rodriguez of Nai Tapas in collaboration with Juan 'Billy' Acosta, a co-owner of Los Angeles carnitas shop Carnitas El Momo. The restaurant is located at 29 Second Avenue, between East 1st and 2nd streets in the East Village, NYC. The menu features Acosta’s carnitas and birria tacos, shrimp and garlic, oxtail, and suckling pig tacos from Nai, with plans for additional collaboration tacos. The space includes a cocktail bar and a standing area for diners, with measures in place for social distancing." - Erika Adams
