"I saw that Don't Shoot Portland supports Portland's Black community and fights police violence through legal workshops, protests, and community outreach potlucks, while also distributing food via mutual aid and free pantry events; in 2020 organizer Teressa Raiford donated more than $1,000 to food cart owner Kiauna Nelson to feed Black Portlanders, and the group partnered with pop-up Everybody Eats to donate 200 free meals to those supporting the Black Lives Matter movement." - Brooke Jackson-Glidden
