"After 25 years downtown, Pazzo Ristorante shuttered earlier this week; the closure was known months in advance and the space is expected to reopen around April under a new name while keeping a similar menu—Eater reported it will feature “old school New York Italian food.” Pazzo’s executive chef Kenny Giambalvo, who had been expected to return, has moved on and the chef position is currently vacant. Because Pazzo also served hotel guests, an on-site kitchen will still provide room service breakfast and dinner (brunch on weekends), and neighboring hotel lounge Bacchus Bar will continue serving meals and snacks. Located in the heart of the Emerald City near Pioneer Square, Pazzo brought Italian Old World tradition to Portland’s downtown." - Tim Forster
