"I found a somewhat secluded, second-story cocktail enclave hidden behind a semi-secret door that’s literally very green; the Green Room is open to August Hall ticket holders during showtimes (no VIP status required — it’s accessible to General Admission). Designed by Britt Hull of Tide Design Co. and Clinton Miller of Parisa O’Connell Interior Design, the space highlights forest-green velvet booths, library shelves stocked with books, old records, and instruments, and a built-in vintage piano for impromptu off-stage performances. The short, concise menu of beer, wine, and classic cocktail variations was created by Jordan Dunn, Jamal Blake-Williams, and David Ruiz, and includes the Native Sons (mezcal, sherry, vermouth, maraschino), named for the Native Sons of the Golden West — the group for which the 1911 building was constructed — while stained-glass portraits of famous members like Jack London look down over the auditorium." - Caleb Pershan
