"Once a classic New Orleans praline and pie destination, the Magazine Street storefront of Tee-Eva’s Old Fashioned Pies and Pralines has closed, though the business is still baking out of a warehouse at its Uptown location with no public storefront; I confirmed by phone that orders must now be placed by phone or online and there’s no place to browse its wares. The shop was founded in 1994 by Eva Louis Perry—known as Tee Eva—who had run the business for years before that and retired in 2000, handing it to her granddaughter; Perry died at 83 less than six months before the storefront shuttered, though her death is unlikely to have caused the closure." - Tim Forster
