"Just behind Santa Monica's Chelsea, this new sister restaurant debuted on August 29 with a tightly curated, under-$30 menu served in a relaxed, pub-like space. Conceived by father-and-son operators Moez and Karim Megji in response to the economic uncertainty the Los Angeles community experienced in 2025, it offers 28 seats in one section plus a lounge outfitted with a sofa, coffee table, and high-top tables. The menu builds on the original Chelsea's inspiration from Indian and East African flavors, with starters like harissa lamb tartare, kung pao-flavored brussels sprouts, and a mezze platter of hummus, whipped eggplant, olives, feta, and vegetables; inventive bar fare includes curry and chips with chicken tikka masala, the Kobe burger, and naan tacos with spicy short ribs, chile sauce, cucumber yogurt, and a cumin-cilantro slaw. A spritz bar showcases the classic Aperol Spritz, the Italian-flavored Hugo Spritz, and two non-alcoholic options, alongside a curated lineup of reasonably priced wines, beers, and $14 to $21 cocktails such as the American Samurai (olive oil-washed vodka, yuzu, lime, arugula) and the Ford's Gin-focused Early Fog (Earl Grey tea, lavender, lemon, Angostura bitters, egg white). Open Thursday through Sunday, it has a separate entrance on 25th Street near Wilshire, with hours Friday to Sunday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m." - Mona Holmes
