"Despite its suspect location inside a D.C. 7-11, underrated Laredo Taco Co. was a ten out of ten on a random recent visit. The lime-green counter on K Street NW, around since 2020, is known for its delightfully fluffy, grilled-to-order flour tortillas. My hefty handheld, topped with nicely marinated chicken and pick-your-own taco trimmings, was just around $5. In this economy? Yes, please. I decided to enjoy my takeout order in Laredo’s designated “dine-in” nook full of slick red stools facing the windows. I almost forgot I was inside a gas station chain normally synonymous with taquitos rolling for days." - Tierney Plumb
