"Benjamin Berg’s newest concept B.B. Lemon will open next week in the former Caddy Shack space across the street from B&B Butchers. The new classic casual eatery, located at 1809 Washington Avenue, will debut amongst 1,900 square-foot interiors that seat 76 inside the dining room, 22 at the bar, and another handful on the patio, according to the Houston Chronicle. It’s a low-key kind of place with checkered green and white “picnic-style” tablecloths to offset the vibrant yellow Lemon-themed branding. The menu is inspired by Berg’s favorite eats in New York and locally, according to the paper, and therefore will feature a relatively lengthy list of dishes including New England clam chowder, a lobster roll, fresh oysters and shrimp, blue crab beignets, along with more down-home dishes of hot wings, burgers, sandwiches, and chili, all headed up by Chef Eric Johnson. For dessert, floats, cheesecake, and banana pudding are on offer. Leading the beverage program is Monique Cioffi-Hernandez (formerly of Liberty Kitchen & Oysterette and Field & Tides), who dreamt up a killer cocktail menu including the Uptown Kiss with vodka, lemon, mint orgeat, and Topo Chico." - Alaena Hostetter
