"Since SuViche Hospitality Group purchased Novecento last summer, I’ve seen the team focus on restructuring back-end operations and researching the brand in Argentina to better understand its identity; now they plan to debut a revamped Novecento at CityPlace Doral this summer. The overhaul includes a menu-wide refresh with new dishes across all categories—such as a la carte meats offered with new side items and “lighter” dishes—plus a new cocktail menu of about a dozen drinks and an updated beer and wine program. The space, designed by Saladino Design Studios, will aim for self-described “rustic charm” with brick walls, copper and polished brass fishes and an open layout. Novecento originally opened in 1991 in New York’s SoHo and quickly expanded internationally to places like Canitas, Argentina; Punta del Este, Uruguay; and Córdoba, Argentina; it arrived in Miami in 2002 and later had locations in Miami Beach, Brickell, Key Biscayne, Aventura and Midtown Miami, and currently has 13 locations across the U.S. and South America." - Olee Fowler
