Jacksonville-Based Metro Diner Moves Into West Ashley | Eater Carolinas

"A Jacksonville-based diner chain with multiple locations (including one in Aiken, SC) is opening a Lowcountry outpost at 1808 Sam Rittenberg Boulevard in West Ashley next month. Known for generous portions—an attribute praised by Guy Fieri when the restaurant was featured on Food Network’s Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives—the menu focuses on American comfort food such as meatloaf, the Pittsburgh steak salad, chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits, pulled pork, and mac ’n cheese. The new location will operate weekdays 7:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.–9:00 p.m., and weekends 7:00 a.m.–9:00 p.m.; it is currently recruiting roughly 100 local hires for servers, hosts, cooks, and kitchen staff, with applications accepted online or by calling (843) 894-0202." - Erin Perkins
