Red Rabbit Re-Opens After Fire - Eater Twin Cities
"5Rocks Distilling expects to open some time later this summer as part of a riverside development in the city located just about in the middle of the state of Minnesota. Lisa Desrocher won a contest sponsored by the Brainerd Chamber of Commerce to open a 12,000 sq ft distillery with a 1,000 sq ft cocktail tasting room. Derocher, a food scientist, plans to use local grain, sugar beets, potatoes and wild rice to make gin, rum and vodka. The new distillery is part of the statewide surge in local spirit brewing." - Joy Summers
