"An Austin coffee truck is growing up with a new physical space this year, thankfully at the same address. Terrible Love will be moving from its meals-on-wheels location into a new cafe space at the Baker Center on 3908 Avenue B, still in Hyde Park, starting sometime this summer. Terrible Coffee’s physical space will include a walk-up window with access to outdoor dine-in areas at the garden. The menu will remain mostly the same — espresso drinks made with beans from roasters Parlor Coffee in New York and Mercado Sin Nombre in Austin. It’s also known for speciality lattes like the grapefruit brown sugar and the Trrbl one made with chocolate and banana syrups. New additions will be pour overs and special espressos. For food, there will be tacos and pastries. The new Terrible Love will be found in the same building as the Alamo Drafthouse headquarters and arts nonprofit Austin Classical Guitar. The coffee shop is actually taking over the building’s boiler room. Terrible Love owner and founder Brian Knowles started the coffee shop in 2021 in a former horse trailer parked on East 11th Street. The trailer relocated to MLK neighborhood brewery Oddwood Brewing in 2021, and then moved to Avenue B in 2022. Before Terrible, Knowles had worked at Wright Bros. Brew & Brew." - Nadia Chaudhury
