"I learned that Detroit’s favorite chocolate maker, Bon Bon Bon, is preparing to open another location in the Cass Corridor at 441 W. Canfield, on the same block as Jolly Pumpkin Pizzeria & Brewery. Founded by chocolatier Alexandra Clark in 2014 out of a 500-square-foot Hamtramck storefront, the company added a satellite retail location in downtown Detroit in 2015 and two years ago moved from its original shop into a roomier 3,000-square-foot bonbon factory. This Cass Corridor counter will be the company's third location (though it’s technically already opened three before) and will feature art from illustrator Michael Eugene Burdick. It is expected to sell new products including dog-friendly bonbons called Bones Bones Bones, with a portion of those sales supporting animal rescue charities. The Midtown outpost is slated to open on Tuesday, October 8." - Brenna Houck
