"It's taken more than 30 years, but one artfully-decorated Seattle favorite has finally expanded. Bizzarro Italian Cafe — the part flea market, part pasta spot, part trippy carnival destination in Wallingford — has opened up a second location in White Center. Right now, it has takeout, delivery via DoorDash, and limited outdoor seating available (dinner only, with lunch service coming soon). The restaurant first landed in Seattle back in 1986 and gained a reputation for wonderful pasta, including an elk bolognese with handmade pappardelle noodles, plus other comfort food dishes using locally-sourced ingredients (like the Forest Floor, with foraged mushrooms and walnuts in a sherry cream sauce). Original chef and owner David Nast — a visual artist — converted the former Wallingford auto shop into one of the more visually distinctive restaurants around town, with chandeliers and vintage artifacts an integral part of the setting the mood." - Gabe Guarente
