"A London restaurant ran a limited-time menu item called the “Double Drown,” a bacon-and-cheese sandwich that replaces the bun with two battered-and-fried lobster tails and is presented inside the lobster shell (diners are warned to remove the shell to avoid dental mishaps). Priced at $62 (or $75 with a side of fries and a glass of Champagne), the dish explicitly pays homage to KFC’s “Double Down” and follows a trend of over-the-top adaptations seen elsewhere, such as a foie gras–heavy version at Joe Beef in Montreal.
