"After a prior write-up the author made a pilgrimage to try the signature jellied coffee with milk (took it with oat). Since the writer did not spend childhood in Japan as their barista did, they were unfamiliar with jellied coffee’s game; plunging a straw into the signature jelly coffee with milk and swirling the light, mellow coffee around the ice and milk "got the ingredients talking to each other a little." Slurping the chunks of coffee through a little straw, the pieces didn't so much dissolve; "I added no sugar, found my coffee not that bitter at all, and would've happily ripped through two more." The small shop is stuffed with bags of beans sporting adorable tanuki logos and glossy portraits of coffee alike, and it has small tables ideal for such slurping. —Paolo Bicchieri" - Harry Cheadle
