Call Your Mother Will Keep Growing With a New Bagel Shop in North Bethesda | Eater DC

"Fast-expanding “Jew-ish” deli Call Your Mother is adding a Pike & Rose shop in North Bethesda expected to open this spring; this fifth store at 11807 Grand Park Avenue joins the pink bagel trolley the company opened in Bethesda (8804 Old Georgetown Road) in June and pandemic-era outposts on Capitol Hill and in Georgetown. Co-owners Andrew Dana and 2017 Eater Young Gun Daniela Moreira debuted the hit bagel brand in Park View in fall 2018, earning a spot on Eater’s 16 Best New Restaurants in America the following year. The newly announced 2,300-square-foot location, which moves into a former Lucky Brand retail store, will sell the wood-fired bagels the shop is known for and serve popular items like the “Royal Palm” (plain cream cheese, smoked salmon, cucumbers, tomatoes, red onions, and capers on an everything bagel), a Latin-leaning pastrami sandwich on rye, and babka muffins, and will be open for on-site ordering and pre-order pickup from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m." - Tierney Plumb
